  1. I pickup on the energy behind your words as saying, "I am dissastisfied." (with something...) Is that right? You've answered your own question (Q: How much is enough? A: 500K). What are you looking for by making this thread? Is it to share the we should value our time more than money? Or perhaps a way to clarify your thoughts by writing them out? 🕉️
  2. I haven't recalled past lives in this lifetime so I don't claim to know the Truth of reincarnation, my acceptance of it has been shaped however by the influence of Paramahansa Yogananda, saints of similar aptitude claiming its reality, the countless NDE experiences expressed on YouTube, and The Big Book of Reincarnation.
  3. Two ways you could approach this: 1. Is it true that the fear was arising without your consent? Reflect on this deeply. What specifically is the fear? What belief or justification could you have that upholds the fear? What are the pros and cons of continuing to allow yourself to uphold the fear? It can seem like a fear arises without your consent, but that's just because it has become an ingrained habit. Even after you recognize the fear as not serving you, it might still arise for a while. This is 'residue'. It will die off if you've truly recognized the fear as not serving you, and you continue to remind yourself of that. P.s. If the fear goes, the stress will go too. So focus on resolving fear. 2. Recognize the silliness that the Ego (thought) thinks it can be the doer. You've asked "What's the solution?" implying there's a problem. But you've mentioned you've realized you're not the doer; You're the observer. If this is what you've realized, then you wouldn't be seeking a solution, because as the observer, you'd just observe the Ego (thought) wanting to become the doer, as a cloud floating by. It's a fart in the wind. So as long as you remain the observer of the silliness of the Ego (thought) trying to claim it is the doer, what is the problem? *** Who's Ego is taking over? Do you need to allow it to take over? Why comply with it? As the observer, why not continue to watch it? Where is the problem then?

  5. Being loyal to a true Guru (not spiritual teacher) can be very effective if you find the right one. If you find the right one and then continue to listen to this person, that person - it can complicate things.
  6. Great effort mate. Been growing YouTube channels for 7+ years and immersed daily in YT culture - From what I can see, you've got the some of the basics down which is great. Creating a different style video (documentary) would give you more data to play with, and now is the perfect time. With that said, documentaries can take 10's of hours to create. @Mike-Clum posted his first documentary video and now has nearly 150k subscribers, 4M views: https://www.youtube.com/@Mike-Clum Tonnes of work put into it but the quality is very obviously there. So I'd say if you do try a documentary, spend a good deal deciding what to do your documentary on, and then make every single second engaging. Go all out. Otherwise, stick to optimizing what you've got, pretty sure I've seen some successful channels doing the style you're doing. I've posted YT videos to Reddit before and get similar results retention-wise. My thinking is that a reddit user is in 'reddit-mode' and so they are quickly going through threads, they aren't in 'sit on the couch mode and watch long-form content' frame of mind. But reddit is still good in early stages for getting your channel exposure, so I'd keep promoting there. Keep it up.

  10. What is one thing you admired about your uncle? ?
  11. Yes. Paramahansa Yogananda speaks on how he wanted to be more plump than skinny and so he would affirm to himself of how he wanted his body. It has an affect. If I were you though, I would pair with the basic actions that lead to weight loss like eating healthy and over-time, begin eating less.
  12. After having discussions about metaphysics and epistemology with a rationalist / materialist who's versed in linguistics, and speaks English as his second language, it has come to my attention that linguistics is important for effective communication. Not so important when we are discussing who's going to the shops to grab potatoes for dinner. Do you agree that linguistics is worth investing time and energy into learning? I'd imagine Leo takes this seriously, given his commitment to doing his best to consider how others will receive his ideas, and what the best way is to communicate them. But I haven't seen this discussed much in the community. Is there any book or video recommendations you have? Cheers!
  13. If I don't accept Jerry as my friend... Does that mean I reject him, so he is NOT my friend... or I neither accept or reject him as my friend, so he is neither my friend NOR not-my-friend?
  14. Love these. Thanks, added to my watch-later list.
  15. @Danioover9000 He respects Sam Hariss and is somewhat in tune although doesn't agree on everything. I'll see how the eggs on toast response goes!
  16. In spite of seeing the message to consider creating a new thread, I never considered this. Now I know, thank you!
  17. @Bobby_2021 So it sounds like when speaking in terms of strict mathematicly-natured stuff, this is true. But in normal human matters, as @zurew is suggesting, agnosticism is a thing.
  18. I think the word I'm looking for is 'neutrality ' or 'agnostic'. What I'm wondering is if that's actually a thing. Can you truly be 'agnostic' about a thing, especially when it comes to debating concepts / ideas. To be agnostic about the existence of Jesus existence for example, is to deny his existence but be open to the possibility of changing your mind to accept his existence. So you are always either 0 or 1. There is no 0.5... right?
  19. @Leo GuraRecently I've been speaking with an enthusiastic materialist and rationalist. What would your response be if they say: "Why would I ingest DMT if there isn't evidence of a repeatable experiment with a clear outcome and time-frame in which the outcome can be attained? This is not rational! This is NONSENSE! I am opening myself up to my mind being manipulated!"
  20. Nice! This is very much appreciated. If you take requests, mine would be: A Critique of Rationalism Quantum Mechanics Debunks Materialism An Introduction to Spiral Dynamics
  21. Many beings like and including Meher Baba sometimes dumb their words down to resonate with a seeker from where they stand. It may appear they are making untruthful statements, buts its only for the benefit of the seeker.
  22. I am yet to discover a being who is Selfless 24/7 who recommends psychedelics.
  23. Have read 4 of his books including God Speaks + spent over a year and a half with a 'God-Man' of his caliber. The real deal. You have struck Gold.
