In my opinion, Jordan Peterson is one of the greatest intellectuals of all time; if not the greatest one. I'm following him since 2018. Jordan Peterson never ceases to amaze me when I see the way he speaks to people. His speeches are so coherent that it makes me hard to believe a human being can be so articulate. He's very concise when he formulates sentences. Jordan was asked about his remarkable speaking skills and pointed out that he trained himself for tens of thousands of hours to surpass anyone. And so he did. His book is the best seller in the entire world because it's very easy to read and it offers massive value. When I think about the future, nobody will surpass Jordan Peterson when it comes to articulating understanding. For those who still don't understand why Jordan Peterson is so successful, I'm spoiling the surprise for you: no other person can match him when it comes to articulating understanding. Without a shadow of a doubt, nobody can beat Jordan Peterson intellectually. And I'm not saying that the purpose of life is to be the best intellectual ever, but when it comes to succces, intelectuality matters a lot. And I'm a proud fan of Jordan.

The heavens belong to the LORD, but He has given the earth to all humanity. (Psalm 115:16)

Just because your mind says so doesn't make it true. Watch your self-bias, @Leo Gura. You are human. By comparison and abilities, you are actually more important than a virus. Even when you fully know and understand God, humans are fundamentally more important than anything else. Let God take care of itself.

Society is built by people who have something to offer. People like @Leo Gura have something to offer. And of course, the nuclear family which is extremely important.

Society doesn't have to offer people free stuff. The purpose of a society is to offer people infrastructure and equality of opportunity to better themselves. When you offer people free stuff they get complacent and stop working to better themselves. People don't yearn to be free, they yearn to be taken care of. That's not good! Realize that. Nature doesn't offer you security. Nor stability. That's why you have to struggle for security and stability. In my case, I was raised in a dysfunctional family. My dad was an alcoholic. A really bad one. I was beaten harshly every day. My mother was depressed and extremely cold with us, myself and my brother. I didn't have any kind of emotional support. I grew up poor, eating bread and potatoes most of the time. I was twice a repeater. At 24 years old I became depressed and I knew that I have to work hard to get out of the misery I was in. I didn't blame anyone; neither society. I understood that I have to take full responsibility for my own life. I remained grateful for how good things were and still are. I still have my own problems but I do my best to fix them and become a better person every day. In a country like the USA, most people have access to food stamps. If you live in the USA, you can think of yourself as lucky. In my country (Romania) the minimum wage is $300. If you get a good job, you earn $500. It's not society's fault if you are born into a dysfunctional family.

Goodness exists in the form of self-love which means that human life is sacred. Otherwise, human life wouldn't be possible. People like Stalin and Hitler had no regard for human life. Then look at what happened. Unimaginable suffering. The most important question we can ask is, how do we make people good?

We can't just say "we shouldn't be worried about falling birth rates". We can't stay passive about what's happening. We can't go on with our lives and do nothing about it. At the same time some things are not in our control but we can try to influence people. If we look at human history, there are major problems. Wars, disease, instability, torture and so forth. I can't stay calm when a collapsing society lurks behind. I'm not OK with the thought that I'll be fine in this lifetime and I don't care what's gonna be happening next. All problems stem from ignorance and people still choose to be ignorant.

Hello. I've been reading a great book entitled How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie. The author mentioned that those who can express their ideas freely in a clear-concise manner will earn more money than even the best engineers in the world today. The author even said that people who can talk easily are fancied among people. I tend to agree with the author because I've seen that myself. I would like to know a few tips on articulating understanding other than reading and writing. I always try to speak in front of a camera without any script, just for the sake of developing this ability. It's not that easy. The progress is very slow. Maybe @Leo Gura has some tips to share with us; a few spontaneous ideas about expressing yourself in a clear manner.

