Your Vision on this is very myopic. As the cost will come down over time due to Entrepreneurs, more and more leaders will be able to access it. As @cetus said the majority of them are likely to experience that "Overview effect". This is simply a matter of probability. This technology will inject trillions of dollars in resources into the economy in decades to come. NASA is promoting space entrepreneurship by awarding contracts due to these reasons. They understand the long-term outcome of this. Branson did not focus on PR this time, as he used to before, because he is an old man and simply does not care how people may misrepresent it at this point in his life. He had to go first for proving safety so it becomes a viable option by simulating demand, therefore, bringing down costs. Potential customers don't wanna be scared by rockets blowing up on YouTube. This proves safety. If he did care about PR and focused on explaining this vision in layman's terms then everyone would have been singing a different tune right now. -
@Preety_India The Mind Illuminated book by John Yates. Where you at bro? We can discuss about it if you find it interesting.

Lol. It's like cutting the word man out of mansion and claiming mansions are made out of men and their bones, not bricks and pillars. That's how foolish this is. -
Is it helping you? I am learning breathing meditation from TMI.

@StomatopodNot a strawman. Did you see his previous posts?? He wants a Socialistic revolution. And yes, he is advocating for equality of outcomes. That is what Socialism is. In the original post, this is clearly mentioned by me in the first sentence. -
I understand. Which doctor is advising you currently?
-
@Preety_India How are you feeling now?

I thought that you wanted to learn to write books. You asked a question about authors' articulation styles to Leo.

Based on your previous conversations as well I suspect that What you are talking about is not income equality. It is easy to confuse between the two. You are talking about equality of outcomes. In creating equality of outcomes, opportunities and wealth creation itself is lost. The only way to have equality of outcomes, in practice, is by everyone having nothing. (Venezuela, Holodomor Ukraine, etc.) The meta-message applies when it is done selectively as well. What Richard Branson did by creating the company Virgin Galactic is possible with higher taxation as well. Some people will still whine about it. In the highest tax or wealth caps, wealth/value creation and opportunities themselves are lost. @Husseinisdoingfine What is your take on Quantitative Easing done by the govt. out of thin air? What (percent) role do you think it played in creating income/wealth inequality? I have observed these patterns lately. The far-right understands these complex systems and patterns but is pathologically indifferent hence leads to deaths. The far-left is pathologically incapable of understanding these complex systems and patterns (either that, or depending on the person, wants pathologically high degrees of equality of outcomes leading to a new form of inequality and mass-destruction ) and hence leads to deaths. The abundance of opportunities for growth of civilization and collective (or individual) wealth creation and equality of outcomes are two mutually exclusive things. Only one can exist at a time. There is a difference between equality and equality of outcomes. -

@trenton I think 37 percent is not capital gains tax which is how you tax on stocks and real estate? That is income tax not capital gains tax. -
@Preety_India Not Books? I thought you were learning to write books. You were asking Leo about it before.

I think I have seen that one before. Back then when I started to learn programming. What do you wanna write about? What do you like to write?

Wages also go down as they do not keep up with inflation. All this is compound (negative) effect upon compound (negative) effect upon compound (negative) effect. A spaghetti of compound negative effects, creating negative outcomes in multiple layers. This is because of shitty policy making and reporting of the US govt. There is no alternative to solving this. Taxation will not replace it. In fact, very high taxation will make this even worse. -
captainamerica replied to Bobby_2021's topic in Society, Politics, Government, Environment, Current Events
Inflation is one of the worst for the US due to printing money out of thin air, Quantitative Easing, and the US changing to unreliable ways of reporting inflation. Many similar issues are the real problems and big wins that people actually want if they had the understanding. Inflation also pushes the need for incomes and capital gains into higher tax brackets. But if the foundation is the house of cards then this need as well (as well as the imaginary benefits for the highest tax) as the topmost priority (leaving the other major things), is illusory as well logically speaking. -

Becoming more conscious does not take away the sense of equity. And the sense of equity is determined by the overall development of society in that time. Relativism can be misused here. (including cannibalizing effects without compensation to economy as a whole). Depending on the creative power of the Conscious (or even Enlightened person), the sense of equity is in fact increased. This is as true as it gets in the relative political domain. And it cannot be changed either since it is rooted in human psychology, evolution, etc. Wouldn't you agree? @Danioover9000 The problem with the economy is much deeper than just the taxation of billionaires. It includes printing of money as @StarfoxEpiphany said (unusually high inflation due to this in 2020) , wall st. manipulation, short selling, Quantitative Easing, percentile deviations between wages vs capability(underpayment) etc. I am left inclined. But the problem with woke left is scapegoating, which they may not intend to do. But the consequence of a revolution that takes away at scale wealth creation with the highest tax rate without understanding the real problems created by all the above issues is catastrophic. It will lead to millions being jobless and many deaths. The majority of the issues that even Leo outlined can be solved by removing health sectors privatization (free-market philosophy)and placing it under the major public influence like other countries do, with a combination of progressive tax rates. In the rest of the industries minor interference at best. If the interference is more due to sentimental reasons without understanding the complexity of these systems then again the outcome is catastrophic at scale for millions. I do not believe for a sec. that the US society can handle a Gini index less than ~30 percent. The ideal is about that which higher tax rate will get, along with dealing with the critical/major issues. Less than 30 percent without proper structures in place and skipping physical development and a real understanding of the complex systems sounds good on paper (in short term) just like marxism does but the consequences are catastrophic. I should probably put the word Catastrophic in bold. Millions jobless, food supply and production disruptions, deaths, etc. This is data, not fear-mongering as labeled by some due to their own survival agenda. -
Which video? Have never seen it.

I don't believe that. You can! But if it does not interest you then fine. Find your muse.

Tell that to your mind. Doing that will be of some practical use to you. If you call that "research" then I don't know what to say to you. Does it come from the same place which calls Founders in 2021 as Aristocrats of France in the 17th century? https://illimitablemen.com/2017/05/26/critical-thinking-the-citation-needed-fallacy/ -

@Epikur Is EpiKur short for Epistemological Kuru? How many times you will not be open-minded to a basic fact? -
captainamerica replied to Bobby_2021's topic in Society, Politics, Government, Environment, Current Events
This is the same way Trump said he is humble. Learn to make basic distinctions from your own thinking and observation. -
captainamerica replied to Bobby_2021's topic in Society, Politics, Government, Environment, Current Events
You could not understand a basic fact. Don't blame it on me. -
captainamerica replied to Bobby_2021's topic in Society, Politics, Government, Environment, Current Events
@Epikur Difference in definitions, jack. I never said the 180 degrees opposite to it. But opposite to your projections is implied. Learn the basic difference. Even high schoolers know this bro. Why are you doing this? An easy example for you: An "expensive" item for you is not "expensive" for a millionaire. -
captainamerica replied to Bobby_2021's topic in Society, Politics, Government, Environment, Current Events
Nice excuse from a conspiracy theorist. "a modest and low-profile lifestyle," this is written in quotes in the article you are talking about. They did not write it directly, put it underquotes. The point about the difference in definitions which you did not understand before. @Epikur I am not here to fix your epistemologically broken ass. This is a common excuse made by people like you who don't do the work. The Citation Fallacy. https://illimitablemen.com/2017/05/26/critical-thinking-the-citation-needed-fallacy/ -
What do you like? I have read that you like writing?

captainamerica replied to Bobby_2021's topic in Society, Politics, Government, Environment, Current Events
@Epikur You search for Ken Honda who researched about 12,000 Japanese millionaires....... see how they have private jets, cars, mansions, etc.
