Well I want to do many things long term, but as for the moment right now I just want to experience what it means to work in an engineering firm. Specifically, either the automotive industry or work related to infrastructure. My list for long term pursuits is longer than my short term. Really the ultimate thing I would like to do though is offer assistance to underdeveloped nations with their infrastructure concerns and allow them to integrate their own culture with the technology that I would offer. I don't see success based on money, but I see success when people around me are happy. Basically, my preference is based on quality over quantity. I also like writing which is quite a rarity with most people that want to be engineers. I hope this offers some insight on the type of person I am.- 11 replies

Pola, a woman did the same thing to me a couple years back over an incident which we treated as big a deal. Over a course of time I began to realize the incident wasn't really as big as we had made it seem. I guess my ego had got to the best of me. About a month ago, I made a decision to be the better man and fix what had been broken for quite some time because I felt as though it was the right thing to do and also because I noticed she had been trying to make attempts to catch my attention. This decision I made was not coming from the heart or my mind, but from my soul which to me means to make a union of both the heart and the mind when making choices in life. As for me, I'm really trying to understand her not from square one but from where we left off before the incident had happened. Not as partners in love, but understanding her as a person and what she wants to do in life. I want to be the person she can turn to if she ever needs any help which is as much as I can ask for right now. As for you, don't really try to have the goal of getting him back. Rather let him make the moves and you respond as casually as possible. I don't know if the guy is like me or not, but I'm assuming he was trying to restore what is broken for now. Yet things have the possibility of changing as time goes on.

Well from a personal point of view, if a person wants to masturbate then by all means they can. However, in a social and productivity point of view I feel as though it might be hindering to oneself. So much time can be spent just for instant pleasure through this act, but this time can be used for many other things which offer long lasting memories. Also I think if a person were to continuously masturbate they will feel detached to the initial feeling they had when they first started and can have an effect when performing intercourse with a spouse or partner. Also this can lead to treating a significant other as a means to an end or an object rather than a person with emotive responses.

Hey everyone and thanks Leo for providing this forum for us to express ourselves! A certain issue which I'm currently facing is finding work to start my career path. I study mechanical engineering and I have been attending my university's career fairs since freshman year of college. How can I distinguish myself from other students? I am part of many organizations on campus and have my own blog which I have been running for about a year now. I feel as though finding a well paying job is like a lottery these days where employers pick out resumes and applications out of a hat. I would like some suggestions if I should try to find a part time job in a local shop which is not quite related to engineering or just continue waiting and applying to as many companies as I can and let luck play its course?
