  1. @Dodo Mere visualizations will not override core subliminal beliefs. I've never believed money was hard to get, and have no shortage of it, nor any great attachment to it ... easy come, easy go. Not that that is proof of anything, just this experience.
  2. The so-called law of attraction does seem to be a misnomer, as there is nothing 'out there' to attract. If anything it would be a law of creation, in the sense of: as conceived within, so it will appear 'without' -- there being no actual dichotomy. And it happens whether subliminally, within the context of an unquestioned, inherited ethos, or consciously, insofar as the spell of that unconscious context can be broken. Again, inquiry is paramount in uncovering those core beliefs and self-deceptions. It's the difference between knowingly living the dream, or the dream living you.
  3. The meaning of life is to dream up the meaning of life ... don't keep it too real
  4. @Omario Feeling that selves are better than one another is kind of like feeling that Luke Skywalker is better than Harry Potter.
  5. Whenever the notion appears that I am a "___" (fill in the blank), that is self-deception.
  6. @Slade Don't mess with Kali ... That beguiling feminine enchantment can be deadly
  7. @playdoh It all begins with that fixated self-identity belief. Once firmly established, all kinds of names, descriptors and add-ons can attach to it. Absent that belief, they have nothing to attach to. But insofar as they are repeatedly associated with it, and reinforce it, their falling away will feel like losing one's self-identity. All this losing and grasping and attaching will continue until all that remains is the namelessness. Even then, their is a tendency to give it a name, and then reattach to that ... such as: I am the Self; or I am Enlightened, or even I am Nothing. But ultimately any name that can be named must also go, and every descriptor is disposable. Good news is, that the self-identity of 'I am one who craves sex' just becomes the unadulterated experience.
  8. @nick96 If you're looking for spiritually-inspired, live-in, cooperative communes, there are several in Europe, such as these, which can be found by googling 'spiritual communes in Europe'. If it's some community you just want to visit occasionally for extended retreats, Mooji is based in Monte Sahaja Portugal. There are no doubt others, perhaps less well known, throughout Europe.
  9. @Outer As long as it is is not exclusive, dichotomous identification as something, and it's just an individual expression for the sake of this relational experience, it doesn't seem problematic. The so-called Self is another name for the nameless nothingness (notwithstanding that too is another name), and as such it is neither self nor no-self. Just an individual expression of All that is.
  10. Instead of exclusive dichotomous identification as a specific self, it's identification as the only self -- but identification nonetheless.
  11. Solipsism seems just self-identity taken to the extreme. If self-identity is dispelled, what remains?
  12. @Psyche_92 Any attachment to a 'permanent' state must also go. Just more grasping and exclusive identification ... samsara and nirvana are not segregated.
  13. @Malelekakis Another story may be that the 'Dream' of individuation is integral to this relational experience. In ultimate non-duality, no relational experience is possible, as there is nothing else to be in relation with. What possible telos, if any at all, this relational experience may hold, is a mystery. But again, best not to take these explanations literally. They are, at best, pointing to the Tao that cannot be told, and truly need not be told. Meanwhile, imagine the Divine singing to itself (who else?) ...
  14. @egoless No, no ... I'm making emptifullness out of Leo
  15. @Phillip Just one descriptor/pointer out of an infinitude? That which manifests as this Dream, and is not other than this Dream, as emptiness is not other than form, and form not other than emptiness ... but really no descriptor/pointer can convey this/that.
  16. @Shanmugam Maybe JM is plagiarising your answers and writing his own book ... Better publish soon !
  17. @Joseph Maynor It starts with one root belief: an exclusive, dichotomous self-identity. Then it's just a quick thought away from a 'right' maya-me vs a 'wrong' other-than-me.
  18. @Mighty Mouse Once upon a time imagined being such a fictional character as Roy with his trigger, at the Maya movie theatre
  19. Hmm ... what that ultimately is is quite revelatory
  20. @SuperLuigi Leo may have super siddhi powers to manifest in a dream ... Better pay attention. The message may be an invitation to inquire into who isn't a manifestation in this self-perpetuating Dream.
  21. Exclusive Girl/Guy Obessesion is a very entangled, persistent and resilient condition to alleviate, and often takes several courses of ongoing treatment, and much suffering, to overcome ... This might make a good allegory
