supremeyingyang replied to whatishappeningtome's topic in Society, Politics, Government, Environment, Current Events
@whatishappeningtome do you want to hire a coach or why are you posting this? because you are right, that's a common theme. The same is going on in university: people are teaching aspiring teacher with little to no demand in the real world. Demand is the magic word. There is a demand from aspiring coaches, but only a small demand from everyday folks. What can a typical 20 something really offer? A good coach should succed first, like leo did in his marketing business. If the new coach does that, I'm sure he or she will succed. Other than that they all be pretenders and fail. I see coaching a as double edged sword. On the one hand it's cool. On the other hand it attracts people who haven't made it in the world beyond. -

there is the legend that the guy who wrote wordpress did this 'sleep every 4h for 20 Minutes'-Routine. It worked, but he had to stop because his wife said she would leave if he would continued. Maybe just a myth. But it points to a important thing: Expect to use a lot of energy to keep your habit going... If you are so chaotic (like you said, which I find charismatic by the way) you may have no problem to be off the habit for some days because of whatever... hey - so maybe this wouldn't be a problem. Give it a try, if you like. However - I would recommend something more pragmatic: sleep at night for 6 hours + a nap a noon. It's proven by time (a lot of farmers had these habit to get up at 4am, but still have a life). By the way I sleep for 7-9h at night and would like to sleep for 9h every night. I don't believe in 'night shift' work, be it a academic paper, learning or whatever. It's not the time there the magic happen to me. So why partition you sleep? Hell, I didn't even like to nap as a child when I went to kindergarten. If you choose to do the experiment, please report how it went

Well, take some time off would be the obvious advice. Is there anything holding you back? Could you close the business? That is one perspective. Yes, it can be really nasty nowadays - and you can dodge a lot of these traps. Isn't it cool that you are aware?

Everyone keeps talking about these low stages. I'm currently at Stage #FFCCF9 *irony off*

supremeyingyang replied to Ivan Dimi's topic in Society, Politics, Government, Environment, Current Events
@Ivan Dimi lol. Had such a Conversation about Vaccines once with a Co-Worker I met on the street. That was god aweful, because i certainly don't want to point things out to a almost stranger (does not work anyway) What I dislike is that now a lot of critique gets sorted into the 'conspiracy theorist' or 'baffon' box, even though it's fact-based. Just because a conspiracy theorist might also mentions it...For example the german government proved it's so anti-digital that it's embarassing. We have to fill everything out in paper, nothing works reliable in the apps. If you tell this, you might be ob the edge of beeing labeled as a conspiracy theorist. Basicly no one is responsible and just does what she or he is told to do... I just follow my orders! Damn. -
@roopepa for whatever its good: i felt the same at your age (I'm 30), took some years off and it turned out to be great for me - even though everyone thought i would only slack off... this was the time to start deeply thinking for myself;)

So there was still no tour, right? Sounds cool. I get a Mystery feeling (the PUA). I would go to the US alone if that weren't so scary. Maybe I should start saving:D That would be really new exp, eh?;)

@Thought Art set an intention, something like 'I want to reach this idealistic goal X. To do this I need to develop Skill-Group Y' then you backwards-engineer a plan with the time range a. short-term (6 Months), b. mid-term (6 month to 2 years) and c. longterm (2 years to 5 years) now you have immediate things to do, like 'get a job' or 'get good grade in university' - and you ask yourself: How can I make it more likely that I reach this goals? example 'get a job': you could apply every day or you could change your approach and apply very targeted; rebuild your CV ... etc. pp. if something works real nice you notice that 'high yield technique' and follow through on it. After 6 Months you evaluate if you reached you goals, what could be better etc. >>> define new short- mid- and longterm goals some day you reach your original mid- or lonterm goal enddate and you evaluate these as well. things change a lot over time, like @Yarco said - but it's always wise to track yourself. you'll get better over the years, expect much failure if you are bad in planning

