@Leo Gura I think from the amount of demand on dating advice from your audience you'd for sure make millions if you'd release some "conscious mating" course with principles\techniques. Just a funny idea to entertain. (Although, I believe, you'd be a super good conscious dating advice guru, probably #1).

It can be risky to go full business (freelance is a business) right off the bat as you don't have marketing\business and probably marketable skills to do it properly. I suggest good solution would be to just take a part time job and work on your marketable skills + business skills on your spare time to slowly graduate to being self-employed.

You are right only if you yourself make it this way. Why do you choose clients with shit products? Why do you do superficial pitching instead of going deep? You compromise your ethics and morale yourself, my man, by choosing to work with such a clientele. I bet you realize there is a bunch of companies who need the copywriting talent to sell way higher consciousness stuff (like Vegan health products or good legit education programs), or, at least they sell something fairly neutral and appear fairly neutral, like some software companies that solve problems that make people's lives easier - like some mapping software or the accounting software. They all need marketing and they don't generally sell you crap and try to make it appear like a candy. They solve true problems that annoy people. With freelance business and business in general, one of the most important things is your positioning and your niche. You typically benefit a ton from going more niche, by specializing on certain services and serving a certain segment of the market, instead of doing "everything for everybody". I suggest you to think about what you want to do and for whom and then, make a decision.

Think about the end consumer of your content and how you can create value for him. All else is a distraction.

Why do you have to choose between skill development and personal development? You can't really go far nor make a quality product\content without skills. And these 2 are actually incomparable. Personal development INCLUDES skill development and skill development is an essential part of it. I've been having this mistake for a long time and it costed me a lot of unresultivness. Results come when you develop your skills and are able to make valuable shit for someone, then the magic occurs. Just rehashing self-development personal material won't really get you anywhere
