@Average Investor That's the right spirit!;) I would like to know something. What is it you are selling? Is it a side hustle? How much money do you earn? I sold items on ebay when I was in financial troubles and I realized that I'm very good in communicating with certain people. I sold a wide range of items and it made a lot of fun as well. Without this hustle I would have not survived financially. Would be cool to reestablish that:) -

Roy nailed it. I also think that after Corona we'll get a big financiall crisis. So we will see if that throws a lot of people back. It depends highly on our political leaders -

You two seem to be more like peers, which is cool as well. I share my Languages like @Dinesh Karki here, @Chintan desai , I assume you use Javascript as well, but would you confirm if that is true? @Chintan desai @Dinesh Karki Did you studied CS or are you an autodidact? -
The Question says it all. We'll have likely 1 month+ time at hand for actualizing. This could be the #1 Chance to show empathy & lead people. I'm quite sure this time will change societies and we can participate in that as actualized.org viewers. What will you do?:) Peace

Hey folks, i want to share the Dreyfus Model explicitly: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dreyfus_model_of_skill_acquisition The Basic rule are this: Beginners in any skill need context free rules to get things done The better you get, the more you need the context and develop intuition If you find basic rules, you can be very effective, like if you follow tutorials. There is more to it, if you want I can share that as well. It's all from the book 'Pragmatic thinking and learning' by Andy Hunt Peace

I don't want to point finger at you to take you guys down, I really want to discuss that. It's because I tend to be very sarcastic myself and I realize in the past days how this is just not a good tool to get people to more consciousness. Enlightenment is to realize a part of reality and we have little Events like this all the time. But we tend not to call this Enlightenment, we call this insight or so. The bigger Enlightenment the more we experience a glimpse of reality that we can't put in words. I find what i read from the Daoist tradition very interesting. Everything is connected. Wu Wei, doing without struggle, is a beautiful tool to get to Enlightenment. Besides that I do Yoga and some Meditation. I can't tell you what enlightenment really is & I picture myself as a student in this. I have much work to do. I like that. Yeah, I don't thought that you were thinking that. I just want to discuss, because underneath you had a point in finding that funny. Ego is playing tricks on us.;)

It's so easy to be sarcastic. "Oh, how silly to even think about that" - that kills open mindedness. Yeah it's most likely bullshit. But who knows? I find it likely that rich people like Eminem will go into Spirituality. So why not discuss that? @Applegarden @Rilles even when it's a little bit silly? Honest Question, big respect.

@remember I love that idea. It's about unity.

@LordFall Useful Advice was giving by the Authors before me. I want to add that the on/off is a normal part of the path for many. I experienced it and many I have talked with. Time is the magic ingredient. It's not linear growth and sometimes you have to go back to go further on your path. I hope this helps. Peace

To take this to a more productive level I'll answer this one more seriously. I thought the same. Leo is like 1-2 Months away in the begin of the crisis and meditates none stop. Perfect timing. I'm curious what he will have to say after his return. I wanted to make a retreat myself for 2 weeks in Aprile, but now I only could stay alone in my flat for contemplation and meditation. I think I'll do it no matter what is happening. -
@GrowthPilgrim Good Question, thank you. The first thing is to ask how THEY feel and then ensure my help if something is happening (even if it is just listening). If they are good I tell them what I gathered and what to expect and then shut up and wait for their response. That's it for the moment. This is time to talk about what we want for our future and lift our environment up as well. For example will some people have problem with money in the next months, I won't. So I will support them with food or whatever they need. This is limited, but you got to start somewhere. This evening people will pray to god and put a candle in the front window as a sign of solidarity. We will do that as well. Symbolic, but you gotta start somewhere...

supremeyingyang replied to Galyna's topic in Society, Politics, Government, Environment, Current Events
So how will Corona change society? That's my pessimistic Scenario: People will on a big scale, once again, choose the lie over the truth thus risking the lives of a lot more people to ensure their own prosperity. To end on a positive note, here is my optimistic Scenario: People will realize that corruption hurts everyone and set new rules to ensure more global equity. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________ Whatever the case will be: Conscious Politics will be needed like never before. I think about how I can participate in politics in my local community... -

