  1. Dear MODS, not sure how allowed this sort of post is, let me know. Thanks! Hi everyone! I am looking for people who would be interested in coming together for 'dyads' or what you could call 'cooperative contemplation'. The dyad is a powerful way of contemplation that involves two people (it's always a pair). I find it is contemplation on steroids - you have a great motivation to get to the Truth as there is another person, you learn to communicate from direct experience, you learn to be absolutely receptive to another. Here is a description (a rather complex one. In reality, the method is very simple) from the website dyad.org Here it is! Such a wonderful method! I am looking for people who are interested in Truth and would like to join me in these sorts of practices online. We would set up a Zoom call, I presume, and contemplate together Let me know if you feel it's something you'd like to try out.
  2. 'The Graveyard Book' by Neil Gaiman. This novel is an absolute masterpiece.
  3. It all started years ago when I first encountered Leo Gura and his teachings on contemplation. I was hooked from the start. I never knew how this was to turn out. I started contemplating and was really not skillful enough to do it well, however, as I followed Leo and discovered Peter Ralston, I firmly decided that I would create a life of constant contemplation and mad insights. As the years went by, I got better and better, my concentration and mind-penetration abilities becoming sharper and sharper. How wonderful! - I though. As I dreamed, mad insights appeared, superb experiences, and above all (without me reaaaaly realizing it) a state of great focus of the mind, that I became hooked on. Literally hooked. The last few months, I became so good, that each day when I woke up, a profound question or phrase would come into my mind and I would allow it to drill down, down, down into myself, coming to the bottom, and then over again. Such joy! Finally, the mind is stable! What I didn't realize was, that this is still thought. Even though I am blissed out on the focused mind, I am basically missing Being. Of course, my intention here isn't to demonize contemplation, Leo, spiritual practice or anything else. All these are so helpful. But shit! I questioned everything! Everything, but the questioning itself. Shit! And it turns out, this questioning is an almost constant activity I am engaged in, which very effectively keeps me from Being. That being said, I wish you Being.
  4. What is food really. It's a fuel for my Love. Please, treat is as such. It is the raw substance from which my work can come. Please, pay the utmost respect to it, by converting it into the action of the highest Love you are capable of. It entrusted its own life to you, act accordingly.
  5. I think too high a dose. I sort of did. For me, it was getting more and more intense and suddenly I realized... and boom - nothing. I am back.
  6. Stabilize in the body. There is a very distinct sense of stability when you actually drop down into the body as consciousness. By stabilizing in the body, you stabilize in matter. Consciousness finally finds its true anchor.
  7. Asking yourself what you would enjoy doing at that moment and quietly listening to what comes up
  8. Here is a view on psychedelics, that discourages the usage of them. -they bypass the body -they are tamasic (sattva-rajas-tamas) -they exhaust the endocrine system What do you think?
  9. Well, to be fair, you probably have no idea what his meditation programs do. It is kind of possible, that using a steady, non-psychedelic approach produces a completely different awakening, (let's say a really embodied one) that you have no clue about, since you didn't go through it (same as you claim that they have no clue about the states that 5-MeO produces).
  10. I will be starting university this September. I am excited to study and to use my time for actualization to the max. However, for that I need money. Some of the things I want to finance are: a private room in the university town kung-fu and qi-kung lessons organic food retreats self-help materials (books, courses) The country I live in is not the most optimal for earning money. However, I live in the EU and have the possibility to go work in other countries (Germany, Netherlands, Switzerland..) with higher wages. I was planning to go hitchhiking and seeking my fortune, hoping to find a job somewhere (possibly a farm job?). My question is, does anyone know of an area I could find a farm job? Anywhere in the EU? I would not say no to other kind of job opportunities, that would allow me to earn money for the upcoming year either. Let me know if anything comes to mind, please!
  11. Intermittent fasting solved this for me (omad specifically).
  12. @Edan That's a really good video.
  13. Realizing the Self (Nirvana) allows you to enter back into matter (Samsara) as that Self. That is compassion. Coming into matter as your own Self.
  14. In Sanskrit tapas means heat. In Eastern traditions, tapas meant spiritual striving. Tapas occurs when there is a deep, deep need for a deeper Love, Connection, Wholeness, for God. When this need is felt and acknowledged, there can be an inner decision, a powerful bowing to Reality. There can be a - 'Yes! From now on, whatever happens, whatever takes place, however impossible, however difficult - I am committed to Truth and Truth ONLY!' This deep inner commitment reverberates across time and space and does not allow us to live as we have lived so far. It is time for a full surrender. Are you willing to take that on?
  15. not there yet, if I remember, I'll let you know when I finish
  16. @Leo Gura lately I heard you mention 5-MeO, but not DPT anymore. What's your opinion now? Did you have any further experiences with these that made you stick to 5-MeO? Anyone else here worked with DPT and had some good results?
  17. You don't trust blindly, but you are always willing to see the One Self in the other, even if he was false twenty times. You see that the One is there, untouched - so there is a possibility of change. Always.
  18. @justfortoday Take good care, friend. Do some gentle exercises, maybe self-massage. Take a hot bath if you like that, cry if you need to, maybe scream a little. Maybe watch a cartoon. Take good care
