  1. I put down Leo as one of my three people for question 33. With the Beware of False Prophets episode in mind (not that he is one), do you guys have any similar thinkers like Leo? @Leo Gura feel free to answer as well. I haven’t quite found anyone with the “my mind is my artwork” kind of approach. It’s like a blend of Personal Development, spirituality, philosophy, logic and creativity.
  2. Hey Leo - you mention every now and again the concept of self interest in relationships/interpersonal interactions. I would love to learn more about the ins and outs of how we approach our friends and family in manipulative ways. Could you do something that covers how we subconsciously manipulate people to suit our own ends, rather than interacting with them for who they are?
  3. Bumping this. A video on NLP techniques and general PD strategy for NLP would be SO awesome!
  4. Just starting to grasp the theory behind Enlightenment. Leo said in one of his videos that all is one, all that has and ever will be. Does this mean I will eventually/have already experienced a whole load of pain? Like people who've been tortured, burned alive etc? Naturally this concerns me... help!
  5. @lucas_darby no problemo. These were among the foundational videos that led me to pull myself out of my depression [and subsequently my head from my ass]
  6. Don't stop investigating the deeper layers of life
  7. @lucas_darby sounds like paralysis by analysis to me. You need to take more action. Don't expect instant results. Push through with consistent, deliberate self actualizing work. Journal your thoughts on your results. After 6 weeks or so if you don't see any hard results change up strategy
  8. @Ryan_047 you're thinking about this the wrong way. That's not a limiting belief. That's actually exactly what you should be thinking. You don't deserve anything! Expecting that you deserve anything is being a victim. Realize that everything is in your control. https://www.actualized.org/articles/how-to-stop-being-a-victim https://www.actualized.org/articles/understanding-responsibility-vs-blame ugotdis bro
  9. @egoless @Leo Gura @RichardY @Elisabeth @In Progress Hard to beat Age of Empires. Best one is Age of Empires II The Conquerors expansion set.
  10. @Shakazulu I highly recommend doing this. Getting a firmer grip on how music works will skyrocket your creativity. Don't think of it as something separate from song writing it. Incorporate it as a component of your mastery craft.
  11. @Leo Gura I second this! You would go beast mode on these people!!! Again though, not worth your time probably. They aren't open minded like us ?
  12. @Socrates @SOUL @MM1988 @Serotoninluv @Leo Gura Great conversation guys, but let's not forget (even you Leo!) that we must be responsible Pyrrhonists here... Let's not hold any beliefs and use the power of BOTH Philosophy AND Science to further enrich our experience of life! Some scientists place insufficient focus on the connection or lack thereof between neural activity and consciousness/experience. Deepak reveals this in the video post by Socrates. But let's not forget that it was good old mathematics [ancient Mesopotamian farmers' discovery of geometry] that really jumpstarted our investigation into the meaning of the Universe's mystical order, the self, cognition. Heyyy this is Leo-Leo is much less critical of science than Blog-Leo. Hey Blog-Leo, keep that mind open man! Wouldn't Phyrrho mark us down for closing our minds off to the possibility that science, proceeding as it is, could actually help humanity acheive planetary enlightenment?
  13. Sadly, I think Michio Kaku may also belong to this list?
  14. @Leo Gura "I" think I'm understanding "you" now. Instead of the mind being the only certain thing, the solipsist should see Experience as the only thing/everything. P.S. I recognize that I'm 'should-ing' here. Ma bad!
  15. @Leo Gura more radical in the sense that non-duality proposes an "All is One" mentality right? Whereas solipsism stops short of recognizing the unity between perceiver and perceived?
  16. @Russell I think it basically adheres to solipsism yeah. Our experience is all that can be known for certain
  17. @Joseph Maynor what kind of book?
  18. Knock em dead bro! Post your progress on the Life Purpose art thread. You can do it!!
  19. If we are not individuals but nothingness with no free-will, and if the perceiver of all phenomena is nothingness/Existence itself, why are so few human-beings conscious/working to raise their quality of consciousness? Could this simply be a matter of Existence evolving a greater capacity for self-observation? Or am I falling prey to an egoic assumption that experience has some kind of significance beyond itself?
  20. getting excited. Guys if you want some prelim material for tomorrow watch this: what kind of mindfuckery are we getting ourselves into now Leo...
  21. UPDATE! Please watch especially 25:45-27:27. #NewAge #Panpsychism #SoFoundational
  22. @TylerW you are still judging yourself. You are not a psychopath. You are pure awareness. Allow yourself to love those thoughts and yourself, unconditionally. Continue to feel fully. You're on the right track man keep it up.
  23. @Leo GuraHey Leo! How about a video concerning linguistics psychology? This might include scientific and philosophical theory for speech/language/expression/communication and how that could help us supercharge our PD results.
  24. Hi y'all - I tried to do some initial research on this but couldn't find anything spot on. I know very little about technology. Is there promising technological work that could somehow help the human brain examine itself? I hope I'm not being too sci-fi here, but I envision brain micro chips that could basically manipulate the host's experience of reality / allow us to self examine in ways never thought possible before. Thoughts?
