Good grief ?. I didn’t claim to write an “analysis” of your video. I gave you a compliment and I assumed nothing. I actually think you are exploring some cool realms and have some nice insights. Not based just on the video, but your other posts. Do you want me to write a “full analysis” of all your points to justify that I think you have some nice insights? Will you grade my analysis?. . . .C’mon. . . And notice how you yourself are assuming I didn’t watch the whole video. You previously posted that video on the forum. You are assuming I haven’t previously watched it. And it’s not just intellectual analysis. There are empathetic and intuitive modes that can allow a being to recognize others quickly. I don’t need to watch 27min. to recognize realizations in another - realizations that I’ve already realized. A being can quickly recognize if someone is speaking English and can quickly recognize facets of awakening that they have embodied. -

There was a user @Faceless that had some deep posts on desire as a movement. -

By going through your personal filter, it becomes your relative definition. It’s relative. There is no objective universal reality. Someone else with a different filter would interpret differently. Fun video. Some nice realms to explore and cool insights ? -

That’s fine. You are in a particular relative realm. What you state is a construct of desire. That can be fun to explore. Yet there are other realms to explore as well. For example, we can deconstruct the construct you offered above and examine the more fundamental actuality. Or we can play with the construct you offer. Both is cool. You are free to have a conversation as you like with the OP. It is as if we are building sandcastles and you have built a sandcastle and want to continue adding components. Perhaps you are adding a moat. Someone else comes along and says - how about deconstructing the sand castle and examine the fundamental actuality of the sand? Then we can create a new form of sandcastle. . . It’s all good. -

@Michael Paul I think desire is a super interesting phenomena. So much explore and constructs to create with it. I thought I had it down, yet a few months ago realized I’ve barely scratched the surface. . . .Thanks for your thoughts ?. I wish Leo would do a video on desire. -

There is an underlying assumption of a construct of desire he is using as scaffolding. We can accept that assumption and do our best to interpret the the other person’s construct or question the assumption itself. Both have value. -
Forestluv replied to Michael Paul's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
It’s context dependent. “What is x?” is often a power pointer. It is the heart of self inquiry and can penetrate subconscious assumptions/attachments/identifications. Paradoxically, avoiding “what is x?” can be a form of eluding. There are multiple dynamics occurring. In this case, the argument is based upon a foundational assumption of a relative construct called “desire”. We can accept that assumption and do our best to interpret the the others persons’ construct as much as possible. Or we can deconstruct and examine the assumption itself. Both have a form of value. -
@Dlavjr Nicotine is sooo hard. I chewed tobacco for years and it was the hardest thing I’ve ever quit by far. . . . I’m not familiar with vaping nic. Is it just a nicotine oil/wax that vaporizes? If so, that would seem far better than smoking the dozens of toxins in cigs. I wonder if you could slowly decrease the nicotine concentration. . . One thing I became aware of while quitting nicotine: a big part of the anxiety/jitters that nicotine reduces is the addiction/withdrawal of the nicotine itself. It also sounds like you aren’t fully addicted to it and can manage. Perhaps it’s offering more pros than cons in your life for the time being. Kinda like someone consuming caffeine.

Sure, mastering something is very attractive - as long as the person isn’t an arrogant jackass. Even then, some women would still be attracted. And it’s not just women. Guys are often attracted to a female master. A female jazz musician that has mastered the saxophone is super hot to me.

@Schahin I’m not saying you are wrong. I’m drawing attention to psychological dynamics and thought stories. A nondual experience can be overwhelming to a mind and body. It can feel groundless. The mind and body is often uncomfortable with this groundless reality state and will try to make sense of it by creating thought stories. This provides a sense of grounding and security. I’ve gone through this a hundred times. . . You may have had some previous conditioning with Christianity and your mind goes to stories of the trinity. If you were Muslim, your mind would likely go to thought stories of Allah. If you were Hindu, perhaps stories of Brahman. If you were a scientist, your mind may go to Quantum mechanics to make sense of it. . . . These thoughts stories can be beneficial to the mind and body. If the mind and body goes deeply groundless too fast, it could result in anxiety, panic and trauma. So the thought stories can be beneficial. It can take a while to acclimate to nondual realizations. You may want to take a break for a bit ad integrate/acclimate. Sometimes it’s helpful to take a break from the work. Spend some time in nature, go to some concerts, do some art, start a new project. -

That was someone else. I have an individual employer plan that costs about $600/month. -

