  1. @Mighty Mouse thats the thing. end of conflict is end of 'goal'.
  2. @Truth Addict I don't understand why religions, polytheistic, monotheistic and non-theistic (including Buddhism) dismiss this material life as something unimportant and place for mere test and challenge. Main themes of all religions is escapism: salvation, liberation, redemption. And you might be right to say that its a metaphorical tool to make people follow 'goodness' so they can stop attachment to their finite things and live this material life in the NOW with joy and truth and oneness instead of being absorbed with problems, separated and suffering. Escape pain of this realm, not the realm itself. And then as a reward maybe have 'goodies' after this realm. That can be very appealing and reasonable explanation. But thats only one side of the coin coz its just way too easy to say that religions only advocated that, and used metaphorical way. I think religions (by that I mean actual historical saints, prophets, spiritual scientists of the past) are just as metaphorical as they are literal. They might have been very much serious about actual escape from this 'unnecessary' and 'dirty' existence. Its not just metaphors. I can't just buy that their main purpose is about transforming your bad troublesome material separated egoic body life realm into good spiritual oneness truth absolute etc etc body life realm. I think if Abrahamics said that main purpose is whats beyond this 'useless' body life then they actually meant that. If Buddha and Hindus said that main purpose is to leave any life at all, then they actually meant that. But question is if God created everything, then he created this life too then why dismiss it? Maybe the main reason I can't understand that is because the whole evolution process seem to be sooo, well, intelligent and done with such care to details, and its progressing without end. Sorta like: God cared so much to create all that stupid flowers, molecules, cells and stupid human bodies and spend billions years for that. So in the end it is really controversial to say that all of these are unimportant illusions, stupid and useless material life and we only came here to learn and escape from here asap. Saints didn't seem to imply importance of neither spiritual nor material evolution of humanity. ALSO, Buddha and Hindus talked about escape from samsara including escape from any kind of heavens, but Abrahamic religions (not mysticism) didn't. Instead they advocated for going to better realms of existence. If Abrahamics actually meant escape from samsara of all kinds, don't you think they could just simply said that? Buddha simply said that: I'm teaching enlightenment which is escape from any realms. Why Abrahamic religions didn't? Given that they were born later than Buddhism and Hinduism. I think their message was beyond that. While Buddha was clear he didn't care about living anymore and anywhere as its all stupid suffering. He was enlightened but he still said: escape your suffering and leave this useless place asap. Can't simply dismiss and can't simply accept that. Something missing here. I dunno perhaps cosmology should be taken more seriously
  3. @JustinS u have great sense of humor man!!!!!!! its sabotage
  4. @JustinS what is the purpose of kundalini other than high feelings?
  5. that sounds like kundalini? this is hard. but no wonder. nature wanted to be sure that creation will continue and we pass on genes. no wonder why this desire is the strongest one
  6. Why both theistic and non-theistic religions are so against this material life? If God is responsible for this creation, then whats wrong in the material life? If there is no reason in creation, then again whats wrong? Why we have to seek salvation, liberation, redepmtion from it? I can only see two reasons one of which I don't yet understand. 1. Anti-life. They are actually against material life for reasons I don't understand. Then material life is some god's mistake. And only afterlife or no-life is true life. 2. Pro-life. Thats just tool to be free from all material attachments and hence suffering. This view then makes your material life not full of problems but full of joy and truth. Then both afterlife and this life are equal.
