I breathed tonight like I’ve never breathed before. The breathing just started breathing itself effortlessly. Fully relaxed flow state. Full body breathing. It was like playing a body instrument. The sensations, energy flow, imagination, pure experience. I was fully present for all of it, it’s much easier to integrate than psychedelics and it isn’t taxing on the body. The lead facilitator now wants to expand and gave permission to share on social media. The group I’m breathing with is called Breath Church (it is non-religious). We meet every night at 6-7pm (New York time, GMT -5) on Zoom. You can learn more and get the zoom link by request below (click “attend”). It’s free. https://breathchurch.carrd.co/ Some sessions have professional facilitators. Each night has a different theme, yet most facilitators give plenty of space to have your own journey. I resonate strongly with a couple facilitators and not so much with a couple others. I resonate most strongly with Sage Rader. He has an amazing life story. Breathwork recently saved his life and he wants to share it with others. Yet he isn’t a new age breather. He is quite the character and can bring me into “The Zone”. He is my favorite facilitator for reaching trans-personal conscious states and he makes breathing fun! He facilitates Sunday and Monday. I also like Erin on Tues/Thurs. She works more at the personal level. If you have any questions, feel free to post in this journal or DM me. I’m Roger and I attend almost every night. So. . . now you know someone there! They are a great supportive, loving group and I hope to see you there!

The Washington Post reports: "Acting homeland security secretary Chad Wolf is stepping down, nine days ahead of President-elect Joe Biden’s inauguration and amid widespread fears about security in the aftermath of the mob attack on the Capitol last week." Who will replace him? Is Trump still making decisions and put in someone worse than Wolf? The guy was never confirmed and, in his defense, shouldn't even be in this position. He seems in way over his head.

I teach in classrooms and can verify that the teacher plays a key role in setting tone and what's acceptable. As a simple example: the first day of class I can say "no phone usage allowed during class", yet a few students WILL test that rule the very first week. If I don't enforce the rule from the very start then most students will be on their cell phones by the second week of classes. That will be the culture. And I can't place all the responsibility on the students. Some of the responsibility falls on my shoulders to enforce the rules and have consequences for repeat offenders. On a bigger scale, Congress can say "No insurrections allowed", yet if that rule isn't enforced and have consequences it will occur again.

This has everyone's attention now. If republicans are complicit and violence breaks out, it will be a really bad look for them. And I think unarmed national guardsmen without body armor might be insufficient. And I don't see a major unified effort to suppress it. To me it seems some republicans, executive officials, police and police unions are sympathetic to the insurrectionists and they can somewhat blend in with their base. If this was foreigners trying to reverse the election results, they would likely oppose it much stronger. Yet since it's internal to MAGA crazies, it's a very different dynamic. I think a lot of U.S. police and security personnel are sympathetic to MAGA. Perhaps a minority, yet enough to undermine the intensity of response.

I meant she hasn't tweeted about "stop the steal" and inflaming tension since the capital riot. Yet, I consider her one of many right-wing figures that contributed to the riot.
-
I haven’t seen twitter retroactively ban anyone based on rhetoric before the capital riot. I noticed that Candice has changed her framing and is now tweeting about big tech companies censoring conservatives. She hasn’t tweeted anything about a rigged election and a need to “stop the steal”. She has 2.6M followers and doesn’t want to lose her platform. This seems like a good example of shifting the Overton Window. It’s acceptable for high profile conservatives to complain about moderation and call for new social media platforms, yet unacceptable to amplify conspiracy theories that inflame and promote riots. As Trump continues to lose flavor, I predict she will pivot away from Trump and toward a rebranding of right wing conservatism.

Good description from a detached observer. This caught me eye: There were also no clear crowd rules imposed for Stop the Steal like there were for all the other protests we have attended. All of the “liberal” protests of the last four years we attended had a long list of things you could not bring that were enforced at the Capitol. At these protests, there were no poles or sticks, no backpacks, no weapons or body armor, etc. There were sometimes security check points to go through to get onto the mall or Capitol grounds. None of these standard rules applied to Stop the Steal. There were poles and flags and backpacks and body armor EVERYWHERE. I imagine that the vast majority of protestors assumed that security and crowd rules would be similar to previous right-wing protests. If they were aware in advance that there would be lax security, they likely would have brought in a lot more weapons. Some may have brought weapons for a feeling of empowerment, show of force and intimidation - yet once in a mob environment some may have used them.

More capital fallout. Forbes gives a warning that they will not trust companies that hire Trump officials. In the wake of Wednesday's attempted coup, Forbes has issued a warning to companies hoping to hire former officials from President Donald Trump's administration. Businesses that choose to hire Trump administration alumni will, the editor said, be held to account. "Forbes will assume that everything your company or firm talks about is a lie," the magazine's editor Randall Lane wrote. https://www.businessinsider.com/dont-hire-former-trump-officials-forbes-editor-warns-businesses-2021-1

Wait until he finds out he also got kicked off Twitter

More capital riot fallout. Trump is losing his flavor. As he faces a lonely end to his presidency, Donald Trump learned Sunday evening that, in the wake of last week's riot at the U.S. Capitol, he has lost one of the relationships he values most: his partnership with the Professional Golfers' Association. "The PGA of America Board of Directors voted tonight to exercise the right to terminate the agreement to play the 2022 PGA Championship at Trump Bedminster," said Jim Richerson, PGA of America president, in a statement. Holding the tournament at Trump Bedminster, Richerson said, would be "detrimental" to the PGA of America's brand and put the organization's ability to function "at risk."

@Ry4n It’s not that simple. I’ll leave it at that since we shouldn’t derail the thread.

