  1. That’s all within personality constructs and assigning meaning to appearances. i.e. what she did to me and what it means. Nothing wrong with that - it’s part of what human minds do. Rabbits would perceive that type of sexual behavior very differently.
  2. That’s fine too. I’m just not clear on what you want. It sounds like you want a gf for a relationship that includes romance, loving feelings and sex. Nothing wrong with that, it’s beautiful. To me, it sounds like that also has a lot of beliefs and identity attached to it. When I was younger and struggling to find a gf, I found three things helpful. One was to do personal development to develop character for the sake of becoming a better person - not to score dates. Second was to learn how to develop loving platonic friendships with women and thirdly, to learn how to develop loving relationships with men. There are other approaches tho. Lots of different strategies to attract women and score. Yet I don’t have much experience in that area. I know how hard it can be. I had about a 7 year stretch in which I was mostly single. Just a few times of dating, flings once in a while. It was really frustrating at times.
  3. There is plenty of opportunity to love others. For example, go out and do volunteer work. If sex isn't a goal, it makes it very straightforward.
  4. And what are these lower biological urges? A biological urge to feel and express love or to have sex?
  5. @MM1988 It seems like you are placing a lot of self-worth value on romantic relationships. It seems to be a goal uou want to acheive. I suppose it could be, yet have you considered developing a selfless love for all beings? It’s really beautiful. ♥️
  6. @sausagehead Ultimately, there is One nothing/everything - so it wouldn’t be accurate to call it “alive” or “non-alive” since there is nothing to contrast One Everything to. Using distinctions like “alive” vs “non-alive” is fine - it has practical uses and is part of the human experience to perceive as alive and non-alive. Yet now we enter the relative. A Reiki master, a shaman under the influence of Ayahuasca and a biologist would describe “alive” very differently.
  7. @ZZZZ You might like yin yoga. The poses are held for 3-8 min. and the mind-body can go into deeply relaxed states.
  8. @Pouya The mind-body realizes. The human mind-body is a conduit for thoughts and emotions. The essence will often flow through a human as emotions. It won’t manifest itself through a human as a tuna sandwich. And that essence would manifest differently through a tree or dragonfly ?‍♂️
  9. @tecladocasio On absolute Love. . . This is the type of thing that is conceptual candy for my mind. I hear a lot of spiritually advanced beings speaking of awakening / enlightenment / beingness as Love. The closet I can describe what has arisen from deeper absolute / nondual is “nothing”. The closest I can describe the experience at the human level is a sense of “ISness”. When I call it love, peace, bliss etc. my sense is that I am taking one step away from that ISness. Yet that step away feels very good to my mind-body. Regarding love. . . rather than using the term “absolute”, what resonates better with my mind-body is the term/concept of “trans-personal” love. This is an essence of love that transcends a psychological self. That description feels right to my mind-body at this time and what my mind-body is embodying. I feel a strong pull toward exploring that beingness. . . That’s just where my mind-body is at now. Who knows, maybe new insights will arise in this area as life unfolds. ?‍♂️
  10. Be mindful that this is a common rationale the mind uses to extrapolate relative/subjective into absolute/universally objective. It provides the mind-body with a sense of grounding, yet also keeps a mind in a contracted state.
  11. I think 2g offers a good range. If after an hour, it feels strong I would just relax, let go and go with the flow. If it feels underwhelming and the mind-body wants more, I would “participate” in the trip. It can take some practice, yet it sounds like you have experience in some deeper levels of awareness and nonduality. When I’m on a light trip just a bit higher than threshold, it may appear to be underwhelming. Yet this can be a powerful “transitional” zone. Work with and and boost yourself up and explore. Sober, it can be difficult to get into these spaces, yet in a light trip it is much easier - if you are in tune with it. In this zone, a mind can ground itself in “normal” reality or take itself into a nondual mystical state. During one trip, I was walking in nature and it felt like I underdosed. Yet then I entered a er mystical state and was like “Dang, I just did that”. Then I ran into a maintenance worker and snapped back into “normal” reality to have a brief conversation. Then, I snapped back into the mystical state. It was super cool and helped me to develop this ability sober (albeit to a lesser extent).
  12. Different mind-bodies have different sensitivities to psychedelics and there are a lot of variables. It’s an interplay of physical, psychological and energetic factors. In general, psychedelics increase a mind-body’s sensitivity to. . . whatever it’s in tune with during the trip. The trend for me was that as my baseline conscious level increased, my sensitivity to psychedelics increased and I reduced the dosage. I’ve seen a similar effect in others. Yet there are some beings that seem to have a naturally low sensitivity to psychedelics. As well, I’ve met beings with a lot of nondual experience that are underwhelmed with standard dosages. It’s like it’s still a nondual existence without any deep break throughs and realizations. The dosage depends on your intentions. Are you looking to take a “trial run” to get a feel for it before taking a deeper second trip? Or perhaps to boost your spiritual sensitivity a little bit during mediation/contemplatiion? Or perhaps to enter a deeper realm for realizations? 2g is the low end of a “common” dose. If you are particularly sensitive, this may take you to the upper end of a common dose into a full nondual state. Yet it’s unlikely to go into waaay out there zones that are extremely difficult to integrate. . . If you happen to be less sensitive, 2g would feel like a light dose in which the mind-body is feeling something yet may still be asking “Is this it? What’s supposed to happen next?” Dosage and mindset are key variables. The third key variable is setting. Setting can have a significant impact on a trip and should be considered on par with dosage and mindset, imo and ime.
  13. @kieranperez There is also plenty of opportunity to be a pioneer. I think there is decent interest, yet it is scattered around. Stuff like psychedelics, therapy, psychology, mysticism and neuroscience is practically begging to get integrated. I think the career scientists will be the hardest to get to cross over. They will resist giving up control of the narrative and power within medicine, health care and health insurance coverage.
  14. @kieranperez I agree. I’d love to increase integration. Yet people like to stay within their paradigm and comfort zones. If I talk mysticism to my science colleagues I get marginalized. And when I was in Sedona and talked science to mystics, I was marginalized. What’s a guy who wants to start Reiki Neuroscience to do?
  15. @Nahm I feel open to ideas. Yet I’m not feeling desire to go too intense right now. Like 10 hr SDS sits in a dark room kinda stuff.
  16. What about also not listening to or reading words for a few days? I have some free time coming up and pondering what I could do for an at-home retreat.
  17. @kieranperez Wow, someone here with an appreciation for the genius of Lydiard. Beautiful. On science. . . it seems like a pro and con. Excessive skepticism, peer-review, dogma and the staus-quo can slow science down - yet those features also keep it grounded and solid. . . If I got funded for every “great idea” I’ve had, I would have wasted a lot of time and tax-payer money ?
  18. @Identity Genuine laughter is a spiritual experience. There is a beautiful connection and wholeness within laughter. My mind-body was conditioned to be very serious since I was a young child. I’ve had to practice being silly and laughing. It’s so beautiful ♥️
  19. It seems an individual can evolve in consciousness much higher than the evolution of the average societal consciousness. For example, an individual can evolve into solid Turquoise, yet it may be 100+ years for society to evolve that high. Sometimes it’s like I can almost touch something “paranormal” and I get the sense that in 100+ years it will be mainstream. There is both a sense of excitement and sadness about that.
  20. For me, shifting from anxiety to curiosity is one the most important skills in this area.
  21. @Soulbass Was this an acute injury or a chronic injury?
  22. @fryingLotus I usually don’t get excited until I’m immersed in the trip. I have a hard time getting excited by planning or imagining a trip. I need to actually be in the trip.
