@Moritz Perhalps we could start by learning what the structure and nature of thought is.. learn its movment. What I said earlier wasn’t necessarily meant to be taken as advice but more as somthing to invoke interest. So a good way to get into this is to understand the very vehicle we use to inquire and investigate, which is thought. Start by investigating what is thinking. I’m fairly certain if you go the distance and grasp this all those questions will be answered. Its very interesting? Good luck friend

@Moritz self/mind/ego are not different. And the self is relative to reality. Reality is the whole of conditioned conciousness. Anyway this may not be clear to you as of now so I wouldn’t worry about that yet. As for the “inner child”....This inner child image is simply old deep rooted memories which have constituted the very fabric of your self image. If those self images are questioned or the self is challenged this is felt to be an attack on the entity you call “me”. This image sustained by memory will be clinged to in order to self sooth and bring about psychological security. How does one move forward from this? See the fact that longing and seeking security in its self brings only insecurity and disorder. If that makes sense ?

An added experience of that which is different than the usual daily experience which gives itself significance as being the quality of being sacred or beyond the general state of consciousness. Then once that chemical reaction with the body ceases you are back to the normal state of conciousness and then the memory of that experience creates the mechanical process of pleasure to experience that again. Then taking that chemical becomes habitual to capture that experience again and again. And then my friend you are again stuck in a movement of propetual desire. ??‍♂️ Or perhalps you will levitate into a state of “absolute infinity” lol ? But if you have made up your mind already about this you might want to make sure an expert on that subject helps you ...be carful friend??

@Slade u know that’s a great question. Maybe just observe your self instead of listening to others ? A desire for happiness will ultimately lead to sadness. There is an experience of happiness that gave us gratification and when that experience is over we want it again and then arises pleasure. And if that image of the pleasure of happiness is not consistently met as projected there is conflict and suffering. Desire itself implies both happiness and sadness. U long for one you inevitably get both. It’s just like pleasure and pain. These two are one in the same. Two sides of the same coin. So the question we might want to ask is are these objects of desire actualy worth what is implied in the outcome? Maybe if the desire for the coin ceases there will be no conflict ??‍♂️

Wouldn’t we say that the nature of right relationship must be grasped in order to bring about order in society? Isnt this critical in maintaining a vigorous ecology? The understanding and comprehension of right Relationship I would say is of most importance.
