That, which was already mentioned above - finding my teacher. Honestly, all these awakenings, experiences and insights I had before the meeting, were peanuts in comparison. What came about as a result of that meeting was simply a fucking unquestionable commitment to Truth. Wheter I am nothing, everything, or just a little old me, this commitment has no end. -

Something more from me: As I'm saing in the description. It's quite experimental. If it makes sense to you, let me know.

I saw that on another spiritually minded forum (My Big Toe), they have a topic for requesting prayers/healing. As I think there is plenty of us here with consciousness developed enough to be able to pray for others effectively, I thought this could be a good idea? If a dozen people send loving-kindness to a sick person, something might shift, no? If a dozen people send reassuring intention towards someone doing a retreat, it might have effect, no? Is anyone interested in doing this?

It's not about the question. Simply hone on the desire, which led you to even consider contemplating one of these - that desire itself is your question, your doorway to the insight you are seeking. -
Consciousness of consciousness Noticing consciousness we notice a being which is everywhere. What a shock! Our mind is blown again, when we notice that this consciousness, this being, is iteslf conscious. What is it conscious of? Well... of ourselves, for once. It's as if "looking straight at us", while we are looking straight at it. We are face to face with a living, sentient, and at the same time everywhere-being being.

No. Enlightenment and shadow work are seperate. (you can see some of Ken Wilber's work, he explains it reasonably and Leo has some of his books in his list). For that you must come into the body. To the very belly - literally. These are the lower centers that need to be taken care of. It's the physicality, humanness, pain and pleasure that you need to meet. -

How about directing your loving-kindness into anything you have going in your life? For example, if you have a hard time with money, direct your loving kindness to the very core of the feeling that is behind it. If you are not totally clear with your sexuality, direct loving-kindness to the core of that. If there is anything in your life that is less than totall-loving-kindness (lol) direct your loving-kindness into the deepest core of that. Sounds good? -

It's totally fine. Don't worry about it, let it do it's thing. It can be really freaky, extatic, painful, whatever - it's ok. Look into what kriyas are: ...it might put you more at ease to see that it's part of the whole deal -

So the forum I am referring to in the beginning is obviously this forum, while the man I'm mentioning is the user @Hellspeed. Enjoy the read Some time ago, on an online forum, I came across this guy who talked about awakening in very different terms than everyone else (most people on the forum were strict non-dualists). He referred to many bodily organs, and claimed that these needed to be awakened, he used a lot of archetypal and mythical imagery, and he stressed ‘the Breath’. Yes, he talked about the Breath with a capital B, and he claimed that awakening it was the first step altogether. Clearly there was something else on his mind apart from our regular, everyday inhaling and exhaling. Although I was fascinated by the man’s vigor and straight-forwardness, I didn’t realize what the Breath was for a long time. Now I am pretty certain I know what he was referring to, and I’d like to write about it. The Breath is indeed the same breath that we know so well, but you could say it’s a deeper, subtler version of it. The way to find it is to make a movement inside the body. Not necessarily into any specific part of it, it’s more like every cell of the body turns on itself and goes into itself. What happens then? The easiest way I can describe it, is that the frequency of the body drastically increases. It’s as if someone just turned up the volume on your energy, and at first it can seem overwhelming and unbearable — as if your body was going to burst from the inside. But as we relax, we see that we can let this energy move naturally, allowing it to caress our bodies, instead of inflicting pressure upon them. At this point, we might notice, that this high frequency, subtle energy movement is closely tied in with our regular, old breath. Really, it’s its deeper dimension. This Breath gives us an access point to that deeper part of us. That also means, that as we are staying with (or more accurately - as) it, we encounter everything else that is inside us on the level. What’s down there? A hell of a lot of pleasure, and a hell of a lot of pain. Sometimes it’s not easy to tell which one of these is harder to take. Precisely these pockets of forgotten and denied pleasure and pain are why we are not experiencing the Breath, or its dimension. We are simply afraid of them. We have stored them down there, cut ourselves off from the Breath, and forgot about the whole deal. Of course, it does not cease to exist, it constantly calls, and we might label it as ‘the subconscious’. It constantly surfaces, but since we are not willing to admit that it’s a part of us (we are actively denying it), we blame its effects on forces “outside of us”. On societal rules, other people, our own bodies, life itself. In reality, once we gather the courage to free our subconscious pain as well as pleasure, we quickly find, that down in the cellar of our mind, EVERYTHING is stored. Every single cause of every single happening, experience and quality that we might encounter in our lives seems to be down there. And it’s nothing more than a tightness that we ourselves are performing. If we decide to take the Breath, and along with it the entire reality of the subconscious, we’re in for a hell of a ride, which will eradicate every illusion, as well as grant every desire.

@Jaka Pirs Hanzic not really. I just become that Breath and the body opens up to me like a flower in the sun (or sometimes cracks like ice meeting an ice-breaker :D) -

Yep, there is some truth to that. Awareness of the body is cool, but in order to discover it deeply, you need to delve into it, rather than just observe it. What are the benefits of opening the body? For once, you find yourself fearlessly on the Ground. You own your body, you care for it, you love it, and so you also love all of your darkness and pain, and also the darkness and pain of all of humanity. You start healing stuff that you had no idea was there. You finally fucking face the pain of life. You start realizing that the body is a direct connection to the wisdom of the Ground, you basically become psychic. And perhaps most importantly, since you now know your body, know your pain, know your vulnerability, you can stand compassionately in the face of other people displaying these traits. You become a safe haven. But the road goes through hell (and heaven)... Here is a something I wrote about entering the body: -
Blazing the Trail from Infancy to Enlightenment Compiled by Barrett Chapman Brown This is a compilation witch takes us through developmental stages of not only values (Spiral Dynamics) and self-identity (Cook-Greuter, Loevinger), but also cognition, morals, faith... There were many researchers who studied human development through these various lenses. The stages discoered seem to corelate to each other, and that's how they are presented in this paper. These are excerpts directly from the researchers. Enjoy The paper

Seems like you have to start doing it. Do you mind communicating here what self-actualization and consciousness is to you? (Be as radically straight-forward and honest as you can!) -
okulele replied to okulele's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
You just kinda have to do it. It's sort of like finding a limb that you forgot you had. You can start with breathing and finding that quality of breath, that penetrates deep into the tissues of the body. It goes into the very DEPTHS. See if that points you anywhere. Let me know! -

@seeking_brilliance Yeah, he might not have called it that, but I'm pretty sure that's what it was. I think he called it tantra. Same same. -
