I know, but where does this notion come from of having a higher self that is seperate from your higher self and just moves to another body to experience another life and evolve, yet it's the same self. Sounds like ego not wanting to die. In another topic Leo said to a guy that he will need 10 life times to get to the same level as sadhguru, that is what i don't get? -

That makes sense. I've had the same realisation once. I'm just confused about those who say you need more than one lifetime to get to a certain level, because that would mean my soul would stay the same which makes no sense. How do you stay the same or take with you the knowledge you gathered in this life time? -

I'm wondering why you chose the masculine, feminine duality? Any perticular reason? -

Definitely cold showers if you only have 2 minutes haha . Although doing a cold shower without being mindful or in a meditative state is not pleasant. So I don't think you can really benefit from a cold shower if you're not meditative. Wim hof teaches this, good stuff, really like it. -
I recently had an incredible insight in to my own workings. I went to my therapist for the second time, nothing really deep happened. When I was driving home I was contemplating some dualities i'm strugling with. Basicly I like two extremes which don't seem to be able to coexist(this is what I believe about it so was unable to exept it). Then I asked the question "why do I like these extremes, why am I like this?" And then out of nowhere this voice said "I just like it this way". I know this doesn't sound like much but at that moment the duality collapsed, my brain exploded, my heart exploded with energy, I basicly cried the entire way home, hyperventilating and being euforic as can be. When I came of it the duality was back and I'm now strugling to embody the insight I got. Any tips on how to do this?

@Buba I wonder if it's resistance to the insights that snaps you back or the mind trying to figure it out and by that numbing down the experience? -

@Lister I wouldn't go that far as to say that I'm attached to the experience. It was a incredible experience though, nothing more nothing less. It showed me something I needed to see and come to accept. I would also not categorise it as an ego backlash, more an unablement to describe the experience. The ego does want to hang on to it or at least wants to understand it. @Consilience I think you're right. it's been more than a week now having had the experience and I notice small things that don't bother me anymore which did before. Trust is key here I guess in that everything eventually will fall in to place. -
@Pullmyfinger I've seen a few of her videos and get that she's probably not turquois (more green) but why do you put her in a cult section?

I recently read Jed mckenna's books and he seems to be completely against a heart centered approache. He would even recommend going in the opposite direction. He says if it feels good (it's ego or maya getting to you) you're not looking in the right direction. There are probably some nuances I didn't get, maybe someone else read his books and can give a better understanding of them relating to this heart centered approache? -
Neorez replied to Swagala's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Swagala I can relate to this. I got in to spiritual work because of the no-self or egolessness which resonated with me, because I hated certain aspects of myself. I hoped that getting rid of the self those aspects would follow. There is a lot of counter intuiveness in spiritual work. If certain aspects have power over you, you should accept them only then they'll lose their grip. It's something I struggle a lot with. Best of luck moving forward! -

@Serotoninluv Thanks for the depth of your answer, it definitely clears some things up. It was an incredible experience which fades like a dream the more you think about it, the more it slips away. I now understand what they mean when they say you can't speak about it, only around it. Because when you do, you again conceptualise and cut it up to bite size pieces. Will definitely work on it with you advise in mind! -

@Anton_Pierre I don't think I'm at a level where you're advise makes any sense to me. But thanks anyway! -

If I only knew how these insights come about, then I could summone one right now ? -
Bran seems to be on to something as well as the three eyed raven(is he enlightened?). I think he is even more spiritually evolved than the faceless men.

The wim hof method got me in to meditation. I find the periods of breath retention very powerful. You're entire body it still so you can feel everything moving and buzzing. I feel that the breating technique resembles the shamanic breathing. I haven't done it more than 5 sets because it was was to strainyous, but is you see videos of the course where they are doing the breating for more than 45min at a time then the participants seem to have the same experience as during the shamanic breathing. Good stuff! -

@Paul92 Indeed, or so it feels. I'm a product designer and I hate designing things that doesn't benefit humanity and is only good moneywise. Don't know how to get out of this nihilism. -

I sometimes wonder what jobs you guys are in and how you combine it with awakening and losing all meaning? -

@Tausif Ahmed I think you'll have a harder time trying to convince them that their everyday experience is a hallucination. Then again you can't convince anyone of anything, so why bother. When they're ready they'll see and if not, so be it. -

@Pouya He sure does and I was quiet unhappy about it. Goes to show how much I was attached to all the spiritual beliefs. I also like his way of saying that a book is never about the writer but about the reader. It never really dawned on me. I alsofound his forum to day and saw that he posts alot on there, really interesting stuff on there. -

@ajasatya @FoxFoxFox guess i'll have some work to do. -
Neorez replied to Neorez's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@ajasatya I don't want to misunderstand you, Could you elaborate on that? -
Neorez replied to Neorez's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@ajasatya I do see. But I do not feel it yet to be this way. It is funny yes. But I haven't dealt with the facts that there is nowhere to stand. The realisation of my freedom will come but it is not yet in my experience. -
Neorez replied to Neorez's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@FoxFoxFox You misunderstand what I mean with purposelessness. I'm mean hat there is no goal to life, that life as it is is the goal. Like dancing or music, the purpose is playing the music and doing the dance not the end of it. Yet i'm not feeling it to be this way and trying to force it will only push me away from where I want to go. -
Neorez replied to Neorez's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@FoxFoxFox i don't believe the world is depressing but I do start to see that it is purposeless. So how do I decide what to do? I just don't believe in arranging the world in a way that is all up and no down like alan watts explains it. To say it is one thing or to only wanting to see one thing in exclusion of the opposite is just plain stupid. Not that i'm any good at it but i'm starting to see it more and more.
