  1. @brovakhiinSo you say if a guy starts working out and reads about psychological manipulation of women, completely discarding his true self, trying to force his personality in the social circle of nightlife, because his only purpose is to hump as many other humans sexual organs as possible for the pleasure created by this act by the brain, this is the most powerful self-actualization? wow
  2. Oh yes. Again, do you want a girl who loves YOU or do you want a girl who loves your STATUS, MONEY, JOB, ?
  3. Hey, First of all I work within the same industry, be careful that they don´t use you to much (like all the 21y old audit interns at deloitte). There are 3 things you can do. 1. Continue to focus on yourself (by which you mean your career & health and hobbies I assume), get lucky and find a good girl or don´t. Note that there is no perfect match. Note also that if you come into a relationship wanting something from the other person, dependency is built up and it will end badly. You can either build your kingdom and set the women on top or you find a women to grow a kingdom with. Its up to you, note that the first option leaves room for a lot of bad bitches and gold diggers. Second is rare. 2. Ask yourself why do you want A family, a home, and a successful job. Dig deeper into spirituality, Zen and non duality. This might lead to a paradigm shift inside you and can be dangerous for your career and focus. It might open you up, and you thus meet girls which are not so materialistic either and care about real connections (I assume you are looking for character). It also might make you very happy with very little which can be disturbing for your social circle (I assume its build around competitive friends and proud parents). 3. Start chasing girls, maybe get into PU. You´ll be able to have sex with girls. Note that the kind of wife you are looking for, would she waste her time in a club? Dancing with random guys and hooking up? Probably not. So you chase and chase and fuck and fuck and get more and more frustrated. Look at the misery which those people live in. Alternatively, you are lucky and find the right girl in a club. So what to choose? 1. Will bring guaranteed return (like a treasury bond), if you can wait until maturity (let it be another 6 years) it is likely that you find a girl along the way if you are not shy. If not, you still have a successful career (which is one thing on your list) and a home (which is the other). 2. This is the heroes journey, awakening, nothing for people who are not serious about it, requires a lot of work, a lot of distress, high level of intelligence. The reward is a deeper understanding of reality (if you strive for this then go). The risk is a disconnect from society (in which all your pursuit of happyness is embedded at the moment). Note that even with family, successful job and house you might want more and more and more, your job might be so demanding that your family is not happy or vise versa. Balancing everything can be quite exhausting. If you work longer in finance, you will see all kinds of married guys who are dead unhappy and feel guilty for fucking japanese hookers every two months on business trip. But that´s the negative side, there are also guys who can handle both, where the wife is also working a lot and the kids are very independent or there is a filipino nanny in the house 24/7. 3. Well this is like binary options. Ultimately the brokerage (in this case the club) wins because you spend your money on expensive drinks betting the unlikely bet of finding your dream girl while dancing to trap house , you might get lucky and get the girl or you get a margin call since you spend to much time chasing women and to less caring about your body and health or job.
  4. @Nahm Yes Of course the wave is part of the ocean, realizing it or not. Still you either perceive from the PoV of a wave (your seperate self) even if you know the truth, or you perceive as the ocean (unity, infintiy, god). Thus can you be wave and ocean at the same time? No you are either. Can you be god and a human consciousness at the same time? You cant. Yes you are part of the infinite but in knowing or not knowing, you are still seperate. Thus I´d say you are not god but part of it. (By god I refer to everything there is) If you perceive infinity and still can focus on writing in this forum, I´ll bow before your wisdom.
  5. Who is in the moment? See that you chase your own tail
  6. You can realize without "dying". To dissolve the ego it takes 5meo or other practices and it is not a permanent state. @egoless yes, thank you. @Nahm How can you be the wave and the ocean at the same time? This turns into a debate about beliefs while awakening presupposes that you LET GO OF ALL BELIEFS. As Alan Watts said " Everything is falling with you, you can clinge to something but it will ultimately decay as you will".
  7. You are aware. Isnt it that your environment is fully there, no matter if you know or dont know? So what changed that makes you frightful?
  8. @gleb What you describe sounds like a Zen disciple who is really trying and trying and digging and digging. Its good! Go on until you see. You´ll burst out laughing.
  9. so If you really believe in it you will turn your water into wine and the sun will never set again?Good luck Buddha smiles because he knows how silly he was. Listen to this and your questions will be answered:
  10. @Torkys offtopic: Could you give a link (if available) for the yinyang picture of yours? It is great How did the rewriting go?
  11. Thank you for your answer. See that everything you say has a valid point. Notice that the teaching and the religion are a different thing as the religion is a man-made institution which is built upon the teaching. No one is to judge wheter Mohammed was a corrupt teacher or not. Enlightenment is not a constant state (might be achievable in the solitude of a monastery). See that most gurus take their insight to cash in. This includes Leo Gura! The key-point of the video imo is that all teaching point to the same.
  12. Ask yourself: Who is afraid? Who is about to become enlightenment? Who is/was trying to push thoughts aside? Who is trying to allow everything? Can you find the "who" ?