How will Corona change our Societies? That is a interesting Question, which you could answer from several perspectives. For example @Preety_India wrote about how we will overall view the flu and think about government. The Article from @Galyna described a big range of possible developments, which honestly are so wide in the future that no one knows. But I imagine to be informed enough to know what will happen this year. I think Corona Virus is NOT the source of the problem we will see, it is only the catalyst of a economic crisis that was sure to come. I promise I try to go make it as high level as possible and focus on the most important developments I see: @Milos Uzelac wrote about a upcoming black swan effect, because Corona is that black swan. Corona won't be that important compared to the crisis that will come, that will look like 2008/2009 * 5. The economy will go down (mark my words). The Politicians and Banks will go (again) the easy route : printing money, lowering the interest-rate. There is a paraphrase from the hagakure and it goes like this : When you clan is starts to perish, don't fight against it. If you are lucky you can save your family instead. Meaning: From time to time creative destruction is normal. And if you fight it you will create more destruction. Wildfire-Theory: In the nature wildfires a normal part of the cycle of nature and they are not pleasant for humans (in the short run). So we prevent them. But if humans want to prevent them from happening.. what do you think happens? Instead of 12 little wildfire we get one gigantic wildfire, which is even bigger than the sum of the 12 little fires we prevented - and a lot of wood burns at the same time. That's a Metaphor for the Crisis Management of 2008/2009. The politicians, ceos and banker prevented banks and bis businesses to go down, which is great short term (and it save lifes). Mid-term a lot of people where homeless and even poorer than before. Sadly it damages societies and costs even more live in the long run. That a double bind: Almost no one has a time horizon of 20 years, people would rip politicians who try apart. Peace -

I think that this one is not in order to get destroyed. People will think like 'Ok, there is a new frontier to conquer' - and that will be all. We are globally not even in majority Green, so why should they think that? The Pest destroyed like half of the population of Europe, but they started the Industrial Revolution after that. I would even go further and say : Any culture that destroys femininity eventually expires. -
Thanks for your replies everyone. Valid and understandable Statements. Some said that they lived already isolated before the crisis. You were and are maybe isolated physically but we interact right now.. I feel that there will be opportunity to influence the flow events, for example to exploit the circumstances but also to help to enlighten many people in our social circle, heck or even strangers online. Corona will be the catalyst of a larger economic and social crisis, that came into being through corruption and (like Leo phrase it) devilry. The Question is this : Will we collectively learn from this crisis more than from the crises of 2001 or 2008/2009? There will be fear. I think about what I can do to contribute for the better. I was a loner in the past, but I think now is the time to get more socially active. I talk to friends and family online and give them support. However, this could be the big chance in OUR lifetime to change our social environment into the direction of love and solidarity. But... what do you think about this ? @lmfao @GrowthPilgrim @Galyna @Bazooka Jesus @Keyhole

EXACTLY! This is the time to learn. The time of change will come eventually and it is wise to make our best that it is to the more conscious . @Javfly33 I understand you and I love that you had the courage to write this down. I would be a Hypocrite to judge you, because at certain times in my life it would have thought just like you in that situation. It is good that shared this feelings and I'm quite sure that you'll grow from working out for yourself WHY you feel like you feel. Peace -
@Raptorsin7 There was never a better time to launch a blog on gaming (with the shutdown). Every Gamer is at home and plays Games non-stop!!! You could write a burner article about how to play healthy in times of corona as a kick off of your blog. This can give you the attention to launch the blog and to help people:) If you need some technical help to launch it, I can help you.

@IJB063 It's true. Many longterm problem come from that

Here is my Question : What the fuck is going on with me? It all started months ago. My new years resolution was to stop drinking alcohol for 4 months. While red wine is cool in the short run and mid term the results you tend to get in the long run are crap. So I decided I should quit my almost daily red wine habit. I have never blackouts or hangovers or crazy behavior from drinking by the way. So I quit. I smoked some weed instead or learned. Then I decided to get off caffeine would be great to help me get off coffee. So I did that 2 weeks into the new years. After some time I thought it would be nice to get back to my Yoga habit, because - well, I have free time now;) Then I noticed that I should eat not only healthier, but in an other time plan. So I got to 16/8 diet, where you eats roughly 8 hours and fast for 16 hours a day. After that, one week ago I thought that it would be nice to quit 'binge watching' and listening to music while on the run to work or so. I plan to meditate, train more and a couple other things. It feels really good. On the other hand I'm working hard on my job, a job I'm very dedicated in and I see the good effects there too. It's crazy. Now a lot of things seem to come easy after 5 years of intense work. Or is it the case that the work I did now materialized on the surface?

Lol, I thought the same. Good luck in that. Most people do no want this at their current level AND if you get them together there will be tons of problems. So one has to be prepared for the fighting and the politics. See, right this would be damn beneficial if you would invent a recipe of how to strenghten sommunities

I'm a currently programmer, but I have studied social science and a bunch of others studies that are considered 'abstract' or 'useless'. I always knew this was wrong, these studies can be very positive impactful. It's just that it is hard to articulate the knowledge. It's like I'm always on a meta level and I always want the big picture - then I manufacture a vision and work towards that vision. That is why I like to watch things from distance, because it's easier to understand what is really happening. Key Skill is always learning what is necessary. For example you'll learn statistics if you pursue psychology in university. That is a hard skill that can really help with you psychology/spiritual work, even though it's not obvious. @SgtPepper Great idea
