  1. of course if you label things then yes that is labelling. what is the point or question? It feels like more over analysis to me
  2. Not watching the news has fixed the problem Over analysis doesn't help much
  3. India was onto some crazy info thousands of years ago. From some other page about their ultimate god Brahma who lives a day and all of the universe is contained within that day. The four yugas make up a Kalpa or a Divya Yuga which lasts for 4,320,000 years(4.32 million years) We have completed 10 Yuga Cycles till now making it 43,200,000 years(4.32 billion years) Marking the age of earth 4.32 billion years from the moment life had begun. Thousands of years ago they metaphorically claimed existence/earth was 4.32 billion years old. We now think the earth is about 4.5 billion years using modern science. I trust the ancients more, whatever methods they used are more fun to believe in
  4. If you believe you don't exist, you are not actually typing words on a keyboard or smart device right now, Leo doesn't exist so he cannot answer you, the internet doesn't exist etc then why are you bothering at all? How can all the things required to validate the theory that nothing exists be extant? You use the things you claim don't exist to try and prove that nothing exists! It's not specifically you who does it, it's like half the people here and it's so damn obvious.
  5. How does the acting world treat Jim Carrey now that he endorses self inquiry?
  6. That isn't a crack in the egg You've cracked the chicken You've held up a mirror and now you are on the other side LOL
  7. Eat an extra big salad every day on top of what you have now
  8. Why is not setting calorie limitations part of the plan to lose weight?
  9. Either because I was no longer bored and needed to be full of energy or because I was so desperate I just had to.
  10. Try and breath into the headache. You may already know this but if you don't just imagine breath comes from your head not your lungs and you should push the breath into the part that hurts. Focus on it and see what happens. I have a similar thing but it is actually facial tension and not a 3rd eye awakening I get acupuncture sometimes and it taught me the parts of the neck/ shoulders and head that hold tension. If you're anything like me you may actually be releasing tension you didn't realize was there and you have hit a point where you are about to unleash a lot of tension. If that is the case it feels amazing releasing it, but it is painful and very uncomfortable. Once you stop meditating you are tense again and that tension is back in your forehead to protect a deeper problem of scar tissue, so it doesn't hurt and you just slowly creates even more tension. Once again this is if you're like me, I did originally think it was a 3rd eye type awakening and I'm not mocking it.
  11. Yeah but that doesn't do anything other than offer food for thought...... If you view it as a means to an end then the end result is that you understand people more and you will not piss people off for not agreeing with what they do or believe. If you conceptualize it you can debate about it but you're not arriving anywhere but the claim that objective morality does not exist. Then you are staring at the chicken and the egg again which is an egg that cannot be cracked. I agree with you but I disagree with any practical use of what you are saying
  12. Makes me think of the visual improvements of technology vs audio. Every few years there is a doubling of pixels and other improvements while audio is not really going anywhere. Sure the mass market don't even think about it like that, most people would never think sound could double it's bits and frequency (which is exactly what it does actually) but the biggest reason is that not that much can be done anymore, even when we double the bits and frequency it doesn't add more than a 1% improvement that most people cannot hear. I'm not sure what a billionaire is going to do? If he started to promote self actualization with billions of dollars I bet he would be ridiculed and those billions would drop and every other billionaire would keep privately paying their TM coaches. Those billions do create driverless cars and improve 3rd world cultures, give us the internet and other amazing things. Right now if could assure you 100% that if you work 16 hours a day 7 days a week for 10 years you will have 12 billion dollars would you do it?
  13. You won't transcend judgement one day, over years and years you will reach a point where you are better than the average person but you won't be a god. A heckler wants attention, they think they are better or at least they think their criticism is somehow entertaining or clever. Some hecklers seem to come prepared while others are drunk and in the moment but it always someone with a big ego. Criticism is more along the lines of nit picking, not placing yourself in someone else's shoes and trying to understand why a fault is there in the first place. It hides your faults as you subconsciously build yourself up. It's a thought pattern that needs to be controlled just like any other thought and gradually killing off these criticisms can only open you up to your own faults and reminds you how you have reacted in the past when someone criticized you. If a regular person started to criticize you for something out of your control you would feel wronged. "I can't help it" you would say. Maybe the people you criticize can't help it too. Maybe only the person you most respected in the entire planet could comfortably criticize you......like if Stanley Kubrik rose from the dead I would let him take a look at my screen play, but nobody else! You can only be angry at someone if they committed a deed you yourself could commit. Are people angry about Hitler? No he's beyond anger. We are angry about people who are vain, lame, nerdy, ugly, pompous, greedy, seedy, lazy, back stabbing, manipulative etc So you are only ever criticizing acts you used to commit, even if you were a lame nerdy there was a lamer nerd and that wasn't you and you knew it.
