@outlandish My knowledge isn't really based on any marathon type training, but if you are pushing your body a lot and not consuming adequate protein, it will start catabolism muscle. This is why you sees a huge different in marathon runners, who are usually really skinny, versus sprinters who are jacked. Marathons runners obviously have a longer haul so the less weight they can carry the better, but sprinters need power to move faster in short distances. If you goal is to lose "weight" (like a wrestler wants to make weight for a meet) regardless of what it is (water, fat, muscle) you COULD run more to BUT you would have to not change the way you're eating right now. This may be what is right for you. My view is, I always wish to spare muscle as much as I can, but I'm coming from a body building perspective. I myself am currently not counting because I'm at the initial stage of my diet. I have to lose about 30-40 lbs and so any adjustment I make make right now will make a huge difference. Ill have to start counting when I want to get leaner. I stopped "bored eating" and "binge eating" at nights. That alone will make a huge difference, leaving me with all the other strategies later when I need them. I don't think cutting will matter so long as you load up for your race and fuel your body efficiently . I would carb load a few days before so you don't risk doing it last minute and feeling sluggish or whatever. Again, I'm not knowledgeable when it comes to track sports.

@outlandish Thanks for watching. Answer 1: the more fat you lose, the harder it will become. Even a bodybuilder on tons of steroids and illegal fat burners ( I know a few pros) will have to start doing cardio 2x a day 6 days a week, for 2-3 hours total on top of their routine; but that's to achieve like 3-5% bf levels...totally unnatural and unsustainable. 10-12% is a healthy and sustainable fat percentage. So in order to go lower, you have to either increase your work load OR decrease your calories further. Now you're already running 6x a week which is a lot. In your case, it would be way harder on you to increase running, so I would stop eating an unmeasured shit ton and start counting calories. This is why bodybuilders package their foods to preset meals; they weigh their foods and know the calorie count. This is the old-school method before apps. They eat the same boring crap until a cheat day. That's one method. Or you can use MyFitnessPal like I suggested and easily count your foods. (I keep using body building because that was what I enjoyed and how I train) Answer 2: Whole foods simply means densely nutritious foods. Whole grain bread is more nutritious than say ramen noodles. Both are carbs, both could contain even the same amount of calories when you match them, but one will be more satiating and nutritious than another. So when I say eat whole/densely nutritious foods, you should be eating nutritious foods that contain vitamins and minerals fiber and all necessary nutrients; whether plant or animal 80-90% of the time, then enjoy your Doritos or cookies the 20-10% of the time. The reason its OK to indulge in junk at that percent is because it does three things: A. Satifies any cravings you may have. B. Avoids binge eating since your not going weeks without a food you crave, and C. Most importantly, KEEPS YOU ON YOUR DIET!

On my way back from NYC right now to go see Rupert. It was cool experience to see him in person and be around like-minded people on a similar path. The questions I asked Rupert were basically these: Is my desire for justice in the world part of my ego driven it by my past experience in the Marine corps dealing with betrayal and government lies which has made me an anti-war activist . Is my desire to stop war egotistical being that war is part of this non-duality? Are we supposed to believe and accept that the people in this room with us are similar to the terrorists and murderers across the world? I know that this is a big game and that it's wavelengths changing so in other words, the errorist is really blowing himself up; consciousness is blowing itself up and this world is essentially perfect; even though on one hand there are butterflies and babies; on the other, brutality and genocide...and this is something we have to accept that's perfect..So if it is perfect then why do I have this desire to change it? His response was basically this: "It's not your ego to want Justice in the world, it is your true nature. If we were to sit you and the terrorist down together there would be much difference in thought, but if we were to ask both of you what you truly are, you would both be the "I am" ....the consciousness. However the terrorist has a more density of thoughts clouding the light within; in another words, the terrorist is not allowing the light inside to shine through, whereas someone like you who wants to stop war and do all these things allows it to shine through. And what is shining through is not ego..." Of course I'm paraphrasing his answer because I don't remember it verbatim but that's essentially it. I'm glad to hear that my desire to help the world is not egotistical as I thought it would be driven by the fearful false self. Everyone in the crowd enjoyed my question; in fact many people got up to thank me for it and thought it was brave putting myself out there since I mentioned personal stuff about PTSD and everything I have endured. It was nice to see that people of like mind appreciated my darker questions which dealt with such a topic where as everyone else was asking more soft questions. Also during my conversation with Rupert I mentioned how I don't find that even the likes of Eckhart Tolle meditating on a park bench for 8 hours does any good; that I would never do that because I believe it's a waste of time and we could be doing things like stopping wars instead. Rupert's response was very interesting he said "Eckhart Tolle doing that is his way of bringing peace to the world; that is his nature and it is in your nature to do what you're doing."

