That's one way of looking at it. Yet, be aware that no single perspective is "correct". Each perceptive is merely a pointer. There are many different pointers and it's easy to become attached to a particular pointer. Then, the mind becomes fixated on manipulating and developing the pointer, rather than the direct experience of that which is being pointed to. For example, it would also be "correct" to say that "it" is everything. Thus, reason is "it", since reason is within everything. -

There are still subtle distinctions here. There are no questions or answers when all distinctions collapse. Go prior to the first word, sit and be. As soon as the first word arises, let it go and return prior to the word. -
There are post-logical and nonverbal states of being, communication and explanations. Yet most of society has not evolved or developed those levels of consciousness. I've found that trying to explain the post-rational in rational terms to rationalists is not very effective. A mind needs to be open and willing to explore post-rational areas. Most minds are conditioned to focus on the pointer, not to relax into the direct experience of the ineffable nature of what is being pointed to. The words and concepts are the arm and hand - most minds get immersed in trying to make sense of the arm and hand. Human minds become fixated on the arm/hand pointer. The more words and concepts used, the stronger that fixation becomes. I've found it more effective to use the minimal amount of words and concepts and at times sprinkle in some post-rational essence to throw their logical mind off it's game.

@SoonHei Indeed. That which is sought is not to be found within the timeline. Only here and now. The journey is the goal. The journey is the finish line. Yet, it often takes a lot of seeking for that truth to be revealed in direct experience. With that awareness, can you sink deeper into pure BE-ingness? -

Without the direct experience, that will not satisfy the ego. It will continue to think in distinctions: symbols, words and concepts. When there is peace in silent stillness, the seeking energy to make sense of it evaporates. It's like trying to use nonsense to make sense of nonsense. For example" "Is a triclof of winflick beyond the stiflet of jangdon if kamdrin is portek with latlim?". One indication of a mind that hasn't gone full monty is that the mind is still conceptualizing in any manner whatsoever. Even saying one word is too much. -
About 10 years. From 2016-2018 was the deepest immersion. I have a job in which I can take 3 months off a year. I wasn't working when I lived in foreign countries. I think traditional career work would have been a distraction. I lived with locals, as a local. After about a month of immersion, the story of me began to dissolve. Not in an intellectual way like thinking "I know the story of me is an illusion". Rather in a very literal way. I literally began to forget who I was. I didn't interact with westerners or speak any English. Occasionally, a local would ask me about my "real life". At times, I didn't know how to answer the question. It took effort to remember what this character is. And it felt like I was talking about a movie character. Not in theory, in direct experience. When I returned to the States, I felt like an impostor, like I was pretending to be some movie character. The first week at work was really uncomfortable. I could only talk to my colleagues for a few seconds. I locked myself in my office or worked at home as much as I could. It took a couple weeks to relearn how to play the character. This was super important through my Green evolution. Now, any character is me. I would sit with someone and be their character, I "got" them. This created extremely strong empathy energy that at times was overwhelming. I would awareness of "me" and "them". When this energy arose with someone unaware of this empathy dynamic, a bizarre energy dynamic would arise. Part of Turquoise work is developing and taming those energetic channels in a responsible and mature manner.

@Emanyalpsid Great inquiry questions to reveal emptiness prior to the questions. In that emptiness, distinctions collapse and thought impulses have no more relevance than bird chirps. At that point, trying to find an answer is as silly as trying to find an answer to the question "Tweet, tweeet. . . tweet, tweet, tweet?". -
Some nice insights. When I feel desire to quickly skip ahead without practice, I remind myself the journey is the goal.

