There is a fine line between overindulgence and repression. Balance is key. -

That's atleast the vibe that I get from the people who argue in support of the cartoons. -

I believe activism that willfully provokes violence is completely ineffective and inappropriate from a pragmatic standpoint and it should only be deployed if there is no other alternative. You can be an advocate for free speech without being a troll, and you're never going to change the fundamentals of Islam with some cartoons. What are we really achieving? The cartoonists know perfectly well the consequences of their actions. The hypocritical attitude of "oh look how they're killing people for some ink on paper - we don't support that!" while at the same time gleefully causing more of that to happen only comes from a childish lack of perspective. You're not exercising free speech: you're exercising stupidity. It's like saying you're exercising your freedom of movement by walking off a cliff. -
More awareness of relativity doesn't makes you worse at drawing distinctions. It makes you better at it. A schizophrenic is still "different" from a non-schizophrenic person in many ways. Even though everything is imaginary, there are still different degrees of imagination, different degrees of delusion. Are there problems that arise from labelling things as a "mental disorder"? Yes. However, prejudice and stigma dissolves as people evolve. The labels can be changed but the source of the prejudice will still remain.

"All you know about me is what I've sold ya, dumb fuck I sold out long before you'd ever even heard my name I sold my soul to make a record, dipshit And then you bought one" You don't have to be tall to be a badass

Then it has less to do about history and more to do about epistemology, don't you think? -

But is that your experience? Because it seems like you concluded that thoughts simply arise out of nowhere based on your experience. How are memories any different? -

Sounds like some strong kundalini symptoms. You should probably go to some kundalini teacher who can help facilitate the process and smoothen things out for you. I have some weird pressures in my forehead and sinus area that I suspect are kundalini-related, but they're relatively mild and I can live with it. The pressure correlates with crackling noises and energy discharges (tensions) from the upper spine, and sometimes it jolts my head. My mom who is a doctor said I have some type of dystonia (neurological disorder), but it vanishes if I relax or go into deep meditation. If the pressure gets annoying, I can make it disappear by focusing in on it, and it sort of redirects the energy upwards and sends me into a very alert state of awareness. -

If the thoughts aren't stored anywhere, then why does memory have to be stored somewhere? What is a memory but a thought? -
This is the damage Alex Jones is doing if you think about it

Expect the unexpected -
He actually made me lose my mind, but of course that's relative. At the end of the day, you'll have to come to terms with the impermanence of your own existence. Whatever you do, you're going to disappear, and you can't stop it. It's true for everybody. All these worries you have about going insane, all this confusion about knowing what is real or not, is nothing else than survival mechanisms for your limited identity: your identity as a human being, as a lawful citizen, as a son, a father, a mother, a brother. When your time on earth is up, you'll have to get rid of that identity and reclaim your infinite identity as God. If you want to take that process into your own hands, and if you want to be in control of it rather than being forced into it at the end of your life, consider this path. Accept death, accept non-existence, accept unreality, accept insanity, accept loneliness, accept alienation, accept failure. Surrender to all pain, surrender to all fear, surrender to Love. Give everything to Love.

There is no such thing as an equilibrium and utopias don't exist. -
Meeting up with a buddhist will only increase the intensity of the phenomenas you're experiencing. You either stop meditating and hang up the phone, or you take the plunge and never look back. It looks like you would benefit from more non-mystical types of self-help.

If the other sections were flowing over with history content, sure. Interesting. It's often green that accuses orange for being ahistorical, but do you have an example in mind? -

So that is one lens that you can use to describe what is going on. SD is just another lens.

It's not like people will start posting about history just because you open up a section for it. There has to be a demand for it. Regardless, history fits well under this section. What is history about but society, government and politics? -
"Structure vs content" is also a model.
