Faceless

Not really a method. I didn’t ask for it. Wasn’t a movement of volition at all. I actually had no knowledge what so ever of any spiritual references at all. Actually some of the life long spiritual friends I have conversated with say that might have somthing to do with the fact that I never conformed or complied with education as a kid. I refused and refused to go. My home life was a mess which made that even easier. So my friends say the lack of conditioning may have helped in this centerlessness. It just started happening little over a year ago. I’m 34 now. This headlessness ever since seems to grow into longer intervals though. Its an unrecognizable experience or ‘non experiencing’ i never new anything about the mind until this happened. I’ve been learning and doing self inquiry as means to understand what had happened. Which seems to deepen this even more. It comes in an out on its own accord. Although seems to be fairly easy the more quiet the mind becomes. It’s hard to explain.

This just started happening to me all of a sudden one day. I just felt as if my head or entity behind the eyes had left. The feeling of having no head. It was very strange beautiful though. And it has deepened more and more since.

I hope my boy can do this when he’s older. It’s the ultimate joy.

For me the closest one can get to the unknown is emptiness or headlessness. A perceiving without the perciever. When the center ceases. Or when the known ceases.

I feel you there. And it’s an indication of subtle attachment still taking place.

There is no mechanism to enlightened being. Mechanism implies time and time implies mind. Thought can not move to that which is beyond thought.

I’m very happy for you? So I assume you understand my original post then. When it comes to timelessness no authority can lead to that realm. I from first hand experience see the falsenss of running off it a cave. This is the product of control and suppression. An indication that one lives a life of prepetual seeking. Wholeness and embodiment are not come upon by second hand knowledge. Freedom from all authority is a necessity. Especially the self and it’s movement of volition. Enlightened being or truth is only when such movements cease. And there is no path. This is an uninvited movement/action. I’m sure you understand this though.?

@Meta-Man you have an idea of enlightenment and I assure you it will not be the way you think. This is a solo inward exploration. And knowbody can help you. Advice would be forget about enlightenment all together. Because volition prevents such freedom from becoming so. Good luck

Yeah being strong psychologically helps with the physical but there are limits. My girlfriend works in a hospital she could attest to that. Also I have had a burn accident that was hell to go through. I wasn’t free from self then so it was very difficult. But I only had a small portion of my body burned. But I remeber hearning other people in the burn unit that had over 85% of there bodies burned. Screaming and moaning and such...There are limits if you know what I mean.

You talking psychological pain? Or physical?

Yeah I understand that. Some pains may be to excruciating though.

It’s a conditioned choice/decision. If they had not been influenced by certain traditions they would have never had such an impulse. All choices are conditioned by thought. And as I stated up above such a decision is the result of a time based progression to capture the timeless state. They are still wanting, seeking, reaching for that goody at the end of the tunnel. Time only leads to more time. Thought only leads to more thought. Volition becomes the cage ‘imprisonment’

Such an unelightened action is an example of one who is still bound and slave to psychological time and who has obviously taken the wrong approach altogether. If this becomes the case then you have actually digressed and are moving in the opposite direction of enlightened being. Enlightened being does not self alienate/isolate. It embraces relationships. Although if you feel you are wanting to isolate yourself from others and see them different than you then maybe you are not quite free of the self yet. Freedom from distraction in this case is necessary and just means you are not ready to participate in social communication quite yet. And that’s ok. Just be honest with family and friends about what’s important to you. But I assure you this Love doesn’t turn its back on itself. Because as enlightened being there are no distinctions and seperate entites. To love another is to love yourself.

Maybe the low points just seem low because the high points are so high?
