@DocWatts I put the book on my reading list! I'm not that familiar with Piaget at this point. I only had a course where is writing where central topic back in university. Which resources would you recommend for a. MHC and b. Piaget himself? Plus I heard a lot of Wilber in the forum, but was not able to deep dive any of his books. Is that a mistake? Funny, I'm planning sort of my book diet for the year 2022, even though I hadn't this intention when I entered this thread

Now if that is true that the model can help us analyze this, this would be a handy tool. Test: Seem Person X be able to reach above 10 - yes or no? That way you can assugn tasks which fit the stage of a person und thus be more productive as a organization. Innovation work for those who can handle it! @DocWatts is the book you read worthwhile?

@omar30 NICE!
-
@omar30 well thats okay, just try things out. If you can't imagine a project that means usually you know not enough. Do a Course, make it a commitment to make the course for 10h a week for 30 days. At day 31 you know better things. If you fail you know that you have to explore into your motivation or your decipline

@omar30 Weak motivation. What makes you think programming is your passion? For me it's learning or more acurate in coding it's learning to solve problems, the code is the just the language the problems are wrote in to me. If you are about learning languages like java for pleasure (which is legit by all means), then explore them in really great detail: Grab all books (o reilly for example), the official documentation, browse the web.. Learn new commands and use them in ever complexer programs. You can start with the goal of writing one method a day, if you feel good you can write a lot and if you feel bad you can cheat a little, which is also a skill to develop, haha I recommend you develop little things you really need like a complex calculation or a tool for your phone. Chances are you need guidance by some programming team to learn the trade.. ~ like a ship without a map or goal in the middle of an ocean define a goal. I'm also not about the money first, but you just need it to buy time to tinker with problems.. otherwise you'll be distracted earning a living. Seen it way too often with all kinds of individualists: nah, i don't need the money =10years=> now i work a dayjob without time at my hand to do what i want

I use hledger. The theory behind bookkeeping is more important however.

@TripleFly why not sql i may ask? it's super easy to learn. No-sql is ok as well^^
-
Problems to start learning to program, eh? If you want we can talk on Hangouts or whatever, seriously, idk what to recommend you without context;) Coolest Work: Business Intelligence as Yellow. Languages: SQL, SQLScript, ABAP plus one statistical Programming Language (R, Python, Julia) and one Scripting Language (Python, Perl...) OR Bash. You should love to learn for that. I learn Chinese (你好) and Russian (привет) when I'm bored. I guess you need to be somewhat of an outlier to read all day and then be like 'finally at home, let's read a book about the sociological systems theory'^.^

@Heinrich Faust When I now think about it, openly Stage Yellow Politicians would have a hard time. So even if they where there, they should have learned to hide their Yellow -
Rule: If a Party gets 3 'Direktmandate', the 5% Rule won't apply anymore (as seen with LINKE currently). There are 2 dozens of little Parties. I see a opportunity for 3 or so 1-2% Parties to get 3 'Direktmandate'. There is so little change. If only one new party, like VOLT, with 1% would get her 3 'Direktmandate' and thus go into Bundestag, this would demonstrate that change is possible. I think this is what Germany needs to see: Good change is possible. What do you guys think? Is it possible? And how?

In that case science get's reduced to a 'I win the discussion' Joker, a bad one because everybody can look up some weirdo with a PHD. Science is not immune. Don't forget how racism was considered "proved" by some sciences 100 Years ago. Garbage. In Germany we have a significant minority who argues against the most popular scientific explanation of covid. Some are idiots, but some are not. It does not matters. Same mechanics: the use of words that have conclusion in build. If we get vaccinated, we show SOLIDARITY => If you don't get vaccinated, you show the opposite of SOLIDARITY => it's okay to be condecending to those who don't vaccinate By the way I'm vaccinated and I think it it's at this point ones personal decision. -

@PurpleTree Word. @Carl-Richard If we have a Problem, we can find 2 different terms for it. We could even agree on everything but how to solve it. Why would I agree on your term if I think the immanent solution of that term won't work? To use a term over a other is a design decision. So don't be surprised if people don't want to use your terms, because they may don't agree with the conclusion you present. -

@impulse9 @Thought Art I think the import part of the discussion is that we all agree that people deserve to live a good life and it's worth striving towards it. What is not important is the terms to describe that. Let's change structures instead of talking 'bout mere ideology. By the way, I'm not in any way ignorant about the many (!) Problems of the Non-White People: Poverty, Institutional Racism, Slavery, Crime, higher rates of Diseases, Alcoholism and Drug abuse... I read a LOT on the the Issues and let me tell you it's not right how it is now. -

@EntheogenTruthSeeker It feels like a beginning. But one that we must create, the Zeitgeist is in our favor. We all need solution for the whole spiral. People begin to understand.. I really like the Whistle Blowing lately... corruption exposed everywhere. It takes time, but it will have an impact. -