That part reminds me of myself:D Even if it's hard one has to move in the direction one wants to... and it can be super challenging to be the one who disagrees with the group, i know To Answer your Question: I argue that it's safer to go a little out of your comfort zone. In your case this means maybe exploration of all kinds (esp. social events, aaah) or to get more education / apprenticeship even if that means you have to work more. It's seldom one hasn't learned a thing from that, but I see many, many people above 40 who deeply regred to not have learned a skill that earns a living. It's a common trap. Ask yourself: What if your mother could not pay rent anymore (death, disabled)? Could you sustain your live ? Is that likely? That being said.. maybe you discover you are most happy as a semi monk - but then you will have additional perspective

Just for the record, there are people who dislike soccer as a spectator sport. I'm one of them. It is maybe awesome for you, but please do not count me in. I have nothing against football per se, but I despise this 'this is for everyone attitude'. What about those who don't care? Just leave me alone. Thank you for reading. Maybe some feel alike if I start rambling about politics @ArcticGong I guess your criticism is valid, just because there is other evil in the world you don't have accept that in Fifa. If soccer is mad meaningful for you, start there, buddy -
i studied a in my families opinion worthless subject (sociology) to have much time to think and get to know myself. >> the value of getting to know your Self is so underrated

Good Idea. You kill three birds with one stone: Marketing Networking Learning @d i e g o I heard one of your Podcasts. The style is different, more casually then I would have expected from a wine podcast (which was cool). Try to develop you own style even more and you are good. Example: You have in 'Wein über online B2B Verkostungen verkaufen' a little voice acting where you played a customer-reaction. That part was especially raw and authentic. Do things like that, i mean not only voice acting but something raw;)

It boils down to this: What is really important? If you are focused on what you want (Career/LP, Health, Sleep, Friends) time will remove everything that is unimportant. It's like water that eats through stone. To become a programmer I had to make a lot of sacrifices. Quit Weed. Quit hanging out with stupid people. Drop out of by Master-Class... I even had to sacrifice health and sleep for some time. Let me tell you this: It can't be endured for long. Without Health you gain nothing. Without People Success means nothing. But my life is way harder compared to the life of my friends or peers.. You get used to the suck of it and it's a really good feeling to work through some barrier.

"Why am I fighting to live if I 'm just living to fight? Why am I trying to see when there ain't nothing in sight? Why am I trying to give when no one gives me a try? Why am I dying to live if I'm just living to die?"

@diamondpenguin thanks for sharing, I tell you what I think when I'm through edit: I think he has the impression that humanity is more developed as leo laid it out to us. That does not means that it is true, but I found it often that other users of SD is think very different from our 'flavor' of SD

Update for anyone who is interested. I came to the point where I meditated longer. Best results where made with 45 minutes and two times 20 minutes. It's hard to build that into my day, but if I do it, my results are even better. I guess I'll commit myself 100% after testing it a little more -

At first I wanted to post this in 'Self-Actualization' because this is about Focus & Flow (I guess, but read for yourself), but then I came to the Conclusion more People would appretiate it here. Here's the little story i want to share: After one Year of remote work due to Covid-19 (as alone living Person) I implemented Meditation-Session. I set a Timer and after every 25 Minutes I meditate for 5 Minutes, After long Meetings or Stress I meditate longer (~10-20minutes). So it's only, as i like to call it, spice meditations, because you need very little spice to make a good meal a damn fine meal;) Results very calm feeling after work I was chill chill, not done done like normal No Overtime much better Results much deeper learning Creative Ideas where I was stuck before More ability to be proactive my colleagues became very funny to watch: way to energetic and quick so they make a ton of mistakes in meetings I could speak with much power and confidence which I was lacking before ... man. If this is more or less constant, even if it becomes less intensive, I found my personal Game Changer. For real: I cried while Meditating (Standing by the way) tears of joy I meditated of course before, but never during work. Now my Question: Can anyone report something similar? -

I feel that. Had the same at a lot places (a higher School, University, a new Workplace, Martial Arts School...) -- people are everywhere about the same (only sometimes worse than average). Sounds pessimestic, but I believe that you can just get into a better community. The best communities eventually close itself because of the normies. After accepting that I get seldom surprised. I am not fond with it. It is what it is. regards
