  1. My answers were a good starting point, but as mentioned, only the beginning.
  2. Whats up peeps. So I've been doing the #2017flipchallenge It's simple really. Basic flipping of under priced items on the market. But the magic lies in developing your ability to make money anywhere, right now, with no skills and little resources. You can literally start today, all you need to do is put in some time. As an example of whats possible, over the last 2 weeks I've made around : £800 Post results in here if interested!
  3. From my experience a small circle of concerns makes you overly sensitive. My guess is you're not pursuing things your passionate about, or you wouldn't have time to get sensitive. So quite simply find a way to unleash your creativity. From climbing, to fighting or painting. You need to engage your mind, its trying to tell you something. All the best, Nic
  4. @Natasha You're assuming I'm not? Unfortunately I live in a society that uses money to survive, and being who I am..I want some volition over my direction in life. Part of that means using my initiative to survive. Thanks for your advice though FYI part of this challenge is to sell all the stuff you don't need...so yeah, become a minimalist
  5. @Dan Arnautu Yes, that could be a trap for someone deeply neurotic. And no, you should never confine being present and aware to a formal practice..and one should never go into 'chimp behavior' full stop!
  6. @Principium Nexus Amazing response, thanks! I read 'the intelligent investor' years ago, and several other books. The area has always fascinated me. Thanks again for taking the time to write this thoughtful and detailed answer. There's a lot of good advice there especially shadowing someone who has skills.
  7. @brovakhiin I think when you absorb yourself in things that require a lot of brainpower, this happens. Especially during an intense learning phase. It depends what you want out of life. Its easy to sit on a mountain and be zen. Doing the same while in a battleground is a different beast. Its a choice I guess. Maybe the challenge is worth it? Maybe you want to opt out? Only you can answer that. There are no solutions though, except the ones you find yourself! Nic
  8. @Socrates Yo. Yeah, in Ebay check the left column in search and press 'completed items' This will give you a complete history of the item in question and how much it sells for+how often (and when it doesn't sell). From here you can make an educated guess on how much to put it up for etc. You can determine shipping prices within ebay itself, it will guide you through the process. And also be aware that Ebay charges a small amount per transaction (10% I think) If still stuck just Google the terms "how to search for completed items ebay" Also use goofbid.com it has a load of great ebay tools. Super handy!!!
  9. @Principium Nexus I've always been interested. How long would you say it takes to educate yourself before you can start making reliable money? IF that's possible to quantify.
  10. @Eonn 1.Cut out all processed foods and added sugar 2. experiment with either "the slow carb diet" (Tim Ferriss) or "The Paleo Diet" (Rob wolf) This is the best foundation you can experiment from. It concentrates on nutrient density, cuts out all the crap and things that you MAY have adverse reactions to (gluten, wheat, dairy) Also check out the writer Micheal Pollan...he's a great writer and has made some amazing books on nutrition.
  11. @brovakhiin Cool, I like it. Crypto is an interesting train. I'm getting involved in helping to market a cryptocurrency in the new year called LightBlue. Should be fun!
  12. @brovakhiin Ha same, but on runescape..use that entrepreneurial spirit Gary Vee is great...and I definitely recommend him. He focuses on branding, social media and building awareness..he also has a great ability to predict where attention is going. Very interesting frames.
  13. @Leo Gura Do you think the same way about meditation?
  14. @ZX_man Sweet! Wish I could say the same I don't need much, though in the future I'd like to have enough to do some interesting projects.
  15. @Hsinav I'm not really sure what you're trying to point out
  16. @Marco_the_Ape A mixture...You'd be surprised what you have lying around that you can sell. Use that as a foundation to build off.
  17. Absolutely fascinating talk. Paul makes a good case for using mushrooms to help with self-actualizing...the potential here is huge, I'm planning on doing some experiments soon.
  18. I think fruityness should be determined by activity levels! If you move, get some of those sugars in you. My go-to breakfast: 1.banana+egg+flax+cinnamon pancake (just beat it up with a fork and gently fry) cooked in coconut oil. Delicious and nutritious. Throw in chia, coconut, berries, anything really. 2.Soaked whole oats mixed with yoghurt and blueberries
  19. These can be used whenever you like. Some however, like time restricted eating can be followed all the time. At the end of the day, experiment. These tools will require further research as whole posts could be made on each one. I’ll go into more depth later, but a quick google search should give you the basic ideas if you’re stuck. Time restricted eating There is a lot of very interesting research being done in this area. By getting all your food into a sub 12 hour window you work with your circadian rhythm. This looks like it could be a huge factor in long term health. Its easy to do and the results to our health could be massive. Fasting This sets into motion a process called autophagy, the bodies way of clearing out dead/damaged cells. There is also research to suggest it slows down the ageing process. Also, fasting can start nutritional ketosis which protects the brain and muscle tissue. These are just some of the benefits. This is a great protocol to do once a month or whenever the fancy strikes you. Some people do better than others, though I think everyone should fast once in a while. A simple fast would be to eat dinner then eat nothing until the next day where from 4pm-10pm you would eat as much as you like. The goal here isn’t calorie restriction. Green smoothies Simple, and should be done daily. Get a ‘greens powder’ and throw in a load of spinach, kale and whatever else you want to get a massive dose of nutrition. Its easy and foolproof, making it perfect for someone like myself. Fermented foods Kombucha and kefir are my favorites, and you can make them yourself easily and cheaply. They feed good bacteria in the gut (also known as the second brain), which is critical to overall health. Tracking Do not underestimate tracking your nutritional intake once every few months for a week. You can use free apps such as ‘myfitnesspal’. Its quick and painless and gives you a complete breakdown of where you’re falling short of your requirements. Keep in mind the RDA is the minimum amount required to prevent disease, not for optimum health! Learn to cook Again, do not underestimate this. My rules for cooking are it has to be simple, nutritious and delicious. By learning some recipes and making a few clever substitutions where you need to, you can eat extremely tasty foods that are cheap and simple. Genetic testing+bloodwork 23andme will give you your genetic information for a small price, which can go a long way into personalising your nutrition.
  20. I find Evernote amazing for this. And its free.
  21. Stumbled across this post detailing a 'scientific method for attaining enlightenment' i think the method is overhyped, but the post has a LOT of useful data streams (teachers, overview of techniques etc). Definetely worth a look. https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/amp.reddit.com/r/streamentry/comments/62ev8b/community_the_finders_course_techniques_and/
  22. I would recommend genetic testing through 23andme. This can do a lot to uncover things you wouldn't see with blood tests.
  23. The RDA is actually the minimum required to avoid getting sick as @pluto alluded to. If you want a book on the subject I recommend T'he Ultramind solution by Mark Hyman' and this amazing women
  24. Whey is extremely nutritionally dense and protein is definitely required to be healthy. Whether you personally do well with whey is another question, one that boils down to your individual genetics. If you're interested cut out all dairy for 2 weeks then bring it back into your diet. Notice any changes to skin, energy, bowel movements, gas etc. Saying whey causes cancer and disease is not accurate. Cancer and other diseases are complex, and usually a result of many factors. There is a lot of bad science out there on meat and dairy. The moral aspects are another question entirely, but crusaders are quick to shout anything that supports their ideologies. Also interesting fact, some old tribes used to thrive off milk and blood from their animals.