Hello, folks! Who knows what sex is? Who knows what "relationships" mean? Have you ever contemplated these terms and tried to understand what they really are? We talk about sex and relationships without even knowing at a deep level what they are. We have sex because we feel like it but we don't really understand what it is. We just think about having sex without having an insight into it. I have a colleague at work; she's hitting on me all the time. Maybe she wants something from me, I don't know. Why is she doing this? Does she understand what a relationship really is? Why aren't people questioning these concepts? As I'm contemplating these terms, I find them bizarre. Am I the only one here who feels like this?

Thank you! Could you please give me the book in a .PDF format? Do you have that book in a .PDF format? I would like to read it as soon as possible. On the other hand, when I struggle to memorize something, I do it by force. I keep studying anyway, despite the fact that I can't concentrate well. It's so hard man. I can't even describe it. I feel like my head is exploding. Sometimes I get headaches. I also have a low fever when I force myself to study. It's an inner feeling of profound resistance. People who don't have ADHD have no idea what I'm talking about. It's not that it's hard to study. I believe it is. But when you have ADHD, it's almost impossible. So as we have ADHD, how can we become as good as @Leo Gura when it comes to articulating understanding? I keep asking myself when I'll be able to be as good as Leo on articulating understanding? I have a profound wish to become good at articulating understanding and as I'm working hard to achieve it, when I try to talk in front of a camera, I get a feeling of discouragement. It feels like I've achieved nothing, despite my 10x effort. People don't understand what it feels like to have ADHD. They think we are lazy. But in fact, we work 10 times harder than people without ADHD. The problem is that when we try to articulate our work and understanding, we feel blocked. How can we achieve success while having ADHD? It's almost impossible. Sometimes I want to shoot myself. For real. I have an insight into ADHD. All people that have ADHD grew up in extremely stressful environments. As a result, the limbic system and the amygdala, these parts of the brain developed much faster and the prefrontal cortex did not develop well. That's why we can not think and write well. What bothers me is that people keep accusing me of laziness. I'm not. I just want to be successful, that's all. I care about success but not for myself. I just want to have a life purpose and become a better person in order to help others. Have you ever been in my position?

Don't. You are really beautiful.

Hello. Sometimes I'm frightened when I think about eternity. Why is consciousness a good thing? Why should we perceive reality as a good thing? When we look at the past, we see too much suffering. The human condition is so tragic that even Jesus Christ lost faith in God for a second when He was crucified. I don't know... Reality confuses me.

Hello. Leo should make a video about ADHD. Not just from a point of view, but from many POV. I highly encourage Leo to study the work of Dr. Gabor Mate on ADHD.

The Don replied to Adilbek's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Christians often say: "Have faith in God and your fears will be gone!". Well, even if I believe in God, the tragedy of existence can't be solved. If I become an Atheist, nothing changes. Reality itself remains a tragedy. With or without God, nothing helps. -
The Don replied to Adilbek's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Even if there is a God, life itself is depressing. Reality is making me depressed. Eternity makes me depressed. I can't grasp the concept of reality. I can't grasp the fact that I'm a human being. When I see everything around me, I almost lose my mind. What's the point of existence? I'm asking these questions not because I'm against God. With or without a God, everything makes me depressed because I can't fathom the concept of existence. -
But Leo(!), the brain exists as imagination so it's real; it doesn't matter how it exists. It doesn't matter if "the brain" is imagined. Imagined or not, there is a brain... as imagination or not.

Why are you saying this, @Leo Gura? Are you saying it because most people are in a constant state of suffering that's hard to be tolerated without the use of alcohol?

Hello! I quote from @Leo Gura's blog post: "BTW, my skill set is articulating understanding. Not to brag, but I'm really, really good at it. Which is why you watch my videos. How did I get so good? I practiced it in my mind for 20+ years. Why did I do that? Because I love it." I got into personal development because of a midlife crisis. I was unhappy with myself and I became really depressed. Then I found Leo's videos on YouTube. He convinced me to follow him through the way he was talking. I truly valued the way he was articulating his thoughts. That was the primary quality I admired in Leo. Being articulate is a powerful skill that I love. I wanna have it. What is the process of developing such a skill? Should I read more books? Studying? Writing? Jordan Peterson said that writing is the foundation of becoming a better spokesman. I would like some advice regarding this topic and what steps are important to develop this skill.

