  1. @Drake72 What makes you think that you're limited to this body or you are that body? What makes you think that you can die? What makes my authority of proving anything to you any valid to your experience? How will you know that my proofs will be valid (if I provide any), what criteria will you use to judge them?
  2. @Drake72 Ok, that's a cool definition. But what makes you think you're separate from God and you yourself isn't God? or that Leo isn't God? What arguments/beliefs come to mind that oppose that pov?
  3. @toocrazytobecrazy You think Leo is playing games with you, but he doesn't. He merely points you to a place where your human logic doesn't work (yet at the same time it can work here), nor any of your human concepts (although it can include them). The topic of a discussion is a super limitless thing and you just can't refer to it fully with the limited things such as words and concepts, all labels and explanations will always be partial and won't do full justice. They can work only as pointers, not as a thing itself. To eat a mango you have to go and experience it for your yourself, not just smell the slices or ask a friend/read a book about it
  4. @Drake72 99% of people in these retreats are not serious at all, just like people who consider themselves Buddhists or those who go to the conventional church. If you have an Abrahamic religious background from your childhood (Christianity, Islam, Jedaiusm) and have some direct experience in that, try to see/remember, how many people were actually serious about getting to know God? Or, at least, how many of them were actually serious about being a good christian/muslim/jew? In my experience - not so many I found that these retreats serve just the same function as religion but in a bit better and more non-dogmatic way. They basically help total beginners and people who are lost to find some sense of meaning, belonging and "being on the right path". People care much more about "practical" effects of their "practice" than seeking the truth. And because of this they miss a big fish in a favor of small one. The genuine pursuit of truth would change their practicality x100000 to the better in comparison to the small gains they have now. But then they would actually need to go and do stuff which is not very comfortable
  5. @electroBeam What do you mean by a "Jhana type"?
  6. @soos_mite_ah What? What could it possibly be?
  7. @Don Wei What is perfection? Who decides what is perfect?
  8. @hyruga What is wrong with Hitler going to heaven, bro?
  9. So relatable. Typical stage green/orange girls
  10. You focus on the wrong things, you need to rethink which things are ACTUALLY the most important in this pursuit. And then, focus on mastering those. Works in every skill, really, even in meditation. You basically need to distinguish between the fundamental stuff and the fluff. I will hint you, one of the most important things here is the buildup of your attraction levels. If you manage to charm her very intensely, she might sleep with you on the first date/very early and be super attracted and "in love" with you. If you fail to do so, she might withdraw sex from you for months (it will also depend heavily depend on your level of self-esteem and self-worth, though).
  11. Yesterday I decided to meditate deeper with the clear intent of accessing higher states of consciousness and concentration. I want to share what happened and maybe you can help me to make sense of my experience. So recently I got this idea of how deepening your consciousness state or concentration ability can accelerate and enhance your consciousness work. I've already developed a fairly good concentration ability (4-6 Jhanas, I think), but this time I tried to go even deeper. I started with one point focus and been there for like 10 minutes, then I managed to expand my perception to a point where I could grasp most of the recurring phenomena with my awareness. It was pretty hard to grasp and perceive ALL phenomena as one object. My body sensations were by far the hardest to unite at this all field. But ultimately I managed to do in and was able to hold pretty much all "worldly" phenomena in my awareness, including body, thoughts, noises, sounds, the whole spaciousness. Basically, EVERYTHING. It felt like a holographic thing and very much like a 360 camera (but with even more dimensionality to it). It was very hard to maintain Then, I started to wonder and shift my awareness on the opposite edge. What is the thing that is not it? What is the opposite of this ever-occurring phenomenon and my subjective experience? What is unchanging? What is beneath? This way, I was able to shift my awareness and detach from the world of phenomena to the NOTHINGNESS. This thing felt like a void, with no qualities what' so ever. Total silence and non-spaciousness. Basically, I tried to sort of ignore every phenomenon and go for the thing that is NOT IT. And here we go, I was able to focus on that No-thingness or formlessness. Surprisingly, it