If Trump realizes he is going to lose for sure, his last bit of leverage is that he can cause chaos and violence. He could bargain with democrats that he will leave peacefully if they grant him a pardon. I could see establishment democrats going with it to “bring the country back together” and “to heal”. Establishment democrats are weak republicans. They are mostly interested in the status quo, comfort, their job security and that their corporate donors are happy. -

Part of Trump’s problem will be that he no longer has the power of the presidency. He may try to stay relevant with his own media network and declarations he will run again in 2024, yet he will no longer have loyal sycophants hungry for power. He will no longer have a federal justice department protecting him. And who with power will put their ass on the line to protect Trump? He’s burned all his bridges. Even now, Republicans are distancing themselves from him. The party will move on post-Trump. I don’t think there will be a lot to be gained for Biden and congressional democrats to go after Trump with the federal judicial department and hearings. People want to move on and it may backfire as revenge seeking. Yet I think there will still be lawsuits and legal proceedings. Some Trump-appointed judges may be sympathetic to him, yet I think conservatives are more out to protect the ideology of conservatism and won’t be as motivated to protect the personality of Trump. And I think there is a decent chance Trump becomes toxic to conservatives and they start trying to distance and launder themselves - and gaslight the public with stuff like “I was never a Trump loyalist. I spoke out against Trump years before other republicans in Congress”. -

@Someone here That is a different question. Keep in mind that users cannot see warnings to other users. For all you know, the other user received a warning and told that type of rhetoric is not welcome here (which he was). Like in sports, sometimes “double fouls” are called. -

Intention and impact are factors. For example, a native speaker using a slur with the intention of needling another is a very different context than a non-fluent speaker using the term and unaware it is a slur. When I traveled through S. America, I occasionally used a Spanish term incorrectly, in a way that could have come across as offensive. Yet native speakers knew I was learning Spanish and knew I was not intentionally using the term in an offensive manner. In another context, someone could cloak intention and try to evade accountability by saying “I was just joking”. Context matters. -

“The temple bell stops But the sound keeps coming out of the flowers” -
@Raze Party fatigue has only been a factor after two terms. A president running for re-election has a big incumbency advantage. Yet Trump may be an exception since there seems to be a lot of Trump fatigue after only one term.

Josh Fox explains a pragmatic Green approach. He frames is as progressives can either play defense with Trump another four years or go on offensive against Biden. Using a sports analogy, it's much more likely to score while playing offense than to score while playing defense.

I think Joe is well-liked as well and there are a lot of center-left Democrats. From my observations, I think a lot of Democrats were traumatized by Trump and wanted whoever had the best chance of beating Trump. For decades, Republicans have hung the socialism label on Democrats like a scarlet letter. I also think some self-identifying Democrats didn't see Bernie as a real Democrat, since he is independent. I know Dems that were very leary of him and worried he wouldn't be a Democrat as president. Like you said, they vote identity over policy. I know people that were aligned with Bernie on progressive policy and I was surprised they didn't vote for him in the primary. They would say something like "I've been a democrat my whole life and Biden is a real democrat. Bernie is a good guy, yet he is a not a real democrat". It's weird.

Mika really milks Christie's statement. She goes slow, squeezes and pulls those teets good.

AOC and Bernie have high approval ratings by their fellow Americans. Bernie has been rated the most popular politician in the country on numerous occasions. In the primary, Democrats rated beating Trump as their #1 issue and Bernie had a low level of perceived electability. Fundamental progressive issues like legalizing marijuana, a wealth tax and m4a have majority approval among Americans.

Assumptions and Framing can be fun. . . How do you plan to face your fears of sunsets? Question 1: Why do you fear sunsets if they are harmless to you? Do you fear the dark? Do you fear the sun may never rise again? Question 2: How will you face your fear of sunsets? If you don't face your fear of sunsets, they will continue to haunt you. Does your avoidance of sunsets help you? When creating logical constructs, be mindful of assumptions and framing of the premise. -

I don't know about the head knot thing, yet I'm also a very stiff person and I know a lot about that. Psychedelics haven't helped me with stiffness. I've found Yin Yoga much more effective. Deep tissue pressure point massage also helps, yet it's too expensive for me to do regularly. -

Ime, recognizing something about myself I want to change is half the battle. You remind me. . . for much of my life I was motivated by fear. . . Fear of doing poorly in school, fear of rejection, fear of losing a job and on and on. Yet without fear, I wasn't motivated. I really wanted to be motivated by passion and excitement. Things like creating new things. I spent a lot of effort trying to retrain myself to be intrinsically motivated toward things I felt good about doing.

Even to materialist, the argument that "consistent is real" doesn't hold up to scrutiny. Every time I look at an apple, it is red. The apple is consistently red. Yet scientists have clearly shown that the red color is my imagination. There is no external red color. Yet there it is! As well, the moon is not "consistent". The so-called "moon" is rapidly changing. It's just the imagination of the "moon" that is consistent. It can be perceived very differently. Imagine going to the quantum level. . . What happened to the "moon"? Where did it go? And what time from is "consistent?". If we do a trillion year time lapse the moon is there and then *poof* it's gone! -

@Someone here Gotcha. Existential discussions can be hard to communicate - especially via written text. -