No one has rejected you personally. No one knows you enough to do that. What happens with most men is that they fail to approach women correctly and ruin the 'sale.' You see, men have to prove themselves worthy, not because women are superior, but because they have to screen out thousands of men a year to protect themselves. SO do not look at rejection as personal; even a really good Pick Up Artist WILL get rejected; the difference is, they know how to turn a rejection into an acceptance in some chases. It also seems that your self worth is tied to relationships, and that not having what you desire makes you less of a person. If you loved yourself, would you need anything like this? Of course not. That is not to say that you wouldn't LIKE to share your love with others, but you wouldn't NEED it. There are plenty of people in history who were single and remained so; take for example Mother Theresa, I would have to assume she died a virgin but made great change in the world. Ultimately, focus on yourself and your arts; love is inevitable, but will not happen so long as you are insecure and seeking validation. And if you find love without romance, such as in your works, then you solve your problem as well. So work on yourself. If you're having problems with approaching women and not knowing who courtship works, there are plenty of pick up artist material that will show you what you're getting wrong. -
@DrewNows idk, I had a parrot and it literally went nuts lol. Dolphins have large brains and experience emotions; in fact, can sense them or something.
-
@DrewNows they are acting on some emotion (chemical reaction) which I think is basically the same as ours, but they can't be like "We, I feel like insecure because that monkey is hotter than me"... They just fight lol.
-
@Flatworld Crusades but we do not know that they don't feel something; in fact, it makes more sense that they do. You can see males literally fighting over females; there is some kind of chemistry that drives them to do this; but unlike us, they cannot conceptualize it into an "emotion" like we do.

I would write how you feel and expect nothing. you must respect her wishes, even though they are a sign of an ego-based person who needs attention. The reason I say do it is because you want to do to, but do not be attached to the outcome if it doesn't go in your favor. In your letter you should also include that you respect her wishes and do not expect nor need a response, but wanted to let her know that your door is open when she or if she is ready to reconnected again.

You have to been the mood to watch the vids. If its not a topic I have zero clue about, I won't tune in. If you grasp the basics, I don't think you need any further 'training' but more application. When I went to see Rupert Spira on Saturday night, I didn't learn anything I already didn't know; he just said the same things I've known in a different way. ITs like several people each describing the same tree differently.

IS the sentence "distinctions don't exist" the same as "distinctions do exist"? There are distinctions, but we created them by looking at a 'part' of something that is different from the other' but actually are one movement. So there is the left side of a stick and a right side of a stick, yet its just one stick. -
I don't even have to fully readr you post to answer lol I had an extremely toxic relationship which lasted 3 years.. it was a 'fuck and fight' relationship; the girl looked like a porn star so my ego didn't want to let her go. She served as arm candy to feel good and impress others; of course the sex was great, but we didn' 'love' each other. We did care for each other but love, in the term of full acceptance, we did not. The symptoms you posted above are similar and are all EGO-driven. So the first step is to realize that you didn't actually love each other at all, you loved the idea of what you both COULD have been. You also didn't love yourselves so you BOTH enjoyed the feeling of apparently being loved by someone, but subconsciously it wasn't enough, thus the chaos. The best way to get over such a relationship is realize those things, but practically, remove all contact and reminders of said person...then let time do its job. And more importantly, think about WHY the relationship failed and remember ALL the bad times rather than focusing on the very few good times and the sex or whatever. If its been so many years and you still aren't over it, that is because you have yet to love yourself. There is no work to be done with her. There is no closure to get. In several of my relationships, I didn't get closure, even if I was the one doing the dumping. But for some where it ended on their accord, closure was not needed. Closure, which many people feel they have to get, is on THEM. You don't need another person's permission to get over them and move on. If you must say something to get closure, write a letter and never send it. Read it over and you'll be releasing those things without the need to interfere and interreact with the other person. I used to have full blown convos with my ex when she wasn't there lol, its like gestalt therapy. Even though I was the one who left my toxic ex, I still had to get over it because it was always tempting to call or send a message. After year or so of no contact, I finally gave in to it and we actually ending up hooking up again. But in two weeks it collapsed literally in the same manner it did last time, proving to me once an ex is an ex, best to keep it that way. Once you start to love yourself, you will naturally won't allow it again, for you will not lower your standards to ever been around such toxicity again. After my ex, I learned that I could handle any woman and their insanity. I did finally met my future wife, who was the opposite of my ex, which should me what at true and loving relationship is. None of the things that transpired in my toxic one happened in that one, and now we are married with a beautiful young boy. But it took me YEARS to love myself to actually drop my womanizing ways to settle with my wife, despite her being an amazing woman. So this goes to show also, that if someone doesn't appreciate you, as I didn't fully appreciate my wife at first, there is a lack of love within them, as was in my case.

