  1. @Anton_Pierre Some people dont believe everything someone says just because they claim to be a "guru". He's not my guru. Besides, his abilities are not that unusual if you are familiar with the occult. Sadhguru just doesnt tell his secrets to his followers because if his followers gained the same powers, they would see that they dont need him the way he wants to be needed.
  2. My thoughts exactly....
  3. Thats like saying, "If you think you are going to get liberated using meditation, best of luck." Does that make sense to you? Both meditation AND psychedelics have been important tools to my liberation.
  4. You could just as easily say he can turn into a unicorn at will. Regarding his legit powers, his spiritual powers can be easily reproduced by many occultist. I would resist thinking he is something above what others can do.
  5. @Devansh Saharan It should be noted that Sadguru has never done psychedelics. Those are good guesses by him but how would he know? Dont assume that just because someone is enlightened that they no longer have false beliefs. If that wasnt true then all enlightened people would agree on everything. He also strongly condemns occult type powers yet he admits to his followers that he uses them. http://shalomplace.org/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/19110765/m/286304744 - "Sadhguru told a group of us that, years ago, while he was working vigorously to build his temple in India, he ‘called on’ various souls with specific energies to come into human form for the sake of assisting him with his mammoth project. I’ll never forget his words, nearly verbatim: “After all, you are playing with the very energies of creation. You must approach this with reverence.” This above act is the same process of Tibetan monks creating Tulpas or how people create servitors with witchcraft or chaos magick. Be careful of following anyone blindly, no matter who they are. That is a spiritual weakness.
  6. Actually, a lot of those experiments are reproducible - http://deanradin.com/evidence/evidence.htm
  7. @FrankTheTank Verification is your responsibility. A lot of people say a lot of things. If you dont develop the ability to discern the truth on your own, it will bring confusion. Siddhis can definitely develop with concentration and purification. Recently, I projected my consciousness into my fiances bedroom and wispered "hi" into her ear to see what would happen. I didnt tell her and the next day, she told me she sensed me in her room and heard me say hi into her ear "as clear as day". How would I prove that? It was proven to myself and that is all that matters. Once your ego is dissolved, why would you care what others believe? I have also had knowledge of traumatic experiences some people have had in their lives without them telling anyone (usually childhood rape/molestation). I received the information with instructions to tell them along with how they can free themselves of their burden. I dont know exactly where this information comes from but I associate it to what I call my spirit guide, who has been talking to me for the last 3 years. I should disclose that I have meditated every day for several years and have gone through a lot of purification. Nobody is going to be able to do much if their ego is still in control or have not developed their powers of concentration. Also, my fiance is a natural clairvoyant, which I am sure increased her ability to "hear" me. Warning: If someone seeks to develop "powers" without purification, they are asking for trouble.
  8. @Leo Gura This is my experience also. I can use the exact same substance and the exact same dosage as what I might have done six to twelve months ago and get very difference experiences. For me, I think it is the purification process that correlates to the changing experience.
  9. @theking00 When you fully accept the death of "I", you'll be on the other side. Its about complete acceptance.
  10. @Leo Gura or my other guess would be salvia since you mentioned it isnt scheduled.
  11. @Leo Gura Ibogaine?
  12. I remembered lots of DMT experiences. The first time I smoked DMT three years ago radically changed my life forever. Didnt meditate before DMT. After DMT, I have meditated every day since. You can judge the tree by the fruit on it. If a tree has only good fruit, how can someone say its "bad"?
  13. No, thats not really an accurate assessment. The more powerful the psychedelic, the more insights. When inundated with insights, sometimes the lesser ones are remembered less but that is just because there are so many.
  14. @electroBeam No, that is not true in the least. I have had trips that permanently and radically changed me. Ive seen you post multiple posts trying to say that psychedelics are not useful, even though you admit you have no experience. Dont take them if you dont want to but understand you have no clue about what you are talking about. You seem to have some attachment to your argument and trying to convince other people.
  15. @Wekz Do not give in to any temptation to deny the reality of it and repress it. Go talk to a professional.
  16. @Yannik The real question should be about spiritual purification. Some of the most enlightened beings in India smoked a lot of cigarettes. With that in mind, maybe you should search for what real internal purification really is.
  17. @BMKemp Sounds like a good place to start is to get a job...any job. If you require a job that you "like", just remember there are millions of people in this world that just want ANY job. If you are not willing to take just "any" job, the problem is with your thinking. Nobody is going to feel good about themselves when they are mooching off other peoples hard work. If you are trying to find out how to live life while not working for your own food and shelter, you are going to be disappointed. You dont need people babying you anymore...you need some tough love and it sounds like you are not getting it.
  18. @Western Buddha That happened to a buddy of mine when we were younger. He just laughed it off. Whether it is a problem or not is up to you.
  19. @traveler You can judge the tree by the fruit on it. A good tree bears good fruit; a bad tree bares bad fruit. The fruit: many allegations of sexual improprieties and manipulation. Actions reveal the character of the actor. Defending someone's selfish and hurtful actions in the name of spirituality just perpetuates the problem. It validates predators and just helps bring more victims to them. A true spiritual mentor can do better than that.
  20. @ColdFacts Thats a nice theory but does not match direct experience of psychedelics. I assume you havent had much experience with psychedelics.
