  1. @CreamCat That video clip is mind blowing! That’s totally going to happen some day. Come to think of it, don’t we know live in a similar illusionary world? I think the video is adanced AI. 50+ years away
  2. I work at a progressive liberal arts college. An initiative from our diversity committee was recently approved. Professors are now allowed to use up to 20% of class time for “hands-on experiential activities that foster unity and harmony within the community”. Next week, we will be making clay statues of various groups that are marginalized, disadvantaged and underrepresented. We will next paint the statues with paint purchased from developing countries under a fair trade policy (the workers receive liveable wages and have humane working conditions). Next, we will arrange the statues in a way that symbolizes inclusion and equality.
  3. To me, it feels like seeking energy here. You will not find true bliss in the timeline. It can only be found here and now - in whatever is happening in this moment. That’s just one perspective from an empathic Green. You’ll get many different perspectives here.
  4. Looks like you are taking a trip to Blue City ? Send us a postcard!
  5. Yep. Looks like I’ve got to pass through Greenville on my way to Turqoise-land. I’m hanging out with Mother Nature and all her beautiful creatures. Today I made love bracelets for next weekend’s transgender hippy parade. Oh, and the veggie smoothies here are delicious ?. I’ll send a postcard soon. As they like to say here: One love and peace out ✌️ ❤️
  6. @Feel Good It’s not about Joseph. Look inward and observe what’s occuring in the mind-body.
  7. @Joseph Maynor Meet people where they are at.
  8. For sure. It’s so exciting!
  9. Yea, but on the inside he’s a teddy bear. ?
  10. Go for it. KW is brilliant. Study a variety of topics and perspectives. They are all partial truths.
  11. That’s one perspective, yet I’ve never been into grunt work. Another option would be: ”Before enlightenment create the first teleportation machine, after enlightenment create the first teleportation machine” That kind of thing would get my juices flowing.
  12. And teaching genetics is sooo much more fun now that I don’t have to teach it as if it was actually true ?
  13. Science is a great tool. I find it fascinating! I just need to be aware of getting trapped into scientific ideology. Leonardo DaVinci is a great example of a mind that integrated science, art, philosophy, poetry. . .
  14. I find relative thinking to be more fun than logical thinking
  15. When 1st world countries evolve into post-post-modernism, will conservatives of the future be defending post-modernism?
  16. This poetry jam threw me for a loop. I'm much more familiar with literal expression than poetic expression. This performance seems higher up than Orange or Green, yet I can't quite put my finger on it. Perhaps Yellow based on it's nonlinear dynamics? Or is it just a bunch of poetic nonsense?
  17. @arash_pix Spiral Dynamics: Mastering values, leadership and change, by Beck and Cowan.
  18. @see_on_see I can see that too. Most of the dangers he speaks of are not inherent to psychedelics. For example, mis-dosing. Well sure, an individual should do research and take precautions on dosage, yet it's not an inherent danger of psychedelics. As well, I don't think he fully grasps *why* his bad trip was so horrific. He view is that of the ego. Of course, the ego will find ego death horrifying. . .
  19. @Basegodmike My perspective is similar. He seems to view psychedelics relative to the self. I.e. psychedelics can be used by the self for fun or for personal development. Personally, I don't see psychedelics as a good tool for personal development, they are a better tool to dissolve and transcend the self. Imagine how someone would feel using psychedelics to improve their self only to find the psychedelics are dissolving their self. That would totally suck for the self.
  20. @Fuku I just watched Owen's video. To me, it seems like he is in the process of transitioning out of Orange. He speaks about how typical Orange-level pursuits (such as material and fame) won't bring you happiness. To me, it seems like Owen is still processing this within himself. It's almost like he is speaking his processing out loud. Owen seems to be in the process of realizing material and fame pursuits will not solve his problems and will not bring him happiness - and he is sharing his revelations with other men. People in transition stages can resonate with others that are ready to begin transitioning. From my perspective, Owen's message is classic for an Orange to Green transition. Yet, I don't think he is green-centered. He still sees personal development as the solution. His message is focused on how to create a healthier individual to bring yourself happiness. He sees creating a healthy orange identity as the solution for an unhealthy orange identity. Green is about: Empathy with others, social progress, equality for all, multiculturalism, intuition over logic, supporting humanitarian causes, heart-centered communities, socialism. I don't get the sense that Owen has transcended Green or that he even sees Green as the destination. I think he sees development of a healthy Orange personality as the destination. I don't get the impression he is a Green dropping down to Orange to help others transition out of Orange. He is a very interesting character!

@Fuku I count spiritual reading and videos as part of "the work"
  22. @Shadowraix I agree with you about the title. The title is very ideological, yet I did not find the video to be particularly ideological @see_on_see I agree, he has limited awareness outside his own perspective. Yet I do think he is genuine on his personal experience and he doesn't seem like he is trying to tell others how they should live their lives.
  23. Thank you for your thoughts. Yes, I have a desire to feel grounded/settled with a story or map. "Ahh, this is how it is. It makes sense now". As you described, this is one limited perspective. I see how I wanted to make a nice and tidy story about JP and orange/blue. I now take a step back and realize I know very little, that it is more complex than I imagined and there are more sophisticated views that I'm currently unable to grasp. I'm very much a student of yellow and not yet proficient by any means. Regarding JP, it's more important for me to understand modes of thinking and levels of consciousness than categorizing people. It's so easy for attachment and identification to creep in. I'm trying to have a more meta view here. Leaving JP's personality out of it, it seemed like I described a green perspective on the issue and you described what a yellow perspective might look like. I defiantly want to become "fluent" at yellow. Sometimes, it feels like learning a foreign language. Thanks for the Wilber book suggestion. I'm currently reading Spiral Dynamics and look forward to expanding the model in the future.
