its almost 2018 and i finally wrapped my mind around concept why nothing exists. concepts are not absolute but this is satisfactory for my left brain. oh god. you are funny dude. its all dream babies!!! its all dream!!! i really doubt that me and anyone here (except Leo and some other hardcore ppl) really want to get to the rock bottom of rabbit hole we want to explore it and get very very deep but few ppl on this planet are ready for rock bottom truth. they say its too much to handle because dream can be nice dark night of the soul can feel like heaven comparing to rock bottom - that's what they say

He calls pic 7 - complete enlightenment pic 8 - realizing substance of enlightenment -> Truth aka Nothingness (he doesn't call it truth but i guess its obvious, knowing substance = truth) pic 9 - realizing form -> appearances that you perceive pic 10 - knowing what is purpose -> adapting to the world and sharing gifts Makes me think that many enlightened folks on pic 7 max, 'skipped' 8, and went on living in the world while 8 was 'achieved' by ultra-hardcore ppl only That's why (I think) JedMckenna has such dramatic (apocalyptic) and different description of his truth realization (which he calls enlightenment) and suggests not to go for it - because he has realized substance (or not, who knows) Beyond enlightenment is Truth, knowing substance, a killer and realization that nothing exists and its all god's dream, while in enlightenment on pic 7 - its still reality. (that's all speculation remember)

@Joseph Maynor yes except that there is truth which is not what most folks are talking about. all talking about some stages of enlightenment, god realization, disolving ego etc = all these are heavens. its not yet truth because reality is still real here, and heaven is still real. real truth goes beyond. so thats where all misconceptions comes from. i'm actually doubtful that people need or want to know what is final truth. they will rather become frustrated and distracted. so I can feel Leo's resistance of talking about different stages. hehe truth is no good, its neutral and just truth. while 'dominant' and 'famous' form of enlightenment, awakening, stages of realization and consciousness expansion are all good things or god things, but truth is truth.

I think we're all very much confused about different stages of enlightenment. People here are not sure what is full enlightenment and what is not full, how many stages there are, what is considered as truth and what is not yet truth, is truth the final thing or are there stages beyond truth when truth becomes even more true. Seems like this causes many debates here about 'this guy is enlightened and this guy isn't', I think good terminology and distinction of stages is what we lack. Seems like there are many stages, but even experienced seekers and teachers do not seem to make sense and describe what are those stages and are there stages at all. I don't get this awakening within park and awakening from the park, and coming back to park distinction. It'll be awesome if Leo you can make a video about it, or maybe vlog, or even answer it here. I think I know what was it like to be disciple of Jesus, Buddha or Muhammad. What was it like to attend their meetings and just sit and listen what wise man has to say. Disciple gets thrilled from shared wisdom, makes notes and contemplates about that. I totally can relate to that because I wait what Leo Gura has to say in his videos so I can learn some new wisdom, and for some reason it feels very thrilling to receive such wisdom (maybe that's how religions started ). Perhaps it has to do with recognition of high competency of wise man. You feel like his competency gets transmitted into you, and it makes you excited as if you discovered or achieved something. Now I'm not implying cult-like thinking or anything, because first commandment of Guraism is that everything is belief, go discover truth for yourself. And this is wise. If only Bible had such note - 'but this Bible is lie, go discover truth for yourself', oh man we'd live in different world today.. Actually, NO. It's delusion, if Bible had such note then no one would ever read it and spread it. It is as if CNN News reporter tells: 'But all News here are lies, go discover truth for yourself!' - No one would listen to news who claims its own falsehood. People don't understand They would rather find another religious book which states that all stories there are truth. LOL What an irony

I'm not big on maths so I used to think of absolute infinity as {zero to infinity}, where for instance 2 is bigger than 1, hence 2 is closer to infinity than 1. But it seems to be more as {-infinity to +infinity}, where -infinity is identical to +infinity, so any number would be equally close to infinity, 2 is closer to +inf than 1, but 1 closer to -inf, which is the same thing as +inf. So therefore there is no difference between 2 and 1, they are equally close to infinity, and simultaneously bigger and smaller than each other (strange loop), so (maybe) they are equal, 2=1, and moreover they are both already infinity. So if nothing is smaller or bigger in reality then subatomic particles are bigger than atoms, and also smaller in the same time, thus equal. Moreover, galaxies are not only bigger than atom, but also smaller, so galaxies are equal to atom. Everything is equal. Individual karmic soul (if exists) is not higher realm of reality than body, even it survives longer than body. Souls and any kind of 'higher' dimensional beings of conscious evolution is equal in importance or size or whatever else to 'physicality'.