  21. @Aldo DO NOT USE DATURA!!! Very dangerous. There are plenty of extremely powerful, very safe options.
  22. @Beeman Is there anything that exists outside your direct experience? How do you know?
  23. @DrewNows Shadows can develop by denying, repressing or not accepting the reality of past pains. 1. Acknowledge the complete truth of the pain. Let yourself feel the emotions. When this happens, you can identify the source of the shadows. 2. Accept the reality of the past. This includes forgiveness. 3. Once you acknowledge and accept, you can finally let go. 4. The shadow's influence will be gone.
  24. @Beard Here is a great excerpt from the Kybalion in the chapter of "The Divine Paradox": "This is the Paradox of the Universe, resulting from the Principle of Polarity which manifests when THE ALL begins to Create—hearken to it for it points the difference between half-wisdom and wisdom. While to THE INFINITE ALL, the Universe, its Laws, its Powers, its life, its Phenomena, are as things witnessed in the state of Meditation or Dream; yet to all that is Finite, the Universe must be treated as Real, and life, and action, and thought, must be based thereupon, accordingly, although with an ever understanding of the Higher Truth. Each according to its own Plane and Laws. Were THE ALL to imagine that the Universe were indeed Reality, then woe to the Universe, for there would be then no escape from lower to higher, divineward—then would the Universe become a fixity and progress would become impossible. And if Man, owing to half-wisdom, acts and lives and thinks of the Universe as merely a dream (akin to his own finite dreams) then indeed does it so become for him, and like a sleep-walker he stumbles ever around and around in a circle, making no progress, and being forced into an awakening at last by his falling bruised and bleeding over the Natural Laws which he ignored. Keep your mind ever on the Star, but let your eyes watch over your footsteps, lest you fall into the mire by reason of your upward gaze. Remember the Divine Paradox, that while the Universe IS NOT, still IT IS. Remember ever the Two Poles of Truth the Absolute and the Relative. Beware of Half-Truths. What Hermetists know as “the Law of Paradox” is an aspect of the Principle of Polarity. The Hermetic writings are filled with references to the appearance of the Paradox in the consideration of the problems of Life and Being. The Teachers are constantly warning their students against the error of omitting the “other side” of any question. And their warnings are particularly directed to the problems of the Absolute and the Relative, which perplex all students of philosophy, and which cause so many to think and act contrary to what is generally known as “common sense.” And we caution all students to be sure to grasp the Divine Paradox of the Absolute and Relative, lest they become entangled in the mire of the Half-Truth. With this in view this particular lesson has been written. Read it carefully! The first thought that comes to the thinking man after he realizes the truth that the Universe is a Mental Creation of THE ALL, is that the Universe and all that it contains is a mere illusion; an unreality; against which idea his instincts revolt. But this, like all other great truths, must be considered both from the Absolute and the Relative points of view. From the Absolute viewpoint, of course, the Universe is in the nature of an illusion, a dream, a phantasmagoria, as compared to THE ALL in itself. We recognize this even in our ordinary view, for we speak of the world as “a fleeting show” that comes and goes, is born and dies—for the element of impermanence and change, finiteness and unsubstantiality, must ever be connected with the idea of a created Universe when it is contrasted with the idea of THE ALL, no matter what may be our beliefs concerning the nature of both. Philosopher, metaphysician, scientist and theologian all agree upon this idea, and the thought is found in all forms of philosophical thought and religious conceptions, as well as in the theories of the respective schools of metaphysics and theology. So, the Hermetic Teachings do not preach the unsubstantiality of the Universe in any stronger terms than those more familiar to you, although their presentation of the subject may seem somewhat more startling. Anything that has a beginning and an ending must be, in a sense, unreal and untrue, and the Universe comes under the rule, in all schools of thought. From the Absolute point of view, there is nothing Real except THE ALL, no matter what terms we may use in thinking of, or discussing the subject. Whether the Universe be created of Matter, or whether it be a Mental Creation in the Mind of THE ALL—it is unsubstantial, non-enduring, a thing of time, space and change. We want you to realize this fact thoroughly, before you pass judgment on the Hermetic conception of the Mental nature of the Universe. Think over any and all of the other conceptions, and see whether this be not true of them. But the Absolute point of view shows merely one side of the picture—the other side is the Relative one. Absolute Truth has been defined as “Things as the mind of God knows them,” while Relative Truth is “Things as the highest reason of Man understands them.” And so while to THE ALL the Universe must be unreal and illusionary, a mere dream or result of meditation,—nevertheless, to the finite minds forming a part of that Universe, and viewing it through mortal faculties, the Universe is very real indeed, and must be so considered. In recognizing the Absolute view, we must not make the mistake of ignoring or denying the facts and phenomena of the Universe as they present themselves to our mortal faculties—we are not THE ALL, remember."
  25. @AudibleLocket You can judge the tree by the fruit on it. If it brings you enjoyment and you dont see any negative effects, how can someone say it is "bad" other than just bias? If you are consuming during times when you should be doing something else or consuming too often, then it might be an issue. Ive been smoking every evening after dinner for years and I spend that time contemplating my business, personal and spiritual life. Its been very good for my evolution personally.
