To say that mutations are intelligent is a simple Survivorship Bias, but in the end the question about it being an intelligent process or yielding intelligent results is trivial when looking at the thing as a whole -

For them not existing, they seem to be insanely consistent, describable, and predictable illusions -
@Leo Gura Isn't saying "I'm not the mind" or "I'm not the body" not just another duality

@Leo Gura Have you ever tripped and just meditated throughout the whole time? I'm thinking about doing this, but I'm not sure whether or not this is a good idea.

Just coming by asking for a good self-inquiry method. Anybody got some experience with neti-neti? -
Eversince my 2 very foundational LSD trips in this years spring I feel completely transformed, in the sense that having this awakening experience but not yet being "enlightened" leaves emotional scars, as it seems to me. I often have these thoughts of being "the only aware" entity in this world, but also I (conceptually) know that this again is just an illusion and solpisism not quite where I want to be with this work. Also this bring this very depressive and lonely vibe to my spiritual work, even though it is "supposed" to be or lead to bliss. I know this sounds like something an egotistical self would say, but my question is, how to overcome this phase? There certainly is something big I'm missing.

@ADD Sounds good, did you personally do any specific type of meditation, something close to self-inquiry? I myself have now been able to succesfully stick to a daily 1hr meditation habit, but nothing more besides that. (I didn't do that at the time I was tripping, which might have shaped the experience a little more to the negative than one might wish) -
Jesus, just reading this. Literally me at the moment. Apart from tiny details I'm in the exact same situation. Wish you the best of luck man, keep up the practices and habits.

A perspective to look at yourself indeeed is as an outcome of a genetic algorithm. You are iteration #5,192,172,182,421. In terrms of that system your worth or your value is determined only by your capability to reproduce. As a self-actualizing person your goal or one out of many is freeing yourself from the shackles of your genetic serfdom. Don't be a slave to your genes and start acting in your own self interest. Society of course doesn't want you to do that, so it will stigmatize your behavior and you will end up believing the story it's telling you (like you have already stated in your post). But it itself it just an outcome or rather an emergent property of said algorithm. Try to understand now what some years down the road will be obvious to you: It doesn't matter, be yourself and stay on the journey of self-actualization.

There was something about the episode from 2 weeks ago that struck me, and I actually started looking up stuff I took for granted. The very first thing that came to my mind was sound or rather how we perceive sound. It's very trivial, but seriously, where does sound even take place? It's some kind of spacial illusion, that suggestes that there is a "place" in the head where hearing takes place. But then I realized that all human experience has this illusory nature of "taking place" somewhere. Dno if that fits in here, but it's an experience very easy to reproduce and I would recommend everyone just listening to a piece of music and inquire where the hell this sound is coming from. (For me it was this particular video :^) )

It's strange, when I try to put something in my visual field without closing my eyes, I, or rather my eyes tend to wander around. The mental image and the visual experience don't really overlap as if they were completely separated. -

Yeah, I was thinking something very similarly. Also, when looking at the brain as some kind of computer I think that all kind of information, and by that I mean encoded sensory experience, is of the same kind or format and just interpreted differently. (I have no evidence for that at all)
