  1. Lol ah mr Joseph The self is it’s conditioning right? you don’t have to believe that. It is so. A fact. Look at the self. Your own conditioned movement.
  2. If the conditioned mind (self) does not exist, why do we continually act in accordance to that illusion?
  3. not talking theoretically here. What I am referring here to mind(consciousness) is all movement of the self.
  4. The conditioned consciousness (conditioned mind) is thought. The self with all its conditioned movement.
  5. Then why do we proceed in moving dualistically and act according to that divisive movement of self/conditioned mind/thought. Why all this cultivation of mind/thought/time if we see it doesn’t exist?
  6. The kundalini experience or “illumination”.... Many assume that illumination can be cultivated. But this implies dualistic movement as the i. Illumination is suppose to be a cessation of all misused energy. All dualistic/divisive movement of the self must end as that is a misuse of energy. That being said, assuming one knows what are the implications in that fact, Can one prepare for illumination? Or isn’t the very preparation still qualify as misuse of energy? Perhaps once one digs deep enough the contradiction will reveal itself. Read this very carefully and investigate for oneself. I am not looking for a response.
  7. What is the root of belief? Could it be an escape from uncertainty (fear) of WHAT IS ??
  8. Not bating you friend. Just thought it might be worth going into. Belive it or not we are on the same side
  9. @Anna1 To one that may read this, by which means does one abandon the false? What causes this falseness (fear, desire, attachment)?? What action is in movement that abandons this falsity?
  10. You are what is actually taking place. If ones concisenessness is filled with attachment/conditioning then you remain within that conditioned field of consciousness. Until that ends, you are that.
  11. Lol i dont know. i don’t get involved with traditional teachings. But I know what you mean by dukkha, and get what you mean by the relationship between dukkha and transient phenomena of mind. Dukkha and the transient nature of mind implies what I have originally posted. To seek psychological security because the self is impermanent and seeks permanence in escaping suffering and seeking security/permanence in thought/mind. The self which is an illusion is impermanent and seeks security in an an illusion, which ‘it’ thinks will find permanence. But seeking security in the illusion of psychological permenance is to further perpetuate insecurity and therefore suffering. Fear and suffering are a creation of that doing of seeking psychological order in thought. To seek secuirty in the very mechanism that causes insecurity is to remain in fear, contradiction, conflict, confusion, and an eternal state of suffering. I think what I am talking about is related to what you are taking about as well. But you can observe this in yourself directly without any traditional teachings.
  12. The movement of Fear is always in relationship the i and things, THOUGHT. (identification and attachment) To me thought and fear are one and the same movement. If one is unaware that thought is the thinker, then inevitably yes fear drives thought.
  13. This is an overal orderly way of living. By far exceeds all meaning derived from the fragmented nature of thought.
  14. The drive for security is the root of insecurity. That alone is insight that shows the nature and motive of the need for meaning at all. One can ask themselves why do we place and depend on meaning psychologically at all? What is the root of such a movement? Could it be fear? And is not the root of fear thought? By seeing that all meaning is the creation of thought seeking security in itself is quite an insight right? When one sees the whole movement of thought creating and clinging to meaning, one is not caught in the game between concluding if there is meaning or not. Then one does not get caught in that subtle game of dependence on thought to self sustain.
  15. Also do nothing implies no technique at all. If it did, that would be a doing.
  16. If one is going to get get into do nothing meditation, it’s important that one can identify when the doer is in fact doing something. I notice that a lot of people attempt this without being aware that they are still participating in a doing. Understanding the nature of thought is essential if one is going correctly get involved with do nothing meditation. But yes do nothing meditation or (choicless passivity) implies holistic insight, (insight that is whole and not fragmented)...In that one does not get caught in the contradiction of time attempting to use time to end time. Just in case... Time=thought.
  17. Yes indeed. Could this be the very reason for negative thinking? Doesn’t seeking security in thought create further insecurity? Thought causes insecurity and then tries to use thought to bring about security to that insecurity. Like a dog chasing its tail. As long as we create an opposite to negative thinking, that opposite “postive thinking”, still has its root in the negative movement of thought itself. Thought/the self will escape the fact of “the negative”, and abstract an idea of its opposite “positve”, as means to conform to that idea and bring about psychological security. In this there is always the inevitable conflict because division between ‘what is and what should be’ has taken place. As long as there is this division there must be conflict, as that is a movement of contradiction. This is related to how thought creates an opposite of violence and invents the idea of nonviolence, which still is a movement of violence. As long as the negative, “violence” is in movement, there can be no postive, “nonviolence.” Where one exsist the other does not. One can not create the positve from the negative. The negative being (seeking psychological security in thought) must end. In this one has then broken the pattern of seeking security in time/thought. Broken the pattern of choosing between the opposites. This is a way the dualistic nature of thought works.
  18. Finding Peace in Meaninglessness... People seek security in meaning. People also seek security in saying there is no meaning. If one seeks psychological security in coming to the conclusion that everything is meaningless, then they have subtly placed meaning as to self affirm a desired point of view that satisfies ones own sense of value and self preservation. An interesting movement that the self will invent to self sustain. Fear/Thought is very tricky indeed.
  19. An action of time attempting to end time The inevitable contradiction and impossibility.
  20. @Prabhaker brought up an important point about nonviolence being a form of violence. I simply shared how nonviolence is still a form of violence. To one who didn’t see that fact and now sees and understands it, makes it well worth it to me. You say... I say, it’s worth it to me to somewhat clarify on the the issue of “nonviolence” You can have your thread back.
  21. Nonviolence is still a movement of violence. To escape the fact of violence, and to create the idea of nonviolence, remains that which the opposite has been extracted from. Nonviolence is a creation of abstraction, a movement of thought. Thought is the root of fear, and fear is the root of violence. With all do respect, I do not know much about Gandhi, but i do understand violence.
  22. Very sneaky indeed Perhaps cleverness is born of fear itself. And fear seeks security in that cleverness.
  23. There is only one holistic insight that paves the way to total freedom without the shackles of fear. This one insight cannot be cultivated. As the movement of cultivation is the very root reason for fear and lack of freedom. As long as there is the entity who cultivates with its compulsion of choice, condemnation, and controle, fear will perpetuate and nourish itself ‘as’ the ego. As long as there is any escape from what is actually happening embodiment will never come into being. Embodimment implies a cessation of seeking psychological permanence. As the psychological entity (the i) is impermanent by its very nature. For an illusion (the i ) to seek security in an illusion (psychological permanence) can only lead to illusion/self deception. If any such dualistic movement is taking place embodiment is an impossibility.
  24. Suffering is the result of resistance. Resistance is the product of thought. True. Because we don’t understand the subtle root causes of seeking to become or not become psychologically secure.
