Yes, from the egos perspective I absolutely agree. -
Pure inspiration. I remember crying when I listened to him first time on Joe's podcast. That evening, I proceeded to snatch 20kg kettlebells until my calluses ripped apart and coudnt lift no more.

A challenge or goal to work towards.

I have avoided hard work for most of my life. What steps could I take to change that?
-
@rNOW Thanks mate. Ill be sure to set a reminder from now on. Have u made this into a habit? I mean when faced with a daunting task do u automatically choose to do it anyway?

Hypnosis subliminals affirmations Change environment (e.g. Be around positive people) increase consciousness/awareness Neurofeedback
-
Why dont u focus on bodyweight training instead.. like mastering free standing one arm handstand pushups or planche hold for example. Its waaaayy more rewarding than bodybuilding.
-
Dont be so quick to judge and point fingers until u have tried them yourself. There are professional and highly advanced subliminals out there which do in fact produce results. But u wont find them on youtube and can expect to pay hundreds of $.

Why do we escalate our egos In groups ( esp strangers /acquaintances), act and think in selfish ways, become hyper arrogant, try to prove that we are better and express ourselves more strongly. In contrast, with less people we try to get along and be nicer to each other.. Why is this?
-
Yes they do work!! But are u willing to invest the time, energy, get through ego backlashes, doubt etc... your subconscious will resist no doubt. (Its like building new a habit) Experiment and see for yourself. Dont believe anyone until u have tested yourself. As for seeking/finding the truth, i think affirmations/visualisations are merely a catalyst towards that end.

May I ask what is your life purpose?
-
@Charlotte Can u please elaborate? How were u exactly inviting suffering and what did u do to change (how u realized that it no longer served u)..?
-
Do it mate. I am 1 month in already with 8 months to go. There will be some free time u can use to read books. On weekends I can go home, so im planning to use that time for personal development. Once in a lifetime opportunity, u might regret not doing it. 8-12 months will fly by very quickly because I assume the days will be extremely busy and fast paced like mine.

Good luck my friend.

Acording to @Leo Gura, it's to DO THE EMOTIONALLY DIFFICULT thing in every situation. Fairly simple but difficult to do. How do you fully emody this principle into your life so you can self actualize? I have noticed that some people like David Goggins is one such example.

Anyone know if 5meo degrades overtime? Especially synthetic version. If so what is the best way to store it?
-
Yes, microdosing has helped me. I've experimented with LSD and psilocybin so far. However, don't expect miracles. These substances should be used carefully and strategically to avoid tolerance and over dependency. The substances alone will not cure depression. Best way I think is to combine it with meditation, exercise and clean eating. I recommend taking only twice a week for a month, then take 1-2 weeks off to reset tolerance. Again, can't stress this enough... Don't rely on it completely, use it as a catalyst/tool for accelerating growth in other areas. Hope that helps.

Long story short, was driving to work today, listening to Leo's Podcast; radical implications of oneness. Suddenly it hit me... my heart started to beat faster and my senses became sharper. Almost had a panic attack and was considering to stop driving. Similar effects to 5meo when ego is resisting. I was then washed over with feelings of intense joy and laughter but also shame for my ignorance to the truth and how selfish I am. I kept saying to myself, oh my god, oh my god... Soon these emotions subsided and for the next 2-3 hours I was in a state of effortless and intense presence. Sitting in traffic became the most wonderful thing. I would gaze at seemingly boring objects and yet make them out to be amazing. I still dont understand what I had experienced. Was this a mini enlightenment moment or what?

Specific techniques, environmental changes, books etc...
-
@Socrates I have had similar effects. Try microdosing mushrooms instead. The desired effects are much more consistent.

@Elysian Thanks for taking the time to write that. Inspiring and informative. Personally struggling with porn and unhealthy food. I think the environment plays a huge role in my circumstance and I need to move out as soon as I can. Also I think the root cause maybe the depression or lack of direction or purpose. Yesterday I stumbled upon "The Work" by Byron Katie and began to seriously inquire about my misery and I already feel the burden lifting, perhaps this could be the start of ending the addiction. I've also tried strong determination sittings and "do nothing technique" when the craving arises but I still fall back into the habit. Meditation isn't always the answer albeit certainly helps. From today I'm going cold turkey, the best I can do is to keep trying. @Nahm Thank you mate. @okulele Curious as to how you deal with the emotions, how are you channelling them?

@Joseph Maynor Do most or any of those substances come as one package or do u buy them separately and pop each one? How much are u paying?
-
How much did u take? Which method of administration?

Has anyone here in the past or currently planning to radically change their life 180 degrees? Leave everything behind and start fresh elsewhere. For example, if im working a 9-5 I decide to become a yogi apprentice or enlist in the armed forces etc... What are your opinions on these massive changes... compared to the conventional smaller changes like habits, moving house, finding a partner and so on.

What has helped me the most is PUA and rejection therapy challenges or any social challenges for that matter, which involve approaching random strangers and striking a conversation.
