  1. @leintdav000 The tools you have that you can use for evolution are set in stone. Your intention on how to use those tools is your free will. How much "free will" you have depends on the degree to which you have dissolved your ego. You can "waste" your tools or you can use them to build something of immense beauty. That something would be what/who you are when you die. We have no time to waste.
  2. @Andreas The purpose of life is to evolve. As to why, that is something you need to experience. I came to this experience through many sessions of psychedelics and meditation. The ego is a tool for survival in this realm. It also is a source of suffering, which is fuel for evolution. In this way, you could argue that suffering is "good".
  3. @Salvijus He also thinks psychedelics are harmful and he is obviously confused about that. Its common for mystics to think that only their tradition leads to God. All the traditions contain valuable teachings but the dogma should be avoided. With that said, any kind of power can corrupt if mixed with ego. The goal should not be to get rid of strength but to get rid of ego.
  4. @NoSelfSelf Yoga doesnt teach how to manipulate energy like that unless you learn it directly through a guru. You can find some resources in Taosim, Kabbalah or the Occult (western mysticism). The occult is the most powerful in my opinion but not recommended unless you have made a lot of progress in dissolving the ego. If you go with occult, stick with "high magick", which is for the purpose of evolving the spirit and merging with God, not egoic ends. A good place to start is High Magick by Damien Echols. High magick is very powerful but know why you are pursuing it. As the Gita teaches, it is not what you do but why you do it. Personally, I dont buy into the belief that the physical realm is "bad" or not godly. The physical realm is also God's creation. In our path of evolution, we should learn how to master all realms. Power and strength are not "bad". They are attributes of God that can be reflected in us but if they are not balanced with love, mercy and surrender, the power and strength will lead to corruption of the soul/atman. According to Kabbalah and Hermeticism (Magick), the polarities of love and power need to be balanced and that is where true beauty happens. You can gain strength to enforce the ego or you can gain strength to shine God into the world without need to be exalted.
  5. @SoothedByRain Radically accept that which you cannot change. The death of one thing opens the door to a birth and evolution of another.
  6. @OrpheusNovum Get rid of ALL negativity in your life. If that includes family, so be it.
  7. Yes, ketamine is a powerful tool for spiritual work but it shouldnt be mentioned without mentioning its potential for serious addiction which can cause irreversible bladder damage. The therapeutic dose for using ketamine to treat depression is 100-150 mg once a week. Studies have showed that amount is safe but exceeding that can be dangerous.
  8. @FreeThoughtFlow I think the video length is perfect. Maybe you need to find different sources of information that suites your unique needs.
  9. @tsuki Another way of saying, "you took the drug and now its valid" is "you had a direct experience and now you know the knowledge is valid".
  10. @billiesimon read the highlighted words and ask yourself why you have formed an opinion.
  11. @Scholar That is not my experience. Not sure why this assumption was made. Those are unsubstantiated assumptions. If 2 people meditate 2 hours per day and one of them does psychedelics, the one taking psychedelics is going to leave the other one in the dust. That is my direct experience and I will follow direct experience wisdom over assumptions, even if they come from enlightened people that are confused on the subject.
  12. @Highest If they contradict direct experience, than obviously they are wrong.
  13. @Scholar My direct experience is that nothing comes close to the spiritual awakening that psychedelics provide. The people that disagree are usually people that have had little experience with psychedelics, or dont use them, and want to believe that they are not missing anything. If all gurus had correct beliefs all the time, they would all agree on everything. Obviously, for this reason, its obvious being a "guru" doesnt make you right about everything. If a guru says something that contradicts direct experience, the guru is wrong. Direct experience illuminates the truth.
  14. @UpperClassWhiteBoy The purpose of life is to evolve.
  15. If someone literally ate nothing, dont you think they would eventually waste away to nothing? Obviously, the problem is too many calories. If caloric intake exceeds what one burns, they gain weight. If they burn more calories than they take in, they lose weight. There are no exceptions to this rule. Anyone that disagrees with this, I would challenge them to eat nothing or next to nothing and see if they lose weight. I used to think that there was no way I could lose weight....until I started counting calories.
  16. @howdoistopobsessing There are people in the world that work their assess off just so they dont starve to death. The point of life is to evolve and to lean to just be. What point do you think life is supposed to have? Feeling like you want to die just for getting a job is definitely a modern, Western phenomenon. Dont you want to evolve past that?
  17. If your motivation comes from the ego, meditation will diminish motivation since it dissolves the ego. Buddhists have a term call "right action". That means doing things that should be done for the optimal flow of life regardless of how one "feels".
  18. Go date some other girls you find interesting. You will naturally treat your ex in a way that she will find more desirable. Women dont like men that like them too much or are too available. They want the men that other women want. Whether is right or wrong, thats the way it is.
  19. There is a lot one can benefit from challenging psychedelics experiences. What exactly is challenging? It is a chance to be shown ones attachments and aversions. Once identified, one can work on releasing/letting go/accepting.
  20. @OmniYoga In my life, I found it goes like this: 1. work on dissolving the ego 2. Once progress has been made to dissolve the ego, cultivate radical acceptance, which untangles attachments and aversions. 3. After acceptance, surrender to movement from the Source. 4. Surrender to the movement of the Source. Your actions will become what Buddhists call "right action". The Bhagavad Gita says that we should perform correct action but be unattached from the fruits of the action. While you may be completely unattached to the outcome of your actions, the actions could appear even aggressive-like to an outsider. Surrendering is not the same as passivity.
  21. @Yoshy Sounds like a typical point of view from someone that doesnt have much experience with psychedelics. If you had more experience, you would know why
  22. @onecirrus With complete acceptance, trust and surrender, my ideal life is whatever the source moves "me" to do. I have given up my idea of what I want out of life and it is like a huge weight was lifted from me.
  23. @MM1988 Thats very true. Far more people have died from heart failure due to exercise than psychedelics. Not sure why you are arguing against psychedelics though
  24. I think you thought I posted words that were put up by the original poster. I am a proponent of psychedelics.
  25. I exercise 4x a week. With cardio, I get my heart rate up to 150-160. Do you feel exercise is dangerous too?