Lindner: Orange Harbeck: Green Gauland: Blue Because head Figures and the Circle of them (Colin Crouch's words) have so much Power, much more than the rest of the party it would be maybe interesting to analyze that groups. For example SPD: Kühnert + Esken + Borjahns + Stegmann. It would also be interesting to me to try to determine the MBTI Types of them to see which are the most Types and thus can predict their bias... At least with the 'big wigs' should it be make able to guess a little. A try... just a try Merkel: INTP - Logician Laschet: ESFJ - Consul Scholz: ISTJ - Logistician Bärbock: I don't know, but surely ***J - wouldn't it be interesting to find some of them.. would you say that Marco Bülow is one of them? -

@Tim R Well, in you Interpretation is already a part of the answer. I know who I would classify Top Tier in Germany. Let's begin with Merkel and the three Kanzlerkandidaten -
I see where you are coming from! Nowadays I'm very happy compared with me 5 Years ago. I do what I love: learning People lead you astray by default. The challenge to stay on track was at first discouraging, then normal and now a game. This is not available to anyone right away. For most, including me, is a time of you need to soldier up non voluntary. I call it Purification. Your System gets shell shocked and over the time you transform. Leo called it 'holding your feet to the fire of reality' @hyruga haha funny, I implement the book right now. Delegation of repetetive tasks and development of a digital Product (no shipping, less logistics). The book is really good, but you have to be cautious with Ferriss. He sells the anti mastery mindset, while pursuing mastery himself (basicly he hacks social systems): Just 3 simple rules to acchieve like a Master... haha. Just a noob with 3 rules.. It tend to be liberating to NTs (who acchieve nothing, just study and theorizing by default) and devastating to majority who by default won't study without force

In part. There is however a Part of thede Parties which I would characterize with what the Sociologist Colin Crouch calls 'Post-Democratic'. This is characterized by an entfremdung of the People and Politicians. Democratic Acts become ritualistic. Parties orient themselves on Corporation or the 0.01% - Corruption. (...) No doubt! But no one is a great Politician AND Yellow. How would you charaterize the Top Politicians in Spiral Dynamics? -
supremeyingyang replied to supremeyingyang's topic in Society, Politics, Government, Environment, Current Events
Not a bad outcome Yes and I think the goal of getting 5% would largely correlate with having Direktmandate. This reduces the way too big problem to get 5% to a smaller problem: Get a Direktmandat. Still way too big. You can reduce that to methods of getting people to vote for such an candidate, but mostly it would be a derivate of 'providing value'. Here is my step by step manual: Politicians in the making go to formal meetings of regional politicians and make notes about what they talk about, what they as new politicians need to learn to keep up, what they are lacking, how the rituals goes... After learning that, they seek a project that is small enough to be solved at regional level, but important enough for the normal citizen. They Research it deeply and solve the problem in Theory. If everything is clear: laws, stakeholder or whatever.. They go to the most promising established faction and tell them about the problem. In the concise description is already the answer. You presenting yourself as an expert, someone who is useful. The Faction (say SPD) make things happen takes the praise. After some time you repeat that. And again. And again. The other Politicians and the bureaucrats will notice the new politician, our expert. Ordinary People will recognize over time the worth of your Inquiries. I think in 10 Year steps here. At some point people ask for Interviews. Now can the new politician 'go live'. I call that politican apprenticeship and I would donate 50€/Month to someone doing that for the next 10 years in Full Time. Of course there would be a need for more Patreons, so to speak. If someone isn't paid, the person will be distracted with the need to make a living. I have already 2 people in mind which I know for more than 20 years, who would fit if they were willing to do that. We'll see. I will not do it, my life purpose is to bring learning to the people and not politics. But I will do that I can to support someone or some party if they are integer to me I argue that all these Parties are structural remarkable similar (let's not talk about everything right of FW, please => trash). They are not build for participation of ordinary people and this is due to developing in context of the larger system I think there would be a lot of usage for that. I can for example imagine a single Direktmandat Yellow Politician without a big Party emerge and become 'a voice of reason' or 'mediator' between factions Exactly -
Isn't it also about you mindset? A dependent Person will be a wage slave, no matter the type of job. You wrote 'love the living fuck out of what you're doing' - I think that's not practical for most people. A nice starter mover is not to hate what you need to do (like a stoic)
-
Why would you change how you do things? Maybe I don't understand that right. That sounds like that's the solution. Can anybody do it?

These 'Yellow Thinkers' are to me mere Critics, not System Thinkers. Yes, I heard sometimed valueable critique from some AFD MDB. But how is that an Indicator of Yellow? And even if it were one - what about the great majority of AFDlers who are certainly not even Orange? -
@itachi uchiha Just bite the bullet and put in the work. If you want to get good at programming you may need to sacrifice you comfort for some years. I would encourage you to not let this be your life strategy. And yes, I you are 'good' one hour a day is enough to stay on track. But don't do this nonsense: Don't sacrifice your health for little money like so many coders.... you realize that this is a 'damn I dropped out of college and need to pay bills' - Industry? Meaning: There are a lot of Basic Level people, but not even enough decent and let alone good or master coders...