This is scaring me. -
Hi. I have the same problem. I can't sleep well at night. I wake up 3 to 4 times a night for no reason at all. I think we should work on our past trauma and use some medicines like Indica Kush or something.

Hello. For those out there who study the topic of happiness, I have something for you. It's something that has the potential to transform your entire life. It's not something that has to be believed. It's something established. It's something proven. And nonetheless, it's a scientific fact. Here we go: GRATITUDE is what makes people happy. There is also scientific proof in case you're looking for it. Another example, here. Bear in mind that nothing happens overnight. It takes time to embody a concept. If you have a journal, write down right after you wake up three things you're grateful for. There could be many examples but think about three things that have sustained you in life. This allows you to start every morning in a state of positivity which is the key to living a good & healthy life. Write in your journal every day a few things that you're grateful for. This has to be a daily habit in order to take effect. It's simple, it costs nothing and works.

Hello. I've watched @Leo Gura's video about reproduction, particularly human reproduction. I thought about his ideas for a while and I came to the conclusion that biological reproduction matters and it's indispensable if we want humanity to continue and have a prosperous future. If you don't consider biological reproduction to be the foundation of humanity, you lack wisdom in some sense (not trying to put anyone down here) because all the goods you use today: infrastructure, technology, medical care and so forth, are made by humans. At this moment, in the Western World, people don't have enough kids; not even to replace themselves. In fact, that's true all over the world with the exception of Africa and Israel. The infrastructure we have today requires human labor to be maintained. The future of technology requires scientists in order for the progress to continue and if we don't have enough kids, nobody will advance our technological progress. We take everything for granted in the sense that we believe that "we're too many on this planet" and a population implosion would be good for all of us. That's false. In fact, I used to belive the same thing until I started to do some research about the latest statistics on birth rates and what humanity is doing in terms of biological reproduction. When I finally understood what happened, I was kind of shocked. There's nothing wrong with having a family and 3-4 kids. Remember the age of the Baby-Boomers. Since then, humanity took rampant progress in every aspect of life. Biological reproduction is good for all of us. There is a book on Amazon which is called Empty Planet: The Shock of Global Population Decline. A catastrophe is coming. Don't buy into the idea that we're gonna be too many. People just don't have enough kids and we have to do something about it.

Hello. Trump is not going to be removed from office. This impeachment charade is just a show. As I've said before, Trump is going to win the 2020 election in a landslide. I'm not going to argue why because it's just a fricking fact. Our society is not ready yet to deal with its problems in a realistic way. Progress happens slowly and over time. Our system is immature and I'm not blaming the system. Why? Because our system only reflects the level of human consciousness at this very moment. We shouldn't force change because forcing things makes us neurotic. We just need to let reality unfold as it should. People don't know how to take care of themselves. We fail to raise healthy children. A huge percent of the population is highly traumatized because humanity (us humans) failed to learn and understand the needs of an infant: attachment, authenticity, and compassion. Without those things, an infant cannot develop properly. Trump was bullied by his father since he was a little kid. Why do you think he acts the way he does? Because his father was remarkably cold as a person and extremely harsh on him. Trump is a highly-traumatized human being. Here's an excerpt from Dr. Gabor Mate's analysis of President Trump: According to biographers, Trump’s father was workaholic, ruthless, emotionally cold and authoritarian, a man who believed that life is a competition where the “killers” win. Donald’s elder brother drove himself into alcoholism, a common escape from pain, and to an early death. The younger, favored child is now self-destructing on the world stage. If you want to read the whole article, click here. Trump is only a reflection of how numerous people are these days: selfish, cold, pitiless, obsessed with attention, narcissists and so forth. It shouldn't be a surprise. It should be a revelation. #MakeAmericaGreatAgain

Hello there. Keep the baby. Dedicate a small part of your life in raising the baby. Having a family is great.
