This is an intuition/inference though. You don't truly know the full ramifications of an organically generated, persistent nondual state of awareness (or whatever hyper-purified Buddhist version of that), before you're in it. This is just my inference, but I think that something which is organically generated (and persistent) is completely different from a transitory state (and its afterglow effects). It's not that one is higher and one is lower, but rather that they're in completely different categories. I also think that the potential of the former is much easier to dismiss than the latter, because again, you truly don't know. Another inference that I've got from realizing the power of refining my own organic potential (by minimizing that which isn't merely essential and maximizing that which is), is that the intelligence inside is immense, if only it's allowed to be. -
Yes, true, yes.

That meme was purely obscure to me. Am I missing something? The amount of times Nick Land was mentioned blew my mind. I just thought he was some internet troll

Sounds like you're hitting on relevance realization, which is a problem not just for establishing human-like conscious AI, but for generalized AI: Relevance realization seems to be intrinsically tied to life (or autopoiesis), so even more evidence that the way to human-like conscious AI might simply be abiogenesis.

Find a passion and excel in it. Forget mind training techniques: learning by doing. Develop deep and holistic intelligence, not some shallow quantitative intelligence that you can measure with a test.

I just realized that after my first awakening, all my suicidal ideations stopped.

The feeling I had in that moment is best described as a sense of "impending doom". Whatever was behind that door was the end. I didn't get very anxious, but it was a moment of great suspense, and it distinctly felt like the climax of a movie. It was exciting in a weird way, because my friend said "if it's my mom and she asks if we're high, just tell her it's LSD because she is fine with that, but don't mention weed", and for some reason, I wanted to meet his mom, because I pictured her as this benevolent, caring, understanding mother. But man, anything could've been behind that door: a complaining neighbor, police, Jehova's witnesses, door salesman; but for some reason, it was something we would've never predicted in a million years, which was such a wtf moment.

After I was like 11 years old, I never asked my parents to buy me anything that wasn't completely essential: no computer games, no candy, no excess clothes. My mom was strict as fuck Today, she is one of the most spiritually attuned people I know (which doesn't mean much, but it's something). I didn't ask her to change anything about herself. She came to me and asked me about how I became the way I am.

Probably, but tryptophan is literally converted into 5HTP before it is converted into serotonin. The only difference is that tryptophan is also converted into other things like vitamin B3 and competes for transport across the blood-brain barrier with a few other amino acids like tyrosine, so you need a higher dose for the same effect.

Telling people to stay on topic and then creating a completely new dialogue tree out of that by arguing about it. You're allowed to say your opinion on whether something is off topic or not, but don't hijack the thread with it. I think it's fine to spend some time clarifying our general stances on mental health so that we know what we're talking about, and OP himself agrees with that. If we instead had started talking about something completely unrelated like nofap or dating, then maybe correcting course would be more appropriate.

You're playing cop and derailing the thread. I've told you to stop doing that.

Poor Destiny and his 10.5g first time trip ?

Nothing serious, but one time on LSD, me and my friends sat in the living room when it knocked on the front door and we weren't expecting anybody. We all looked like deer in headlights for the few moments it took my friend to answer the door. Luckily, it was just a random neighbor who had just moved in, and he wanted to let my friend know that he would be up to hang out some time (which is honestly really odd ?).

What does that mean? Do you think that your own tiny, limited, human personal thoughts, feelings and perceptions are the only things that exist? Think again. -
If you have trouble keeping up, try slowing it down People who complain about too many notes usually just struggle with hearing all the notes. What Guthrie is playing is the cream of the crop in terms of creativity.

I bet that if you were to take all the big contemporary mystics and screen them for psychiatric illnesses, the ratio of people with psychotic illnesses would be the same or less than the rest of the population.

What are you doing? lol

That's great, and I believe you know how to draw a general distinction between those types of experiences and psychotic symptoms (e.g. the positive/negative symptoms of schizophrenia or the symptoms of bipolar mania). It's important to be realistic about these things. People like Sadhguru, Rupert Spira and Eckhart Tolle are not schizophrenics. They're mystics. You can have schizophrenic mystics and non-schizophrenic mystics.

@blankisomeone It's good to take breaks between trips, because the drug will have a weaker effect when taken regularly.
