  1. In terms of selling truth to one's self, the biggest draw is the end of suffering. It sounds like your mind has set up a scale and is measuring the cost of the known suffering of ignorance vs. the fear of unknown truth. When the scale is tipped such that the known suffering of ignorance becomes worse than the fear of unknown truth, a seeking energy toward truth may arise. It seems that you have already had a solid glimpse of truth and have experienced a desire to understand that truth for it's own sake.
  2. The mind-body primarily desires security and comfort. There comes a time when seeking truth raises insecurity and discomfort. To continue on, one must prioritize truth over security and comfort. Part of my resistance to seeking truth was that my mind created all sorts of scary scenarios of what the outcome might be like. I wanted some assurance that if I went through the process, it would be ok in the end. Yet nobody could give me that assurance. I had to venture through it alone. I had support from others, yet the direct experience was through my mind and body. There are aspects of letting go of control and surrendering to what is that were very uncomfortable at times. Yet, there is also deeper modes of being regarding peace, human connection, love and the magnificence of reality that I could not have imagined. You say that you may rather continue living in ignorance, since ignorance is bliss. Yet, you also say that you are fearful about death and the future of your life. That doesn't sound very blissful to me.
  3. The seed itself is both form and formless at the same time. Drop the formless flower part. It is a distraction. One could also say the seed is a formless gorilla, a formless paper clip or a formless coffee cup. That is all distraction. Just simply observe during your practice. Seeking questions and answers is a distraction in this context. Direct experience is deeper. Rest the mind and observe an object in meditation. Formlessness may be revealed. Let go of questions and seeking answers and allow being-ness to reveal itself. If it does, allow it to be without trying to figure it out and contextualize it. That's it.
  4. For attention, to feel important, to feel loved, for human connection etc.
  5. This is an idea of formless within the construct of a timeline. Consider that what is actual right now is fornmless. The seed is formless right now (rather than the idea of the future flower is formless). Look around you, everything is formless right now. Not in some conceptual idea of what may manifest in the future. It’s all formless right now. Everything you see right now is formless. Don’t add on any ideas and theories about future manifestations. Become aware of it in your own direct experience right now. Also consider the optical illusion drawing of the young woman and old woman. The drawing is not of a young woman that will manifest as an old woman in the future. Rather, she is both the young woman and old woman right now. The drawing itself is both young and old woman. Similarly, the seed itself is both form and formless right now. The idea of the future flower is irrelevant - it is just an imaginaty idea. The actual seed right now is both form and formless.
  6. @Joseph Maynor Nice work. Will you journaling on it?
  7. @Emanyalpsid We are all learning and growing here, including myself. ♥️ ?
  8. @SoonHei You seem to have a genuine open mind and are growing like wild flowers. Nice work
  9. @Emanyalpsid It seems that pointers are reinforcing the dynamics playing out in your mind. This can be counter-productive. It’s better to have a relaxed mind. I don’t have an intuitive sense right now how to point without triggering the thought loops occuring in your mind. You seem to have made a lot of progress over the last few months and I don’t want to reinforce any traps. Your mind is fighting against my pointers and telling me to stop.
  10. You could do it temporarily with psychedelics. I wouldn’t pursue a goal of getting rid of an ego permanently . That will setup conflict and could actually strenghten the ego. I think its better to detach and disidentify from the ego. It will still make appearances within the conscious field, yet the relationship with it totally changes. Very few beings totally purify the mind-body of egoic Impulses permanently. I suppose it’s possible after 30 years or so of intensive work in the right environment.
  11. @Emanyalpsid You are interpreting post-rational pointers as mind games, ignorant and irrational. There is more to be revealed to you,
  12. @GeoLura It sounds like you tapped into some nondual direct experience that revealed profound insight. I’d just be mindful if the personality tries to take ownership of it and creates a new story. It just seems like “done” to the ego. There never was a start and there is no finish. That’s just a story of the person. The journey is both the start and finish line.
  13. @GeoLura That vid is wild, I like the description of “genuis”
  14. Most organisms are living peacefully without an ego.
  15. I lost my enlightenment manual. I’m so absent-minded. ?
  16. Yep. I’m ready to surrender and undergo little booty death.
  17. I love it when post-rational giggles arise. They are so pure ?
  18. That was @cetus56 “one word for God” in a thread a few months back. In this context, we are all One Big Booty. The most difficult part of the process is deconstructing the illusory little booty. ? @GeoLura Very creative meme. Love it,
  19. I’ve been doing the preprratory breathing for about four months. I just started the chakra chanting/meditation about two weeks ago. I may have a better understanding of prana energy during yoga asanas. During difficult postures the teacher often refers to the prana energy arising, which I take to mean the shaking kind of energy. That type of energy is obvious. Is the chakra prana energy similiar?
  20. Another point I’d like to add after watching Mu’s video; If a direct experience becomes “this is obvious”, my mind is vulnerable to assume that “that’s all there is”, even if I just caught a glimpse and scratched the surface. Gor example, one good look at nonduality and my mind may think I’m suddenly an expert on nonduality ? ?