@Shaun "you" wont come back and even if you did, you would have zero recollection of any past lives and this conversation. for all you know, this life is the 100 trillionth time. don't' worry about death, As Alan Watts said "you cannot experience a nonexperience. " -

Rupert Spira put this in this way: Imagine a body of water; each of us are indivual whirlpools that at one point didn't exist as one, but then came into existence, and eventually will go out of existence; but we were always there, just not in this form. In other words, after your temporal whirlpool self has had its run, you will die and go back to the source which you were before you were born (the body of water). Everyone else that you have witnessed dying has already done thing. They aren't coming back anytime soon and more whirlpools keep spinning on. -

IQ can be useful in some cases, but there are also apparently 9 other forms of intelligence https://examinedexistence.com/the-nine-different-types-of-intelligence/ which of course isn't accepted by some to be true, but we can see this with our own experience. We have run into dumber people who have amazing talents which require some form of intelligence. -
Interesting report. I smoked DMT and I actually met Shiva and Genesh (who I had no clue about) and they showed me something, but I didn't get the feeling I was god (although I know I am) perhaps because I didn't know of nonduality several years ago. Although i didn't get the god feeling, did you get the feeling that everything else was fake except the trip? Like your entire life was a setup and you were meant to trip; and that trip is the only real reality? That you already did this before? That's what I felt during mine, wondering if you did.

Most of the population doesn't even think about the concept of purpose and are enslaved to their jobs for the sake of making money beliving it will make them feel whatever they seek. You decide what your purpose is. Since you may not know it, you seek find it outside of yourself, but that is not where it lies. No one can tell you but you.

@Nahm even without make up? thanks lol. @Leo Gura you're the man. One day, I shall fly to Vegas to do some 5meo with you. That is when you set up 5meo retreats lol.

And yet it exists naturally. Natural doesn't presume good or bad. Cancer is also natural.

All that truly matters it at you do not eat excess calories. Many people obsess with "what is healthy or not" when food is literally calories in vs calories out. There is no such thing as "eating clean", there is however, eating densely nutritious foods vs empty calories...Foods that are considered empty calories (like Doritos) have very little nutritional value and worst of all, are not satiating, which leads to a calorie surplus and all the issues which come from that. You could easily throw down 3 small bags of Doritos but have trouble eating 3 apples, when the apples are LESS calories. That is what densely nutritious means. 3 Dorito bags are about 150 calories x (3 bags) = 450 calories. 3 Apples are about 90 calories x 3 apples = 270 calories. You can eat 100g of sugar a day and not suffer a single health problem SO LONG as your caloric intake does not lead to fat gain. IN other wrods, the unhealthy part of a diet is eating too much. You can go on and see all these so-called natural health gurus telling you cheese is bad, milk is bad, broccoli is bad, meat is bad, coffee is bad, tea is bad, etc. Everyone has their 'camp' and they are all incorrect. None of them have actual verifiable biological proof of any of their claims; most of them who experienced life changing things are due to their change in diet or physical activity. Someone who drops all carbs and lose X amount of fat and feels great did remove any 'bad foods'...all they did was literally reduce their calories by removing the calories that carbs would have accounted for. They then go around saying "see, Keto is the best"...If however, they dropped all carbs but continued to match their previous calories by adding more protein or fat, they would not lose a single pound. Nothing is bad unless it is poisonous. So enjoy whatever foods you want. A good ratio is to eat 80% densely nutrious food, and 20% "junk" IF you feel like it. This helps people avoid binging and forcing themselves to suffer on unsustainable diets.

