Alright, The reason I wanted to discuss this was dew to the thought Can originally the core purpose of namaz be enlightenment? -

Yes, but majority of your thoughts will come initially rather than later when you are deep in meditation. -

Yeah, that is why I stated that if someone is aware of self enlightenment like we are and then perform it, and only then can it be classified as yoga? a means for enlightenment? The way most people pray namaz is bs, they just go and recite words of arabic language which they do not understand while probably thinking about their to do list, and also they perform it from the act of duty rather than love. Instead of freedom, they do it out of order, and this really act against itself, doesn't it. As well as it is a task for them, in which they rush and rush out. What, I really dislike as being a muslim and being raised to be told to do this or to do that, or else it is a sin, or else I am bad, etc etc is that people are performing the religion out of duty than love, to save their asses from hell lol, and that is egoistic in itself and so so so wrong. -

https://www.simplypsychology.org/psyche.html Check this to understand ego, superego and id and there relationship. Another thing, I notice is you really aim for perfectionism, dont you? Either you want to be a badass noble, or a total badass dan bilzaerian. Sometimes, you are like I should be like bhudda and sometimes that bald guy in the porn industry lol ( just metaphor ) Why chase two end extreme? either all the way to north or all the way to south? Be realistic, understand yourself and figure out "why" then "what" About Me : I like enlightenment, but I have values about protecting and providing for my family. This life might be illusion but I say fuck it, if this is video game in which I have someone called "mom" with what she has done, imma make it good for her and also care about what she want than just myself. So, I am designing my life in such a way that can fit both the framework. I want to work hard materialistically right now, build income streams and then later, be more serious about awakening. -

This is pretty much it You are confused between choosing value or desires, and the truth is both are part of you. You can follow your desires and will feel "guilt" because you are not living on your values. Or, you can follow your values and feel "hollowness" beause your desires are not fullfilled. The thing is, you can to work on your desires, and figure out rlly "why" do you want what you want, what does it make you feel like? Its funny, how healthy food will make you feel way great than what non healthy food make you feel right now. And you will be like, fuck I do not want to keep eating, its shite. You need to learn alot now, do you follow leo videos or read self help? -

When, I tell myself not to be afraid, I do not tell myself that I am not afraid, fuck I am afraid but I want to do it. I accept things as they are, yes I am afraid but I do realize I want to do something and I gotta do it too. I do resonate with what you mean by your definition of being authentic, and I do agree with it. The thing is, you are looking for meaning of a word that is abstract. And, with concept like these, I guess everyone will have their own understanding and therefore their own definition, which will be very true and authentic to them, so there wouldn't be a unity that this is it, this is what it means. But, guess there will be some core elements, like as you said simply accept things as they are without hinding them or covering them. I am focusing on the "feeling" you will get out of this, I think being authentic is more about "feeling" then defination. What you will feel is a flow inside of yourself, ease, no tension and this is what I would too, so I guess being authentic is the feeling of having that ease and flow of life -

Just don't sweat it, understand we have build destructive patterns for our own body and health. I would highly suggest you that you do not change everything all of a sudden, dew to "homeostasis" basically our body wants to maintain our regular patterns, it does not know they are good or bad but that it seeks to maintain them, and when we try to build new habits, our body act against them and there is resistance. So, what happens when you try to change everything all of a sudden, the resistance is massive and therefore requires alot of energy and willpower, and since you have bad habits you lack those, therefore it becomes impossible to get out of them. So, I started focusing on one habit at a time, if you do not know about habits, how they are formed and how do they function, they do read about them. Understanding the relationship btw habits and willpower. And work your way with one habit at a time, for example sleep and wake up on a time but be consistent for a month or so. Then move to next. Also, you can go for general test, see if your lacking any vitamins and stuff. Just dont do too much, if legs are feeling heavy right now, dont walk, okay you should feel fine in a week or so, then just walk for what you feel comfortable in, do not try to out do yourself and waste willpower. easy does it -