I may have been the one to suggest that. Keep in mind that I am referring to a dry herb electric vape set to a suboptimal vaporizing temperature (such as 428 degrees). There will definitely be effects, yet it may be more difficult to reach high breakthrough states. And I’d stop reading terror reports. You don’t want to create a self-fulfilling prophecy. Keep in mind that some people use 5-meo recreationally because it’s so pleasurable. -
I agree in general that that its not fair for TW to compete against CW since they still have several advantages. Yet it’s also not fair to suggest a TW is a guy competing against women. It also depends on timing. If the hormone therapy is before or during puberty it has a much more dramatic effect than after puberty.
-
Using the term “comparable” might not be the most precise. There is a considerable alteration of body fat and lean muscle mass in trans women, yet they still have greater strength, on average, than cis women. Especially during the first year. In most competitive sports, I don’t think it’s fair for TW to compete against CW. Yet it’s also not fair to suggest a TW is a guy competing against women. It also depends on the timing of therapy. Hormonal therapy before or during puberty will have a much more dramatic impact than after puberty. Here is one research article showing biological feminization of TW. https://eje.bioscientifica.com/view/journals/eje/178/2/EJE-17-0496.xml

This isn’t true. Biological men that have transitioned to trans women with testosterone blockers have reduced muscle mass and strength that become comparable to women. Although some studies have shown trans women still retain higher muscle strength - especially during the first 12 months. Yet it’s not fair to assume they still have the muscle mass and strength as a man. However, bone density takes longer to equilibrate and bone structure remains different. For example trans women will have different shoulder and hip structure than cis women. In some sports this could be an unfair advantage due to the physics of leverage - such as throwing a javelin. Yet in other sports, like running, it wouldn’t have much of an advantage. Yet if the bone density hasn’t equilibrated, the trans women could withstand more intense training without certain injuries.

The stress of defending Trump is taking a toll on Kaleigh. Hang in there, just 10 days to go.

Then you love moderation and restrictions on speech. Without guidelines and moderation, the forum wouldn’t be so amazing. It would degrade into a cesspool.

Justice department released a statement that this is fake. If it was real, there would be a $500 “donation” fee payable to “The Save My Ass” foundation. Yet Trump won’t pardon his supporters as he sees them as low class. He might pardon the Zip Tie Guy wearing special ops gear since he looked badass.

If there was an election with actual widespread fraud, it would be important for democracy to expose it and eliminate it. Yet a losing candidate should not be able to make up BS claims of widespread fraud and create an insurrection to overturn a result they don’t like. That is harmful to democracy.
-
That would only support the manufacture of false claims and conspiracy theories. If people can make up any BS unsubstantiated claims they want and get a “thorough forensic investigation” there would be no functioning government. Everyone would be making up BS claims against there adversaries and if every BS claim got a “thorough forensic investigation”, the entire government would spend all there time chasing absurd BS claims. As well, this highlights the importance of moderation / regulation on social media and news. If someone can easily spread misinformation online and convince millions of people of BS and conspiracy theories to the point they are willing to riot and kill people, that becomes a problem. Imagine if you and I had the power to convince 50 million people that people with blue eyes are aliens sent from the planet Xenon. These 50 million gullible people become extremely fearful and angry. After conning them, we fundraise 100s of millions off of them to stop the blue-eyed invasion of America. Then we threaten to harm blue-eyed people and demand “thorough forensic investigations” into whether they are aliens. Yet of course no one brainwashed would accept any evidence that they aren’t alien threats.

As well anyone supportive of MAGA that contradicts any point in the story gets labeled as “deep state” or a traitor. Pence had been 100% supportive of Trump for five years , even through Trump’s most egregious acts. Yet the mob chanted “hang Pence” as they stormed into the capital building.

Trump-appointed judges, Trump’s cyber security team, Trump’s Justice department, Republican election officials and Republican Governors have extensively examined the claims and have unanimously declared there was no widespread fraud. I’m not buying that there was a massive conspiracy within the Republican Party to deny Trump. However, I do acknowledge that there are incidents of fraud in every election and I support measures to prevent fraud as well as voter suppression. It looks like you are still engaging with debunked claims of widespread fraud and conspiracy theories. I’m not.

https://www.buzzfeednews.com/article/zoetillman/trump-election-court-losses-electoral-college Please by mindful of posting debunked claims of widespread fraud and conspiracy theories. Double check what you are see on your social media with a wider range of sources. As described above, claims of widespread fraud has already been extensively examined by Trump-appointed judges, Republican election officials, Republican governors, Trump’s justice department and Trump’s cyber security team. There is unanimous agreement by all Republican officials that claims of widespread fraud are bogus.
-
Trump lost 60 court cases due to lack of evidence. Other cases were considered and dismissed due to baseless conspiracy theories. Trump’s team also tried to take the cases to the wrong courts. For example, the state of Pennsylvania had already ruled against Trump’s claims and the state of Texas then tried to sue the state of Pennsylvania. Texas lacks standing to do that. Trump-appointed judges, Trump’s justice department, Republican state election officials, Republican cyber security officials and Republican governors that voted for Trump unanimously agreed that there was no widespread fraud. As well, Trump’s own law firms dumped him because the claims were frivolous. Of course there were isolated incidents of fraud, as there is in every election. No election is 100% fraud-free. Yet all Republican election officials, Republican justice officials and Republican-appointed judges all free there was no widespread fraud. One would need to create a conspiracy theory to believe all the Republican officials were against Trump. As well, many republicans won elections on the exact same ballots that Trump claims are fraudulent.