I believe jealousy 'evolved' in order to secure your mate. If an animal didn't care what its mate was doing, it could wonder off getting pregnant by another partner, and then that animal would have to raise the offspring of another without knowing. Since we have awareness, we can actually notice this emotion more than any animal could and contemplate about it. In your case, you feel that this monkey who now has your gf is a stronger and better looking monkey than you (if you were monkeys). If you had to fight this monkey in the monkey would, he probably would kick your ass and take your monkey gf, and you'd feel like crap. Your emotions are essentially agreeing with your insecurities on a primal level. As humans, we still have our animal instincts and they are designed no different than every other animal which has to compete for a sexual partner; we are just able to feel worse about it because we have a concept of 'self'. So realize that jealousy is a natural emotion, but realize it stems from your animal nature rather than you spiritual nature, and move forward with that.

This is a woman who is literally trying to change the world, and will have to fight an entire establishment to even have the chance. Her followers even know this and one woman asks that very question. Video is raw and bought some tears to my eyes.

I always said the best way to destroy your enemy is to convert them to your cause. There is not one war that was fought in history that wasn't ego-based. However, some wars were just (very rarely). If your peaceful nation is attacked by an aggressor, then I would say fighting back is a just war. The wars of the last century (speaking of America) have been banker's and special interest's wars, from WW1 till now; none of which have benefitted us as citizens and have killed hundreds of millions of people across the world. The wars to end all wars have only solidified the powers of these shadowy structures that run our planet; and these demons realize after being caught lying about the Iraq war, know that selling war to the public now is very difficult so they fund "jihadists" and "rebels" to do their dirty work. I know many here are probably anti-Trump, but I specifically voted for Trump because of his apparent anti-war stance. It is clear as day now that he was either lying or compromised since he has bowed down to every single request of the psychopath Neocons. I am now anti-Trump as any person with integrity should be. I have gone viral calling him out creating a group of activists to hopefully break the MAGA cult spell, but sadly, the powers that be have once against herded people into their assigned tribal groups. I haven't voted since I was 18 since Bush duped me, so Trump was my last hope for a better world, which has failed. Making a 400 billion dollars arms deal with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia killing the Yemeni people with our weapons; bending down to Apartheid, ethnic cleaning state of Israel giving them 38 billion a year to kill unarmed Palestinian protestors and expanding their illegal settlements, bombing Syria with zero proof, threatening Iran (who hasn't attacked a country in 300 years, longer than America has existed) and mingling with Venezula literally deciding who their next 'interm president' is, has shown me that even a billionaire 'outsider' (if he had good intentions at first) has no chance against the establishment, lest they get JFK'd. I think after JKF was killed, everyone realized that if you go against these people, you die. And you can see that candidate Trump is not the same as President Trump. You can notice this trend with almost every president, because presidents don't have any power other than to be puppets. The only one candidate who is literally running on a platform to stop war is Tulsi Gabbard. She's a war veteran who served like myself, and like me, she saw it first hand and wants it all to end. She calls out the players, but sadly, because of this, there is no way she will win. I don't care for any of other policies that I may disagree with, but I look at war as a "trickle down" phenomenon, which literally is the answer to every one of our problems: Why are we 22 trillion in debt; why is there GLOBAL refugee crisis; why are 22 veterans killing themselves per day; why does the media lie...I can keep going. The answer is war. Notice the media is all divisive until the topic is war. Although I don't agree with many of their policies, I think Tuli's and Yang running together could make HUGE positive differences to our country and the world; being that war is my number one voting Issue, I would vote for them rather than anyone else. But I have decided to not even engage in the system any longer; we need a new system anyway. Now I know there is no end to war because the ego-driven people will always out number the so-called enlightened people, so if there is peace now, war will happen in some way shape or form later. And honestly, war and peace is always happening anyway if you think about it and not just look at it from America's perspective, but look at all parts of the world in one picture. But even though I know this inevitability, it is still in my nature to stand up against it. It is not my nature to go sit on a park bench and meditate for 8 hrs while people die across the world, as I mentioned in my conversation with Rupert. Side note: Rupert said there is no such thing as an enlightened being (I agree); that our being is light; that 'awakening' isn't an experience, but rather a revelation; which is why people come to this understanding in many different ways, ranging from mediation, to life changing events, self inquiry or whatever. He said the Buddha and (pick your teacher), were not spectacular people; they were normal like you and I; that they had the same access to that awareness as we do now, but they just got to it whereas many haven't. Rupert teaches the "direct path" which doesn't demand any change in beliefs, meditation practices, etc. although you can incorporate it if you wish). Thanks for all the feedback guys

@Leo Gura got it.