  7. @Shanmugam Thank you for your elaborated answer! Would you also say that there is a total absence of body/mind/self-image identification? (other than immediate survival impulses like from attack)
  8. Are you going to escape rebirth now? Will you commit Mahasamadhi?
  9. Sincerely repent for your sins to your consciousness aka god Make a good deed related to giving away
  10. @MarkusSweden enlightenment sort of frees you from your 'adequate and adult human-being' kind of mask and makes you more like a child, that's insight I had from some masters who are not international stars or famous at all In a sense that's one of main outcomes, is dropping your mask and be child with adult intellect But many famous spiritual masters often block their spontaneouty and authenticity in the name of being inspiring and nice look at sadhguru, I can't imagine he radiates same unshakeableness at home, I think he is child at home but still pretend to be solid and responsible adult hey I don't judge that, it's one approach, if it inspires millions then why not trump on the other hand acts much more authentic, spontaneous as if reality is some infinite playground
  11. He is more authentic than your favourite enlightened masters
  12. Hitler was into Hinduism What if precisely because Hitler knew that all is illusion he did what he did?
  13. spiritual people are not being rock solid, they pretend to be spiritual people are being chilled, i.e. less solid but this doesn't mean that they don't want to try to inspire public with radiating their pretentious rock solidness, might work but not always
  14. Isn't that some sort of strange loop? Or going full-circle? Life is cyclical, reality is cyclical. We can see why. But why exactly history of humanity is cyclical? What bothered people 2,000 years ago still bothers us today. Self-created suffering for example. Can we ever progress in this particular way?
  15. @Markus did Sadhguru mentioned if he is going to leave his body at some point or no?
  16. Probs this infinite memory is infinite karmic stream
  17. How reincarnation reconciles with having no one to be reincarnated? Did you have any insights on that during trips?
  18. u mean if u use these energies without limits then it can damage u?
  19. @Edogowa Conan aged for 25 years in 9 months??? i don't understand how can u do that even if u drink alchohol for 9 months straight that cant happen
  20. Insight of the day: If you think in really non-dual terms or if you are being non-dual then its very hard to debate someone. What ever they say is true, and untrue in the same time. Truly, now you can be reasonable.
  21. if u want have 'absolute' knowing on existential level then u do ur practice but if u want to create holistic model of reality then its perfectly fine to think about such things. and u can check out buddha at the gas pump, its full of different understandings, ppl look at that from many ways u can tune old scripts into some modern understanding by enlightened dudes such old scripts as: one day brahman went to sleep and he dreamt consciosness and consciousness dreamt another thing and so on till infinity OR one day god wanted to have shit. and so consciousness appeared from his ass and its infinite
  22. @Berjohansen u can't override your bodily habits without preparation, otherwise its counter-productive u start with 1 day fasting then 3 then 7 then 10 2 weeks then u might go for month. also u can just limit ur daily food to reasonable maxim.
  23. so much dualities moral is egoic or moral is non-egoic, these are the same things because if everything is you then the world is just one ego, if everything isn't you then world is many egos. both ways these are egos or selfs and no-self or yes-self, two same things! U think Buddha would think that ur world is dual, my world is non-dual, u are ego and i am not ego? why then he didn't answer on whether there is god or no? coz it was the same thing for him, god exist or god doesn't exist. same to the extent there's no difference between same and not same. for him everyone's world is nondual coz theres no more difference between nonduality and duality, truth and untruth, someone's living in dual world and someone's living in nondual world. Someone's being selfless and someone's being selfish. Same things. Jesus did extremely selfless act but he was 'rewarded' for that in the end So is it selfless or selfish to do that? I'd say there's no difference. Difference is only in relative levels. What u call selfish is being identified with smaller things, what u call selfless is identified with bigger things to the extent when identification equals to no identification at all. no-self = true-self remember U pursue truth only because u want reward in form of knowing whats' true U breath because ur body wants to be rewarded with living this whole game of rewards is just mechanism or stream of existence. Even to escape samsara and attain moksha is about reward of not living here again. LOL but irony is that u only can attain full moksha if u cease identification with any kind of karmic stream or actions at all once u attained that u can say: LETS EAT as Buddha did. coz theres no more difference, then u might want to escape samsara because u see that there's no more difference between existing and not existing. getting rewards and go on with karma, or not getting rewards and cease to be. So