  1. I only just got that now (and probably wouldn't have if you hadn't pointed it out), you're clearly getting a lot more jowblobs than me.
  2. What makes you say this? I don't know how anyone could know a thing like that for sure.
  3. Just for future reference (but mostly because I'm an anal nutbag), the word is profundity, not profoundness. Many apologies for my pedantry - it's a sickness, really.
  4. ??? Yep, I reckon you've hit the nail on the head, that's very much the impression I get from listening to him.
  5. Every time I hear Terrence McKenna talk, I just think he sounds like a nasal, self-satisfied douche. I know that's tangential, but I had to get it off my chest.
  6. This is something that's really important if we want to find peace both within ourselves and also in our relationships, so the following video could be very helpful for people who often find themselves being overwhelmed by strong emotions:
  7. Oh, okay. I thought it was some weird gimmick they'd cooked up for Messi specifically, on account of him being one of the all-time greats and this being his last World Cup. Bet he still felt like a bit of a wally though.
  8. I don't know whose idea it was to put Messi in that silly robe thing, but they need shooting, Jesus. Bet he felt a right pranny.
  9. It'll take a superhuman effort from France to win this now, Argentina just look so much hungrier.
  10. I think spirituality can often be used as a way to avoid certain aspects of the human experience, whereas I think what's actually required is to fully embrace it, so I think this is an important video in that regard. I stumbled across this fella's channel 2-3 years back, and he's one of the wisest teachers I've encountered:
  11. I always had a soft spot for the Argies, so I'm hoping God wasn't bullshitting you.
  12. I'm chuffed for Morocco, nice to see an African team in the last eight. Thoroughly deserved, too, they've now kept a clean sheet against Croatia, Belgium, and Spain, they're clearly not to be taken lightly. (Cue an absolute mauling in the quarter-finals, now I've said that. )
  13. I generally do four thirty-minute sessions per day of a type of meditation that I'm not quite sure how to classify - I sit with the sole intention of keeping my body relaxed and still. In other words, in a state of non-resistance; in this state, what had previously been repressed within me (fear, anger, upset, etc.) can gradually arise and release, and energetic blockages in my body can gradually break down. It takes lots of patience and discipline, but I've found it to be extremely potent. The exact amount I meditate for each day can vary, from time to time I shorten sessions or even skip them altogether if I'm feeling a bit fried and feel like I need to ease off. It's important, I feel, to listen to what your body is telling you, rather than trying to push yourself beyond what you can reasonably handle. You have to find the balance between being lazy in your practice and pushing yourself too hard, but it's something that gets easier with time.