Try to remember details of location and draw a picture, eliminate everything you saw in dream that you also saw in real life, so what's left is staff which you never saw anywhere in real life and on tv or thought about, this staff might be memories from your past life. Possible you've died at war in your past life, if you see war all the time it can be it. i have war dreams all the time, and everywhere i'm sort of spying around and trying to escape.

good advice - when u suffer watch your suffering, become aware. this is one of the most useful thing esp when u are in the deep suffering, when u cry your eyes out, and feel in chaos - watch it! i did yesterday after strong yelling fight with family, and i feel beatific today, i feel presence of some power inside and outside of me. quite indescribable feeling. this is god, consciousness. i just feel that it is here, it is as if someone is here watching you. gosh i was waiting for this kind of experience from age of 5. i think this is so far from realisation of truth but i feel presence of divine, and funny enough there is simultaneously nothing divine in it but also i see why it is called divine, surely how else would you name it, its really some magnetic power floating around, it is silent and kind of simple and ordinary but in the same time i can feel its potentiality, and its potentiality is overwhelming. i feel like i can talk with it by talking with myself. but this is trap which i was warned before, all this blissful moments of divine is not it, its kind of distraction but still doesn't mean u can't appreciate and enjoy how good it feels. it also makes you start wondering about truth more. you kinda become curious of this massive power and want to understand it. that's how religions started i guess! its started when people have experienced mystical presence of power, and then they went on quest to understand it all.

You should lose yourself in the moment so humour goes natural, and keep balance between alertness of the situation and chilled state Also, I used to joke all the time and turn all my weaknesses and bad moments in life into joke and sarcasm But this foolishing around has eventually stroke back, life eventually tells u - man stop joking, see how miserable u are, u cant turn everything into joke otherwise u will suffer so keep balance, joke but also grow. don't joke without self-development. if u do both then hakuna matata is sustainable and best!

What enlightened teachers out there you think are the most profound and best at understanding nonduality?

I know Leo talked about this but still I can't quite grasp this. Christianity talks about this, Hinduism talks about this, Islam, Buddhism, Taoism, Judaism, ancient mythologies etc all talk about this, and yet society at large has misinterpreted God and enlightenment. You can find this in arts and cultures, even in pop culture, Matrix talks about this and Beatles have songs about this. Yet humanity exported God to heavens and made enlightenment as some exclusive luxury accessible only for most saint people. I see how even many modern books about enlightenment do not really talk about god, they do not really being articulate enough in describing what this state of being really mean in bigger picture - that you are nothingness/god. They forgot that well this is what god all about and it is right here, it is you! Many enlightened gurus do not talk about it directly enough, except Leo many of modern gurus I read and watched do not talk about full meaning of non-duality and that you are GOD, maybe they don't really understand the whole scope?I guess talking bout enlightenment in abstract metaphors in novels and in zen riddles did not help humanity much to realise full scale of things. I guess enlightened gurus need perhaps to talk about this more directly, they are so afraid of word 'God' sometimes. How could humanity fucked up so bad after thousands of years talking about god? If this is the main thing you can realise, yet we think of getting to God as some 'extra' thing in life accessible for some lucky people instead of something 'core', practical and most important thing to life any human being can 'have' and by 'having it' can start to have 'real life' instead of zombie life. I've read that in India today quite high number of people know about enlightenment, yet they decide not to care about that and consider this as unnecessary staff. I guess they simply do not realise the whole scope of it, that it means you are GOD and all that non-duality, they just think of it as just some high and great state of being? I don't know if this is true, but it makes me wonder a lot.

I've some really strong sense of terror during meditation as if Satan going to jump in front of me. It's a good sign and not to be avoided and run from, so what's the best strategy to get max effect out of meditation session? Just let fear to take over you and sort of go deeper into fear and get absorbed into it without trying to do anything with it? Or turn on bravery mode and go into fear with strong heart where you simultaneously feel terror and courage? These strategies seem different and I tried both but I still dunno which one will maximize effect in meditation.

How can we be sure that children and animals are unconsciously enlightened?? Are there any evidence from psychology and biology suggesting that there is no sense of self vs others in animals and little children? We know that many animals are very much social creatures as they have social interactions, hierarchies. So can we be sure that they don't have sense of self/ego?

its funny coz this goes same for post-christian capitalistic west, post-communist capitalistic east, spiritual india, underdeveloped africa and overdeveloped europe and northern america, islamic middle east, and whoever else. can't think of a country who care about that

@Leo Gura well you succeeded at communicating description of truth quite well imho and thats what I wonder about really, why humanity is so bad in trying to communicate description if this is so important? @snowleopard it might have its role but still if this is so important and yet so many enlightened people are simply not being articulate enough in describing all these staff. coz you can at least be articulate enough if it is so important and if you are trying to lead people towards light.. because ppl will misunderstand you and will either crucify god or believe in beliefs.

Whenever you gonna make video on evolution, you might look up a theory based on actual research suggesting that reincarnation might be a tool created for evolutionary purposes. he basically says that reincarnation of soul or karma was evolved as a tool for quicker learning. soul accumulates experience so it can utilize it in next life.