was actually pretty easy to do for me. Experiencing the wholeness of my subjective phenomena was much harder than that. It was a very equanimous and chill state to be at. I, then, started to wonder. What is beneath this "beneath"? Is there such a thing that is both not "experience" and not nothingness at the same time? And oh, man, I was able to travel to that area (with my awareness). It felt like I experienced the true nature of paradox. It felt like it was both the phenomena and nothingness at the same time yet none of these things. It was in constant play with each other. I started to have vivid imagery in my mind of various possible (and impossible) phenomena occurring. This thing felt like INFINITE POTENTIALITY. Like it could take whatever form. It was like a smithery of phenomena. This thing, of course, didn't care about the laws of physics at all (or any laws, for that matter). It was completely LIMITLESS and FREE. And It was although this thing was forever inverting itself inside out. It had some forms, yet it was formless and shape-shifting all the time. Also, it seemed to not care about the concept of time at all. Wildly different things could be happening at the same time. Yet it still had some of this Time quality to it. It seemed although that thing was flexing its powers to me to show me what it can do. Well, I was impressed, to say the least It was super hard to hold my attention there, more difficult than the 2 previous states combines. It was like the sum of my current subjective phenomena multiplied by a factor of x100 or x1000. So, I couldn't really be there for too long as my mind got tired of this Wambo Jambo continuum. So I subsided. But afterglow after all this was amazing. Still experiencing it. Very calm, super equanimous, way less reactive to the world of form yet can appreciate it more. I guess I also feel more content and happy now (in a true eudemonic sense, not in a stimulation sense). Standard meditation stuff. So, is it what you guys experience with psychedelic trips or? Did anyone experience something familiar? I feel like I can relate to Leo Videos on Consciousness way more now (already tried to rewatch the episode on absolute infinity). I think I was able to get to the 6-7-8 Jhanas from these Buddhist models and stay for a bit in 8-9. I plan to develop my concentration skills even more (especially the 6th Jhana, as I seem to have problems with it - grasping on phenomena) and start to self-inquiry from these states as I still seem to be identifying with a human existence @Leo Gura Would be amazing to hear your thoughts on this, if you have time, of course
  12. Damn, makes me wanna go visit that nudist beach in my area
  13. The forum held by Jesus would be a pretty fun read for sure
  14. Nice analysis of this phenomenon!
  15. You have limiting beliefs, bro There are still a shit ton of people on the streets despite COVID doing all kind things. Also, store clerks and various service personal is always here. You can socialize with them, just make sure to wear the mask and take some antioxidants But even if you don't want to risk it in this COVID situation, just buy yourself a nice webcam\mic and socialize with people online. Deliberately go on calls and speak with them.
  16. No. So we don't get the toxic shit like this anywhere. Banning them everywhere is a much nicer alternative to burning them at the stake or beheading like it was just a few centuries ago
  17. So they are basically try to hype out themselves as really cool guys (hot cakes) but inside we know that they have a ton of gluten in them (insecurity, fear, misogyny), enough to take you into a hospital, so you avoid them at all cost, got you metaphor now
  18. Wait, isn't giving out hot cakes actually good? They are yummi Or you mean they are bad because they contain gluten in them? Sorry, I am confused
  19. it's hard to say anything without context, but it might be that you have a bad strategy of going about things and maybe you need to change it
  20. Hi, guys. In Leo's video on stage turquoise (which got deleted from youtube), he mentioned that one of the common traits of stage turquoise people is "supernatural creativity". Did anyone meet/seen a really supernaturally creative person? How is it different from "ordinary" creativity? How does it look like in the real world? How to embody this thing for yourself in your daily life? Let's discuss it and post examples
  21. I think it means a lot of stuff One of the things I assume is that it is about ability to push the existing boundaries way more effectively than ordinary folks. So you get super inventive and your inventions are really on the next level of things. So, we could say, the quality of creations get better. I'm not quite sure about the "Volume" and "Size" aspects of it. Also, I think there is a tendency that stage turquoise creations are ethically/morally better, but it's more about ethical/moral sides of it. The most interesting part is how it's getting done, in my opinion
