A sign of development is not "I can't adapt to you — you have to adapt to me". You're choosing to participate in a community, and a community has people in it, and people require and deserve respect. This is not me repeating some non-dual aphorism — this is actually true: people's reaction to you is something you are creating, and it's all your responsibility. Find your internal block function and use it. You can make complicated arguments for or against being a jerk for eternity. But sometimes, the simplest and wisest thing might just be to not be a jerk.

Do you think people generally perceive you as a bit of an asshole? Instead of offloading responsibility to your MBTI type or SD, do you think that is something you can work on?

If you had your facts straight, the people got banned for inviting people to the new forum, not for being assholes. That is just you projecting your fears of being banned (ironically for being an asshole).

I don't "hate" them. I'm critical of them, just like I'm critical of these guys. I watched his documentary god damn it ? I think Hancock's claims are very grandiose. It blows somebody like MrGirl out of the water. I'm still very interested in what he his investigating though. It's mainly the methods (and probably motives) that I have problems with.

You picked the least likely people where that would be the main culprit. Destiny and MrGirl understand each other pretty well. It's mainly a difference in values, motives, personalities, life stories, happenstance (I'm doing a Danioover now ); just bias. It's not impossible to have two very bright individuals trapped in a tense situation where they feel like drawing swords. That's just how survival goes.