  14. the meek will inherit a charred burnt crust of a world because they were too busy turning the other cheek while the tough guys with the big muscles blew it to pieces.
  15. This isn't advice but only an observation I've made when trying to determine whether I wrote a good song or not, basically most people always act under the assumption they are talented - their parents probably had a big hand in how the view the world - and that their subjective opinions are correct. At the same time a few people always seem to think that they are not good enough, and some of these self critical people are actually not nearly as bad as they think. Lastly the rarest group is the group that understand how talented they really are. Basically just by asking this question I think you are on your way to joining that last group. Mark Knopfler from Dire Straits cannot sing and he knows it so he intentionally writes all his songs specifically to cover up this fact - he knows what he's good at and what he's bad at.
  16. Well just by virtue of saying "I believe" says I understand others do not. I don't say I know and that is why I say "I believe", it actually implies possibility of being wrong to me
  17. I believe collectively we do have free will but the individual can only react. For example Martin Luther King was only reacting to what was happening around him and the collective consciousness was ready to apply its free will and make a change.
  18. but then there is experience and the experiencer you seem to think the ocean is wet and that is proof that there is no water. trusting your microscope to magnify through space which does not exist to say "look how insignificantly empty space is" is beyond absurd. sorry but I will always find the strange loop, it is inescapable. trust truly is all you have to go on
  19. we don't know what the remaining is but it is something, not nothing, I don't see how it could even be argued any other way
  20. A hydrogen atom is about 99.9999999999996% empty space. Put another way, if a hydrogen atom were the size of the earth, the proton at its center would be about 200 meters (600 feet) across. So if the earth lost all land and you were floating over a still ocean and came across a landmass of 200 meters you would consider it just more nothing? That is the everything right there You still ignored the microscope bit, did you do that on purpose or are you really only seeing what you can answer and subconsciously ignoring everything else? vagueness is self deception
  21. Atoms are almost empty, they contain other smaller bits that too are almost empty and they contain smaller bits that too are almost empty. If you needed a microscope to see the atom which is filled with nothing how can you rely on the microscope which is nothing? You proved nothing is there with something material but also conceptual. There is too much based in "something" for me to understand your atoms are pure empty idea. Yes it has interesting similarities with the size of the universe compared to the planets and stars but so? you are still needing science concepts and microscopes to hone your theories sorry if it seems rude of me but I have seen this before and I don't get it
  22. As slade mentioned you don't know where your thoughts come from. Your nervous system sends information and your brain just creates a narrative to fit your reactions to outside stimuli. To determine which of 2 objects is heavier requires your nervous system to tell you which one is heavier, your brain does nothing other than create narrative in hindsight. That explains it from a more human angle, understanding the whole "you are not the hands or the brain" bit might be too much at the beginning of self actualization work.
  23. Yes but you learnt this negative thinking and you have to unlearn it. It's just a habit you form and can be broken. For some reason it feels like more than a habit, it feels like you yourself, but really it is just a habit. The real you is not the bad habit or even the awareness of the bad habit.
  24. Sounds like ADHD symptoms or something along those lines. I go through phases where I do this and start to research the net for a cure. Then I go crazy with exercise and intermittent fasting and vegan diets meditation and mindfulness and I go back to normal. Slowly my stress levels grow if I don't maintain a healthy group of habits like I mentioned above and I gradually slip back into being manic. It's such a gradual change over months that I don't feel it happening, just all of a sudden I realize how many projects I've started with insane amounts of passion that fizzle out within a few weeks. I can always get myself back to normal but it is purely discipline and patience that gets me there and only discipline keeps me there. But I can harness the crazy sometimes and do some fun artistic things with my curse.
  25. I think you should like some things though. Lately I've been drooling over book shelves and hard cover books and paintings by a dead artist named Zdzisław Beksiński. I actually want the ornamental qualities of a book shelf, I want to place very important books on that book shelf, I want to feel the pages, I want them to get old and then some long lost grand daughter finds them and reads them. I gave up all those things in favor of digital and the convenience of one device and now my home is so uncluttered and soulless it feels like a doctor's surgery. So yeah, I like some stuff, some artists make these amazing bookshelves and cover art, some authors words are so important to me I want them in material form, I want to honor some dead legendary artists, I feel power out of paying good money for the real deal, all those things feel good to me.