The criteria for what is "real" and what is "dream" is itself made-up. Name me something in "real" life that would be impossible in a dream. One may say "in real life, things are solid". . . And there could be a dream in which things are solid. One may say "There are physical laws in real life, such as gravity". . . And there could be a dream created in which there are physical laws, such as gravity. One may say "There is documented evidence of things that have occurred". . . And there could be a dream created in which there is documented evidence of things that have occurred. -

You said in your videos you've done psychedelics. Once a being does psychedelics, it can no longer claim any of it's subsequent realizations could have been realized without those psychedelics. The mind is no longer a psychedelic virgin. If you've done 5-meo, it's not fair to tell others they can access your sober transcendent states of consciousness without 5-meo use. It would be more fair to say "I've done abc psychedelics, 'X' times. And now I have xyz transcendent consciousness while sober". That is very different than saying "I have xyz transcendent consciousness and psychedelics are unnecessary". It's unfair and misleading telling this to people trying to reach transcendent states of consciousness without ever doing psychedelics. Pyschedelics have profound impacts on the mind, including rewiring the brain long-term through neural plasticity. If you hadn't done psychedelics, your sober mind would be different than the one you have today. -

A trick of a mind. The mind is unaware of what it is unaware of. One indication that a realization has not yet been revealed is the manner of communication. If a person does not speak the language "glefdikov", they don't speak the language "glefdikov" and it is apparent to someone that has experience with "glefdikov". This is evident logically. For example, if someone believes each person is either moral or immoral, they are locked in a binary mindset. If they cannot speak of morality in terms of degrees or relativity - they haven't realized these aspects yet. They can say "I fully understand degrees and relativity of morality", yet that doesn't mean they have understanding. The higher a being evolves, the rarer they encountered another being with 'higher' / 'deeper' awareness. When this happens, it is a goldmine in terms of self-actualization and enlightenment. These encounters are treasures to an explorer. They can reveal new unexplored areas. Imagine exploring the same forest for years and encountering another explorer that says "You haven't been through the cave passage yet, on the other side of the boulder there is a whole new jungle with unique plants and animals. You gotta check it out!!". A genuine seeker of truth for truth's sake would not respond "I already get that jungle". Rather, they would get curious and ask for directions to explore it themself. -

That is one of the three grains of sand you are holding. I don't disagree with that. There is insight and value in that grain of sand. The question is whether the mind thinks That will contract the mind within the grains of sand it holds. Some minds become mesmerized by those grains of sand and become limited. Other minds are curious and want to explore the beach. From my POV, you think you *get* the beach, yet it is only an image in a grain of sand you hold. Notice how the mind is contextualizing this pointer within a grain of sand it already holds. This is distinct form realizing "OMG!!!!!! There is more beach beyond the sand I hold!!!!". This realization is not easy and there can be a high price to pay. Again, it's great to explore grains of sand one holds. Yet perhaps the actual beach hasn't been revealed to you yet. You still seem to be working within concepts and theory (even when you conceptualize about non-concepts and non-theory <= That is still conceptualization and theory. It's great stuff and I think you are sharing some conceptual insights - and that conceptual framework is key to integrated direct experience, yet it is contracted. To me, it seems like you are trying to imagine and conceptualize direct experience - rather than the actual direct experience trying to communicate itself. These are very different orientations. And by "direct experience" I'm not referring to the traditional sense of "experience" simply as feelings and experiential memories. -
In one context, it feels like the brain is functioning properly while on the med. In another context, it is a PED. Both are true. To me, you seem tilted toward the experience of proper functioning and disregarding PED aspects - which can lead to dependency and various side effects. I would be more strategic with it's usage. For example, 20mg IR is a flood to the system and you say it gives you 5 hours of intense focus. Is five hours of intense focus "proper brain functioning"? Very few people can intensely focus for five hours. There are some major alterations in neuronal pathways occurring to turn on a switch of five hour intense focus. That five hour of focus is amphetamine-induced and is not "free". There is a cost to it. I have experience with adderall and ime, I would consider cutting the dose in half and try XR - which gives a slower release. Five hours of intense focus is not normal for a mind. People literally train their mind for years to achieve five hours of intense focus. 10mg of XR would likely bring you to what is actually normal - where you are able to focus yet it takes some effort. Learn how to focus with just a little boost. As well, I would recommend no more than 4-5 times per week to allow the brain to recover. Or perhaps only taking 5mg a few days per week. Or taking Modafinil, rather than adderall, a few days per week. I would also consider adding in coping mechanisms. Over-use of adderall will make the come-downs worse due to dependency. If a mind is on 20mg adderall each day and takes a few days off, the mind and body will be very scattered and lethargic. The person may think "Oh, it's may ADD". Yet much of that scatterdness and lethagy is due to adderall dependency. If a person took three months off, there would still be scatteredness, yet not as dramatic. The side effects of adderall go beyond things like having jitters - for example, alterations in dopamine signaling pathways, the endocrine system and the cardiovascular system. Taking coffee and weed is adding in another drug to mask the side effects of the first drug. It may be working now, yet you may be putting your health at risk in the long-term. Yes, it's fine to meditate on Adderall - yet I would be careful with dependency. I would also consider that ADD is also a gift - IF one can master it. Minds with ADD often jump around a lot. This can be a curse in certain contexts, yet it is a gift in other contexts. If you learn how to control the jumping around, you can use it to make inter-connections of dots in the bigger picture. Yellow level SD stuff. I find it useful to increase focus, energy and productivity. Not much for Self Actualization / Transcendence. Something like Modafinil or psychedelics is better ime.
