Hi, I'm sure there are minimalists on this forum. I'm on my way to becoming one too. Please explain me how minimalism changed your lives, the before/after process. Owning less = less anxiety for me.

Hi, I have an account on a well known porn site where I can select my favourite videos etc.... I realised I've spent a lot of time on it and I know porn is evil anyways for me and in general. So for those who did, how did you completely stop watching porn?

Hi, It's been a while since I've came here. I felt stuck since a while but yesterday I created myself a 3 months challenge. 3 months to save money, write and whatever else. This should let me able to go to Southeast Asia 2 months (then come back again, then do the same over, you know the story). Count every Euro I spend and make a spreadsheet about it Save my Gigabytes from my cellular phone and put the 4g often of (I’m gonna need em) Sell all excess at home to an extreme Put out all the electricity (except the fridge) out when I leave home Make friends (that way I can make a network to stay over at places and not rely too much on my rental apartment. Stop energy drinks, drugs, alcohol Stop jerking of (this will be hard, I know I need the sexual energy to move) Take the bus (free for me) instead of the train. These 3 months are a test, I know it's not clear what I want to obtain right now but I realised I should write it online before it gets lost, I'll edit this topic over and over.

About the no-spending lifestyle, it goes pretty well. I literally avoid spending almost any money. About the no-spending lifestyle, it goes pretty well. I literally avoid spending almost any money.

Thanks I appreciate the faith in my project

I just fapped today but without porn just by remembering an ex

Spent about 9€ today to eat and drink
-
I spent 16€ to my much needed medication for Bipolar Illness today and 4€ for beers since a friend allready paid me some the last days.
-
By the way I extended the project to 7 months. I figured I could as well save money for a longer time to stay longer. The journey seems long, to get rid of those addictions and distractions but it's definitely worth it.

No I’m passed this age of peer pressure but I wouldn’t say hanging out with users helps of course.
-
I did succeed in once again not spending one single € today.
-
It pretty much depends actually, I take em alone, with friends, it really depends. I didn't succeed at staying clean atm (would have been a wonder anyways). Strange thing is I need a cigarette so badly now I got home and am alone, while outside I didn't really need it.

Glad I spent a day without spending a €

Yeah one time someone asked me "Do you ever sleep? Ever?" I'm in Europe so at night I sometimes message american friends or thai friends, both in different timezones
-
Indeed, I've been struggling with all this for many years with big spikes in dependance. Everything is far from great but it has been worse. Oh I forgot another one, messaging and my phone, I litteraly check it 1000 times a day

Several drugs (well I don't use all the time but I have periods of addiction) Women / Sex Alcohol (yes I know it's also a drugs) Smoking (depends on the moments) And yes I'm Bipolar which probably explains a lot. Trying to fix all this shit

;It's indeed not the end of the world (since I have many addictions to deal with) but it needs to be adressed
-
Interesting, well I supposes noticing the problem is already a step forward. I'll see how I react to that craving.

I finally found a buyer for my Apple Watch, I feel a little lighter right now. It's crazy how much time it can take to get rid of things.
-
True, let's stay ontopic, those are 2 very different subjects.
-
Aren't you overthinking this perhaps? I would say try and find out.
-
I'm not completely grasping what you are trying to say here. I personally don't plan on being a "Hardcore" minimalist and only pursue that as a "goal", nevertheless I think getting advice from hardcore minimalists is still good, you just don't have to follow everything they do but just make your own thinking.

I was looking some youtube videos about why the apple watch should be sold (I'm putting it for sale right now) and I found this video which is pretty inspiring.

Interesting Joseph Maynor, what I experience is that the road to minimalism takes much time and effort. Subconsciously I suppose I still want stuff so that makes it hard but I'm progressing really quickly. I also realised one thing, lot's of people go through a process that I would call "Maximalism Rage", I did too. I wanted all my stuff to disappear so I could feel better.
