This gives me major "If I make a topic about it, maybe I can convince myself it's true" vibes -
Kamala is a perfect foil for this guy, she's perfectly exposed him as a complete loon. Well he does it on his own, but still. Better performance from her than I expected.

Elon Musk is a token eccentric, money worshipping, self-aggrandizing billionaire. He's definitely more annoying and obnoxious than other billionaires, quite petty and sensitive as well. But a con artist he is not. Trump, on the other hand, just reeks of being a felonious grifter. Anyone with a shred of common sense could see through his baloney. His only interests are his own selfish gain.

Walz is a good pick. Charismatic, yet plain midwestern man that Republicans are going to have a very difficult time attacking effectively, just like they have so far with Kamala. -
He's almost 80 and out of shape. It's amazing he can even (somewhat) hold it together for 90 minute ramblings.

I really wonder what the future of the Republican party holds post-Trump. His VP pick Vance is just as socially awkward and out of touch as DeSantis. No one has proven that they can out-Trump Trump and reach his level of moxie and charisma. Aside from him who is unapologetically himself, Republicans leaders just come across as off-putting, delusional, and weird. -
Man, these billionaires have no shame. Trump has crapped on Musk how many times? Musk re-enabled Trump's Twitter account hoping that he would post again and Trump gave him the finger.

Sorry, but no. I'll take the criminal prosecutor over the felon on the smarts scale. Don't confuse charm with intelligence. -

Trump had the second most votes for a presidential candidate ever, problem for him is Biden had the most. Honestly, if a once in 100 years pandemic didn't happen during an election year, and Trump's horrible response to it and the civil unrest that followed the George Floyd murder, he would have been re-elected. But people have terrible memories and absence makes the heart grow fonder. We saw Biden decline in mental acuity during his presidency and Trump seemed like a stronger option in comparison, and he was well aware of that. Now he's going against someone much younger and mentally sharper than he is, so let's see how he reacts. -

Does the devil ramble incoherently and at one point refer to Obama as being the current president? Definitely not as mentally sharp as he was 4, 8 years ago. He was always an impulsive manchild but now he's just an old, borderline senile manchild. -

Now suddenly, Trump is looking like the old and senile one in this race. Props to Joe for being a good leader doing the right thing. Doesn't seem like Trump is so gung-ho on debating Kamala as he was the older man. -
With how fast and hard Twitter is tanking in just two weeks after his ownership, a part of me wonders if it was his intention all along to destroy Twitter. Because the smart move would have been to just sit back and change nothing.

Being an idiot attempting to overthrow democracy is one thing and should end in a prison sentence in any halfway sane country. But stealing classified documents about weapons that can cause the end of the world? Should be a death sentence. But it won't. The cult will be allowed to continue to attempt to destroy the world.

A revolution is at foot. That is, if the fat, lazy Americans will actually do something about their power being continuously stripped by this fascist coup.

Sure about that chief? The 2021 winter storm crippled its power grid and damn near made it a failed state, all because of its deregulated energy.

70% of the GDP comes from democratic counties. Red states like Wyoming and the Dakotas really contribute fuck all in the big picture but oppress the country through the senate. It's egregious, it's anti-democratic, it's stupid. If Republicans win the house, senate, and WH, then expect a nation-wide abortion ban in 5 years. Will people actually revolt and fight a civil war? What about when gay marriage is banned as well?

Empty land doesn't vote. Absolutely ridiculous that South Dakota and North Dakota have the same power as California and New York.
-
Ron Desastrous has the charm of stale bread. Unlike charismatic Trump, I can't really see moderates getting mobilized to vote for him, but who knows.

America is broken and officially moving backwards. Very rare do you see that in a developed nation but here we are. 9 justices who don't get voted in, 1/3rd of which were appointed by a twice impeached president who also lost the popular vote twice, have all the power to reverse our course. Democracy is so dead.

New Mexico is Hispanic majority, particularly Mexican. Mexican Americans tend to vote Democrat.

US is a third world hellhole masquerading as a developed country as far as I'm concerned. I know it's not really, but dammit if it hasn't been trending that way since the 90s. -
America's birth rates have been declining. Conservatives want more white babies to be born. They don't want the brown folk coming in and overtaking the white patriarchy.
-
Conservatives are anti-freedom, anti-democracy, anti-civil liberties. Conservatives ARE fascists, especially when they back people like Trump.
-
The sad part is that this isn't shocking. We all knew it was getting to this point. Pretty soon they're going to allow states to outlaw interracial marriage and ban contraceptives.

Forced birth in a country with the highest maternal mortality rate, no universal subsidized childcare, no paid maternity leave, no continued birth parent care, and frequently inaccessible mental health care. Good job America ?
