Awareness and self Learning never end. The art of living is to consistently put everything in its right place. Which takes undiviating awareness, scrupulous self learning/self knowledge, and a capacity to maintain that all important essence of humility. Enlightened being is not a movment from A to B to C and so on its A to A to A to A OVCOURSE THE FIRE DOES BURN HOTTER AND HOTTER AND IS EXPRESSED WITH INTENSIFYING EMBODIMENT. -

Hello @abrakamowse This struck me when you shared that... If that is the case then one still seems to be confined by the limited center. When one has a capacity to enter the realm of the boundless, timeless, and the immense on a daily basis then there is no need for the extinguishing the mortal frame. When I read that on Mahasamādhi, the first thing I thought was how did this yogi approach enlightenment. Did they use time as means to the timeless. That kind of outcome of ‘extinguishing the mortal frame’ to permanently establish absolute unity with the immeasurable source seems like a movment of time was cultivated to capture the infinite nature of perception without the perceiver. Practices, techniques, systems, and all the traditional processes all imply the cultivation of time ‘thought’ and ‘finite’ to attain that which is timeless. ‘Infinite’ The immeasurable can never be approached with Mind. Although this is just how I see things from my own experiencing and non experiencing. Interesting though -

@Joseph Maynor they take away that resistence so that there can be observation without the restraints of ego preventing objectivity? -

Enlightened being isn’t interested in measure. It embraces all aspects and manifestations of itself. -

Cool? dialogs of self inquiry also help one inquire more efficiently. Like exploring the art of dialectic will help you be able to explore better inwardly. This is the only way I have learned the nature of what has happened to me. Never read a book as far as teachings of non duality and such. Just had some discussions with a few lifers in the spiritual field. Learned a lot from those talks. -

@abrakamowse there are a few excellent sources that teach you how to self inquire more efficiently. When your ready you will find them. The kind of people that stress understanding oneself in relationship and being your own light. And not conforming to a particular pattern of thought to self sooth the psyche. But they also stress taking full responsibility for yourself and not following. I like Allan watts because he doesn’t want to change you. He isn’t a guru yet his entertaining intelligent and intellectual understanding mixed with wit and great communication skills makes for a great learning experience. -

Just keep doing that for now. Hes great as long as you inquire or relate what he says to your personal experience. Allan watts was and is great. -

Well that is the function of thought/ego ‘to want, to desire, demand, attain, accomplish, and so on. Without the movment of becoming or unbecoming ego/thought looses its function. The ego being a product of thought/mind is always searching for security and permanence of its own movement. So seeing this becomes self evident that anything ego/thought/mind concludes as TRUTH is merely to self sustain and give continuity to the ego itself. To become psychologically secure. And in that movement to become psychologically secure the ego still sustains its continuity because it is actully prepetuating further insecurity therefore giving itself a job or remaining in its actual and original function. Thought and the ego/center in its very function is to solve problems. If there are no problems it will tend to create problems to be solved. So what I mean is the ego/thought will fuel its own movement by seeking security and will attempt to overcome psychological problems which is its function, and by that very seeking psychological security creates even more insecurity which only employs its very function and purpose even further. Thought is very tricky and the ego is its slave or disciple Lololo -

Understanding the mind ego/thought and the nature of truth and how truth is non conceptual and can not be approached by demand, motive, volition ‘ego’ and you will get it? once you go into this deeply the mind will start to quiet and only then is a space in the conditioned space/time field of consciousness cleared for truth to come to you. To me it’s good to just investigate all this because it’s interesting Dont be so concerned with the result.? -

First its important to understand what is the nature of truth -
Faceless replied to lmfao's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Learn about the nature of duality and observe that in yourself. Learn about the nature of ego and the relationship to thought. Once you get into this deeply and understanding it very well start self inquiry and start to do inner work. In this inner work the mind ‘thought’ will start to quiet and the more and more this happens the more natural our already inherent non dualistic nature will shine through. Learning about the nature of truth vs reality also very important to explore. I personally didn’t learn non duality. I learned about the ego/thought/fragmentation in myself and explored that in myself. Once we are able to identify this in ourselves and see there corrupt, partial, false sense of what is actual or true you will start to negate them totally. In this negation you strip the “i” conciousness away and then goes the sense of separateness. If this is center ceases ‘even for a short period of time’ that is non duality. The more in-depth there is ceasing of the center the deeper more sacred non duality is expressed in spontaneous action of being. Going about it like this not only do you understand better non duality but action that is whole is expressed in you daily living. And always remeber the movment of becoming is to always deny the movement of being. This is a trap that the majority will get caught up in. Theres nothing wrong with learning from others but to depend on anohter will not suffice. You are your own book? -
Faceless replied to Truth Addict's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Neither verbal explanations or experiences lead to truth. Truth is not within the realm of mind. You can’t find truth. It has to come to you. And because one thinks they can actually ‘find’ truth is the reason it never happens or the reason it takes years and years if it does. Truth can not be cultivated through the movement of time. But this has to be seen for ones self? -