There is prescence in which the self dissolves and the ISness every mystic, sage and enlightened being know is revealed. -

@SoonHei Give yourself into that stillness. Explore with the curiosity and spirit of a child. Appreciate what grace reveals to you through the stillness. -

That’s a good perspective on Joe. I would add that I think Joe is open-minded, curious and has had a variety of experience. I like how the conversation flows with most of his guests. They explore, improvise and go off on random tangents together. I think Joe can touch yellow when yellow level guests pull him up. Yet it still seems half of it goes over his head. -

@SoonHei Sounds like you got a bowlful of stillness. That stillness is eternally present, yet the subjective experience is that I go in and out of it through the day. “Returning” to that stillness during practice is potent direct experience for me. My mind-body is still acclimating to it. -
Forestluv replied to Ampresus's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Ampresus I do dance meditations on occasion. I've reached some deep conscious states while free-form dancing. It can be like yoga. If it is bothersome, you could try to relax and let it go. Yet, that's the type of thing I'd be tempted to flip the script, fully immerse myself into and explore. My mind likes bizarre stuff -
Necessity does not assume sufficiency. That cognitive framework may be necessary, yet still insufficient. Understanding the rules of soccer is necessary to become a successful professional soccer player, yet it is insufficient. Massive amounts of training and experience are necessary to become a successful professional soccer player. Openness, willingness, cognitive awareness and understanding may open the door, yet direct experience is key for embodiment. Conceptual understanding and direct experience are both necessary for maturation. Anyone who skimps on Green direct experience is at a surface level.

Of course. Its all relative. Human minds tend to become immersed into their own relativity, which limits the mind's ability to see and allow other perspectives. For example, a mind may see JP and TJ as being incredibly valuable, yet be unable to see how they are also regressive and harmful. An environment conducive to evolution, growth and maturation requires work and maintenance or it will devolve. That is true with one's mind, body, car, house, yard etc. As well as this forum.

@Tistepiste It's all relative. There is no objective tool to determine an official, certified LP for someone.

Yes, LSD can compromise short term memory leading to thought loops and blackouts at high doses. If it is bothersome to you, I would reduce the dose below your blackout threshold. -
I didn’t view that thread. I only mentioned a few forms of criticism. There is also irrelevant criticism, nonsense criticism and others. Anyone who has been in a close relationship with a hyper-critical person knows the nuances of criticism. As well, working in a career that receives a lot of criticism reveals various dinstinctions. My career involves about 100 wriiten critiques of my performance each year. Some of it is thoughtful, genuine and constructive. Some of it is not useful and can be a distraction from the job at hand. Yet, most minds think that *their* criticism of others is super important, accurate and relevant.
-
@Shroomdoctor I think you are using a broad definition of “criticism” and not acknowledging distinctions within criticism. Genuine constructive criticism can open doors to exploration and evolution. Toxic criticism and criticism with hidden agendas can pollute an environment. As well, a distinction could be drawn between constructive criticism and threads that are off-topic, irrelevant, nonsense, spam etc.

Forestluv replied to Jack Walter Leon's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
To me, this seems like a strong personality dynamic that is uncomfortable and seeks relief. I would let go of the enlightenment story and put effort into establishing daily practices to relax the mind-body so it can settle down into whatever is happening right now. Yoga, meditation, contemplative journaling. Human minds have been conditioned and beliefs such as not being goid enough can be deeply rooted. There can be moments in which the personality dissolves, yet the impulses reappear. It can take a while to deconstruct and release. You could also consider finding a therapist that resonates with you, or get involved in a community yoga or meditation group that involes spiritual growth. Psychedelics can completely dissolve the personality and offer a fresh perspective, yet ime the personality reappears and the work continues. After chipping away at it over time, it weakens and eventually it isn’t the biggest show in town anymore. -

One perspective of deja vu is that there is a blank gap in being. There is a blank gap in the continuity of time in the mind. There is then confusion because the immediate past is no longer perceived as the immediate past. It is a memory that the mind cannot place in the timeline. So, thoughts and sensations of “Have I been here before?” arise. My mind has also questioned whether the memory was a dream memory. -

That is within the current scientific paradigm. There is also the perspective that reality is testing itself with the tool of science, yet hasn’t let the scientists in on the secret yet. It’s humor in the movie. -

@pluto I had a similiar experience at an Ayahuasca ceremony. My intention heading in was to pay attention. At one point in the trip, Mother Aya said “You want to know what attention is? This is what attention looks like”. Then, there was Absolute Clarity. It was so amazing and I don’t know how to describe it.