Good, I have experience of this and I myself is recovering. I was trapped in bad habit loops, I was in trauma, so depressed and anxiety ruled me, my body used to shake on its own, there was no peace, I use to smoke ciggarets for stress, anti depressants and shit, eat shit tons of food to feel good, which made me super fat and made situation worse, furthermore I also used to masterbate excessively again to feel good, all these habits drained me. And yeah, no sleep too and no work. Until, I educated myself and started working, things are getting better now, masterbating and not getting good sleep was probably the most important factors that were contributing to my lack of energy, and you should walk a bit too -

@Vignan Checkout study skills for this, there is a great series on youtube on the channel called "crash course" and I think relaxation and concentration exercise will definitely boost your learning capacity. Also, learn about critical thinking, this is where you actually learn don't just read and learn that, learn to think about what you read, question it, question it more and try to find answers yourself with your current level of understanding of that subject, this will really help, trust me. It is important to learn the core concepts, and branch out rest of the learning. And learning yoga will help you, listen, look at human anatomy and health with scientific models and also through yoga understanding. This might give you an edge? -

Its just been 10 days, give it time and I think your doing it right. Thoughts will keep on coming, you cant change your years and years of thinking habits in 10 days, as thoughts will come, notice them and let them go, just try not to start thinking and digging into them, let them come, watch them, observe them, and let them go. Bonus, I use to do that and some thoughts were super important for my life, a calling to myself that something is to be looked at, so I kept a pad with me, and often in the middle use to write them down and tell myself that I will look at them later, this helped me not to get those thoughts again and again. -

I think, Authentic is genuine, the completely pure you and that would be true self which is no self, that is what I would say absolute authentic. And, when people say live an authentic life, then they are telling be true to your own self, what do you want, do that. This means chasing your dreams, following your values. That means living a life of not affected by fear or others judgement but on your own terms for your inner desires. That is close to being absolute authentic. -

Exactly, all hail business and trade that has been major dominating activity that led to building travel routes and making people overcome the fear of each other, otherwise like you said people that do not belong to your group are nothing but like wild wolf, dangerous. @Leo Gura Thank you for the insight, you really connected some dots there. -

I have been researching and trying to design my life from every element, and I was seriously considering yoga to be the main form of technique for mind, emotion and body health as well as awakening. Just got the book list, and time to start yoga Though, I am a beginner, I would like to integrate hatha yoga and then perform kriya yoga. I read somewhere that performing hatha yoga is kinda like warm up for performing kriya yoga and since I would like to maintain my body through yoga as well, I think it would be good choice. Now, I just need one book on hatha yoga that I can integrate with the book of kriya yoga suggested by leo. Any help guys?

I am skeptical and confused about various practices but not yoga or spirituality itself. I know, I will be alright after giving it time, reading, experience and practice. I am definite that I want to do it, unsure about exactly what given the enormous amount of options and the direction were I want to take my life to. -
I am looking to integrate yoga for health benefits to body, mind, emotions. To purify my chakras, release tension, build energy and stay fit. And lastly, for awakening. ( Though this is not a urgency, What I want is to build a regular habit of yoga 60 min for health benefits primarily, then awakening as secondary) So my questions is, Would Kriya yoga be enough for all of my primary health related needs? Or, do I need to integrate hatha yoga into the practice? If so, then can anyone suggest a book on hatha yoga practice that I can integrate with leo mentioned kriya yoga practice book? The following are the book I searched as being most popular yoga books, which one you guys suggest for my needs? - Yoga Sutras by Patanjali - Light On Yoga By B.K.S. Iyengar - Yoga Anamoty Leslie Kaminoff - The Heart Of Yoga by T.K.V. Desikacher - Yoga By Eric Schiffan

I have been watching his videos on and off, and have read his book "Inner Engineering", I am a very skeptic guy and it really takes alot to convice me of something, this is probably why I have started to follow you. As, I realized that you don't buy things at face value even though if it is shinning brighter than gold, you investigate various sources and contents on a common topic before forming your conclusions, thats what really draws me to respect you. Well, if you vouch for this guy then I will attend one of his program in the coming months.