  13. How do you do it with significant others? I caught myself recently trying to explain someone I date that she doesnt exist and was quite irritated at myself for trying. It is also this realization how far youve got with this work that you are so far away from separation and attachement. It becomes ahrd to function in society. (Leo may think about making a life purpose video after awakening).
  14. actual advise from someone who had it from ons to marriage, be yourself. Shut the fuck up about pickup, it is 100% for materialistic ego driven nutsacks who are to dysfunctional to enter in any sort of relationship (sorry SFRL). What is "being yourself"? Spirituality & Humbleness about what little unimportant f*ck you are.
  15. music is distraction for a weak mind to handle the pressure.
  16. I feel the older we get, the faster a year passes by, the harder it is to stay on track with what you´d like to be because you get caught up in deadlines, responsibilities and work (especially as an employee) which only utlizes a small part of your full potential. Now, I see that full acceptance is one way to cope with that. On the other hand I think that most stories end where faith is accepted. In fact It seems to me that life is always pulling you towards acceptance and surrender while keeping hustling, keeping on fighting and trying despite the hits in the face you get, is what leaves a chance to a "better" life. (All above from a materialist and practical standpoint of the Ego). How do you deal with aging, how do you deal with that you left the stages of your life where you could fuck around and if it gets really bad you move in back with your parents. How to embrace this fact of being ultimately alone and battling for survival is what life is like and will be until you die?
  17. Enlightenment means to see that the "I" of your story is not the origin of the perception but a feature of experience itself. Thus the mere experience includes the perception of an "I" but you are the instance which has the experience.
  18. true. yes I see this. Nevertheless the "I" in the story has the pressure to act to make the overall story more pleasent. Even with complete detachement I´d need to find a house and garden to get food, water and shelter somehow. Being in the "Observer-mode" (so realizing the existence of the I as one aspect of reality) is a luxury as it requires the first 2 bottoms of the Maslows pyramid to be cleared.
  19. @Leo Gura Don´t you understand that whatever beliefs in you formed by 5meo induced experiences of what you call "infinity/god" are within your experience, within your consciousness because YOU experienced them. Muho is exactly on point when he says "There is something beyond "this", which is god. You can not even express "this", how can you explain what goes beyond "this"? When you say we are all one consciousness, interacting with each other, you not only make assumptions about all the other "this" in existing, you neglect that the connection between consciousness of many "this" can NOT BE WITHIN YOUR EXPERIENCE, so it must lay outside of consciousness. Concluding "all there is is one consciousness" is an invalid claim. "But UDT you are so stupid you dont understand it, its like explaining maths to a squirrel" is not an argument, its you falling trap to your own beliefs. Additionally it has to be said that while I am arguing your position, I do not aim to attack your ego. Psychedlics alter the experience, the one (note I do not refer to the ego with this) who experiences stays constant. There is no looking behind that.
  20. @Joseph Maynor I dont see why awareness is aware while the body-mind is asleep. There is no evidence for that besides "just believing" that awareness can be aware of nothing thus you are not aware of it. But that´s just an unproven hypothesis. No exeprience nor book can tell you if its true or false. Can you change my mind?
  21. "Awareness cannot exist in isolation, awareness is always awareness of something. That is not to say that the awareness and the "something" are separate. Have you ever experienced awareness with no object? "Are you aware right now?" Of course we answer, "Yes", because when we examine our own experience in this moment we find that we are aware of our thoughts, sensations and perceptions. It is impossible to totally exclude awareness of these things unless we are in deep sleep (or unconsciousness) in which case we literally cease to be Ask a person (or yourself) in deep sleep if they are aware and you will get no reply. So from our personal experience we cannot say, "I am awareness.", as Enlightenment Theory does. All we can say is that awareness (which necessarily includes, and is not separate from, what one is aware of) is arising. The correct conclusion from the experience of awareness (enlightenment) is not that, "I am awareness" it is that awareness is arising here. There is no "I", no person who is aware. However, the awareness that arises is finite and localised. Again our experience tells us this, when I stub my toe, you do not cry out in pain because you are obviously not aware of my thoughts, sensations and perceptions. What then is the locus of our awareness, around what does it cluster? We know that the body changes as time passes, it regenerates, so we literally do not have the same body now that we did as a child, so we cannot claim that the locus of awareness is the body, nor can we claim that it is the even more transient thoughts, sensations and perceptions, which constitute experience. The locus of awareness is in fact a biological organism, this is what you are, a human biological organism and you are the same organism throughout your life. Your awareness is contingent upon the existence of this particular biological organism. The awareness of what you habitually refer to as your experience depends upon the existence of that particular specific biological entity. Without a living conscious being there can be no awareness and living conscious beings are finite, they are born and they die and the unique and specific awareness that originates with them is born and dies too." - from under https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T9AKvZgKfv8
  22. @Monkey-man exactly. There is no drive for sex, why should it differ what´s on the screen?
  23. 100%. But I belive relationships necessarily change after enlightenment / realization