Beautiful Notice how you then add in extra stuff (this is your creation) You added in the part about father, son and holy spirit. That is a contextualization. Where did this come from? Did someone tell you about things called "father, son and holy spirit" in your life? . . . Other people have an experience similar to yours and say "therefore it is machine elves". . . There is nothing wrong with this, that's what human minds do. Yet notice how is all imagination. You are free to create imagery of father in the trinity. Yet notice how wearing those glasses creates interpretation. Your HBWR trip was filtered through a "father the trinity" lens such that you are hallucinating father the trinity. If you were wearing a machine elf lens, you would interpret it machine elves. . . In terms of SD, this glimpses of Turquoise going through a blue/green lens. If this type of thing resonates with you, you may be interested in learning about nonduality of Christ Consciousness. -

Which positions do you consider far left? The major democratic positions are M4A, gun regulation, corporate regulation + taxes, increasing taxes on the wealthy and the Green New Deal - these are mainstream positions. Perhaps slightly left, yet still within the mainstream and not far left. However, they are not viewed as such by corporate america and lobbyists - which paint them as leftist. . . I suppose they are left in terms of politics, yet not in terms of social dynamics. To reach the far left socially, one would need to venture into reparations and decriminalizing undocumented immigration - yet these are not priorities for the dem candidates. For example, notice how corporations and corporate media try to frame M4A as "expensive" - costing over 30 trillion dollars!! And we will need to raise middle class taxes to pay for it. This is a corporate frame that gives the appearance that M4A is to the left of mainstream. However, it is a highly disingenuous and misleading frame. People are starting to wake up and see through this frame, yet about half the country is still mesmerized by it. Imagine if there was a plan to raise taxes on the wealthy to an 80% rate. And 70% of the population supported it. On the one hand, it is a radical increase and could be viewed as far left. In particular but wealthier people. Yet on the other hand, if 70% of the population supports it, it is mainstream in that context. -

You can create a distinction if you like. What if you don't create a distinction between brain activity and consciousness? Heck, what if you don't create any distinctions between things and consciousness? What happens?. . . Notice how we start off with Nothing/Everything/ISness - and then create distinctions that split it up. Nothing wrong with distinctions. They come in handy and can be super cool. Yet notice how you want to create distinctions. You can also move in the other direction and deconstruct prior to distinctions. -

Obama 2.0. Republicans are not oriented like that. -

That's a big jump. From the realization that you are everywhere, everything and pure consciousness being conscious of itself. . . to how this proves the trinity in the bible. . . Notice how the direct experience came prior to the story created about the direct experience. . . You could have also created a story about how this proves that god is a machine elf. . . Have you tried sitting with the experience/sensations without creating a thought story about it? Just Being it. -

It is one of many factors, yet the only factor Moodey's seems to care about. The perception of a good economy is necessary for Trump's reelection, yet it is not sufficient. -
Forestluv replied to Robi Steel's topic in Society, Politics, Government, Environment, Current Events
Moodey’s is a corporate financial institution and their model is based on one variable. The one that matters to them: money. “Moody’s based its projections on how consumers feel about their own financial situation” -

There are many constructs we could create. I offered a construct that could be interpreted as material neuroscience, neurotransmitters etc. We could create other constructs that would be considered immaterial. We could also create constructs that are hybrids of material / immaterial. Or we could drop the categories referred to as "material" and "immaterial". Material = Immaterial. We are creating distinctions. That's just what humans do. Why is the dream so consistent? What makes it consistent? We can create all sorts of constructs to answer that question. It's all relative. . . You are creating a dream that appears consistent relative to you. How are You doing it? How could You create a dream that appears inconsistent relative to you? . . . It's so mysterious, isn't it? We could say it is impossible, magical. It sounds like you want to know how the magic trick works. . .

@Key Elements I'm not referring to a personal agenda or career-motivated type of social intelligence. I'm referring more of a Nelson Mandela form of social intelligence. To be aware of social intelligence at a collective level. Not so much me manipulating social dynamics toward an intended goal (although that is part of it). Part of it is the social intelligence at a collective level in which there is no "me here" and "society there". For example, an anthill has individual intelligences of thousands of ants - yet also has one collective social intelligence as well. I would like to increase my sensitivity of individual and collective intelligences - yet not through intellect. Sensitivities to energetic dynamics, empathic, intuitive, the knowing prior to thoughts, etc. . . I would agree that Trump has a form of social intelligence - he is in tune with the dynamics of a social group and vibes with that group. Yet I wouldn't say Trump created or is directing the Trump group. Trump was also selected and created by the Trump group. It is a fascinating dynamic of Queen Ant and worker Ants. . . Yet Trump has focused his social intelligence and social skills to focus inward onto himself. This leads to a form of corruption. . . In contrast, Bernie Sanders also has social intelligence, yet Bernie diffuses it outward rather than inward. As well, I think most of Trump's social ability is subconscious, while most of Bernie's is conscious.