if we talk in levels. Then u see that enlightenment goes hand in hand with morals AND 'good', they do not contradict each other coz u speak about morality of rules, ethics and laws which is dualism of me vs world these staff is about interpersonal relationships. and these rules are essential to live with other people so they won't kill each other but problem is that these days ppl use these rules to create goodie goodie self-image thinking that this can be good thing. very much useless and relatively 'egoic thing' as far as I noticed but truer morality and fairness comes hand to hand with non-duality of me = world why do you think jesus said the famous golden rule: do to others what you want for yourself ? because thats non-dual perception, if everything is me then why do I want to hurt somebody if there's no reason for that other than my thought stories? then you can only hurt someone if u really got physically attacked, thats self-protection what all martial arts advocates to do, no one teaches u to use your powers at all, but everyone teaches to protect urself from immediate attacks. martial arts btw are very linked with spirituality its also good for the attacker. coz he will learn couple things about morality lol but if u are safe then why would you do that non-sense at all? u don't do it if don't follow your self-image in thoughts. so if u r not attached to your thoughts then you would only do some 'immoral' things only because of your immediate instincts and well instincts can also go out of hand sometimes because in your non-dual world there's no difference between lie and no-lie for instance same things because both are thoughts, however now you have less reasons to lie because there's no more attachment to your stories of past and future, so u no longer need to save ur past and future self-image BUT there's always now, so you might have reason to lie in the now to save your life in the now lets say someone is attacking u and u lie to them to save ur ass, thats your body talking and if we dig dipper in non-dual we can reach final frontiers where existence is equal to non-existence. physical pain to no-pain. now u don't need even to use ur instincts coz u transcended them. now here those who want to live will do all sorts of things to keep their body attached to life as sadhguru says. now comes another quote of jesus: Whoever hits you on the cheek, offer him the other also; and whoever takes away your coat, do not withhold your shirt from him either why? because instincts do not work anymore. nothing is different at all. thats when morality becomes extremely 'selfless' because now u can try to kill me on the cross and i won't reject idea! why not if my heart tells that its alright? if heart tells its alright then thats what I do coz i trust thats good and alright. but if heart tells me to stop and don't die on cross, then I don't do it and that will be alright too. by heart I mean following and being in tune with flow in its totallity U see these saints were saints because they followed heart on their micro-level. Because in complete non-duality you not doing anything, everything is decided spontaneously. (Jesus: don't think about tomorrow as tomorrow will care for itself) its hard to force being moralistic on urself, but its easy to surrender and flow but for macro-level u need rules and ethics and ideas about perfect morals because society has to be constructed in some way, otherwise its no different from jungles, and most of us will be dead in jungles quite quickly or the Boddhisatvas? they could escape samsara but choose to comeback to save everyone else. BECAUSE thats not decided by their mind, its just decided upon them. Its complete flow. but for all our relative lives the only difference is: do u want to act morally to uplift your self-image (thats in dualism) or do u want to act morally because thats what ur heart tells u (thats in non-dualism)? since its hard to listen to heart, I guess its already great if u can do conscious choice and separate good seed from bad seed because what goes around comes around
  24. Hey Oprah can be president, she showed her interest in that and she has massive support if trump is president, why do u think oprah cannot although she's very green and i don't think she'll be yellow anytime soon given bunch of green beliefs she has, but she had interviews with Adiyashanti, Deepak Chopra and with many enlightened dudes, so I think she certainly knows about enlightenment maybe she's on the path, who knows, she's very much into spirituality u Americans are the most lucky ones actually, at least you allowed to discuss such things on tv and US is one of the most open-minded and heterogenous society i think, so life will be better for your country if not for current generation, but next one might live in very much enlightened or at least in green-yellow 'atmosphere'. and then that will influence the whole world
  25. it works. I recently had 3 days of water-only on day 2 and 3 you not only have more clarity, energy and good mood, but also you can have non-dual glimpses more intensely on day 4 clarity, energy and non-dualness dropped, thoughts were mostly about food, so I got to stop but that was for my current body-state, overall it depends on practice, more you try that more days you can sustain fasting with more benefits, on certain point it will produce more drawbacks
