Absolutely not. Only an ego does so. To learn about oneself doesn’t imply that at all. Just got to see the futility in depending on another psychologically. -

Don’t get me wrong. It’s a great art to listen without bias/prejudice But to depend on an authority psychologically, prevents self learning and wisdom. -

Indeed. @Saumaya -

To learn about yourself through another’s understanding is to understand there point of view about yourself. -

@Anna1 Can you teach me about me?? Or does this have to be a first hand seeing and understanding? -
Faceless replied to MarkusSweden's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Self knowledge/wisdom cannot be taught. This is something that must be explored in oneself, without any form of personal or collective authority. If one is pointing to that as a necessity that is a great sharing indeed. -

The question is can anyone teach another this? Or is this something that one must figure out for themselves? For me I am constantly pointing towards self reflection, to understand ourselves. I simply write to invoke interest in understanding thought/self. I am not a teacher. Authority to me is very destructive when it comes to liberation and timelessness. -

Only an ego wants to kill and ego. Ego clings to belief. Where there is the movement of belief there is fear. And if there is fear, awareness is not. To believe in awareness and to embody awareness is quite different. This is where maintaining a religious awareness of the conditioned “i” comes in and brings about communion with the dynamic now. Conciousness empty of the stream of time. -
As my good friend @Shanmugam put it, to get back to that mysteriousness. ”THE UNKNOWN” This is an art indeed.

It’s much better to simply let go of “enlightenment, non duality”, and to just understand duality in oneself. How it cycles with its very subtle movement. How it determines the way one lives, in relationship with “themselves, others” environment. To be in harmony without the movement of duality acting as a divisive barrier in relationship. And to simply have the capacity to observe without the seperate observer “experience” acting as a veil to what is. Consciousness empty of its conditioned movement/content.

Thoughts and feelings arise out the movement of thought. How do you switch off (break the cycle)?

This is an unpremeditated art -

I see why one wouldn’t assume so, but that is a movement of thought. One must understand and be aware of all movement of thought/volition. There can be no concentration what so ever. I think it can be very difficult for people who are use to concentration type meditation(As the meditator) -
Faceless replied to B_Naz's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Solace yeah It can difficult. From what I have noticed, most don’t know when they are doing something. They are not aware of there own subtle form of time in movement. To do nothing, focus, concentration, and all that movement of thought is to ceases to move. And most attempt to (do nothing) but are still focusing and concentrating, therefore not doing nothing. -

@B_Naz Best thing to understand is that we must start closer to home. I mean don’t ever go beyond where one has not yet began. Learn about the nature of thought/self. That way you can avoid getting caught in self deception, (identification with ideas) The only way to end thought is to understand its whole movement and maintain religious awareness of that understanding. In that understanding and awareness makes for the cessation of experience acting as a barrier between the conditioned mind and nothingness. The art of living? -

I’m meeting you. Except I think here there would be no thought (memory, knowledge, experience) There would be only awareness. But I think we are talking of the same thing. Actually it’s quite nice to meet with another without having to have a series of discussions. Thank you?? -

Well there is not a controller. It is an illusion. But it was an illusion that we think is true. So we act in accordance to that belief. It’s an illusion, but a fact as well. Even people who realize it’s an illusion in most cases still act dualistically. This is why embodiment is the most difficult part. Yeah making conclusions is a movement of thought. You will see as you continue your journey. If you are going to continue with do nothing then learning the nature, structure, and processes of thought/self is fundamental. And yes do nothing is the only way to end the movement of time/thought. Because it implies no postive action “will/volition/dualistic movement. I just realized what people meant by do nothing meditation about a month ago. Although I been doing the same thing for a while now. I just didn’t have a name for it. -
Faceless replied to B_Naz's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Not to move dualistically. Thoughts don’t arise out of nowhere. They arise out of the response to memory in reaction to dynamic circumstances or “the now” Those responses are all movements of the past (memory) -
Faceless replied to B_Naz's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Yeah, controle implies a controller. When all the movement of the “controller” ends. That implies the movement of duality/division has ended. And when that ends actually, there is awareness. That duality “conditioned consciousness” is what makes unconsciousness. Don’t come to the conclusion that thought does not end or does. Keep exploring the nature of thought “conditioned conciousness” Which means to understand the nature of experience in relation to thought. And in that is where the old ceases to act as a barrier to the new dynamic now. -

To control thought is a movement of thought. Your thinking to much about thoughts. Where do thoughts arise? Out of the movement of thought right? (Reponse to Memory) The you that wants to end duality is a dualistic movement. Duality can end, but not by any positive movement of duality. To stop the movement of thought is a movement of thought (will/volition/ego) Any movement of duality further nourishes dualistic movement. The negation of all positive action (will/volition) is the ending of duality. -

INDEED?? There’s perception, contact, sensation, then thought comes in “Knowledge, Experience, Memory”, then there is identification “the i” that identifies the above sensations. In this we have the movement of desire, pleasure which inevitably breeds fear. Desire, (time) for the most part the origin of the “i”... BUT WITHOUT THE MOVEMENT OF THOUGHT THERE IS NO IDENTIFICATION. THOUGHT BEING THE ORGIN OF FEAR/EGO. Did I roll this out correctly to you @who chit? -
Faceless replied to Why?'s topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Indeed.....And what is the root cause fear??? And ego-mind @Leo Gura? Couldn't we say the ego is fear itself? And fear/ego are a manifestation thought? -
Faceless replied to the_end_of_me's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
It would take a series of memories to identify as an entity “i” if you had no capacity to remeber there would be no identification, would there? Knowledge, experience, through memory responds as a movement of thought/the thinker/The Who. See that deep in “your” bones?
