I am going through a kundalini awakening since 2016 and my life is a mess, I alternate with crippling anxiety and profound peace. I find it very difficult to focus(and care) on day to day activities like study, career, even working out (which I do consistently since 2009 but lately I lost almost all motivation and I am going to the gym like a chore). I lost interest in drugs, sex, party, music etc. I feel extremely ungrounded and disconnected from the 3d reality. Most meditation and yoga practices only make it worse, so now I am kind of focusing in balancing the root, sacral and solar plexus chakras, to ground myself more into the third dimension. I am also doing loving-kindness meditation to ease the process as suggested by the kundalini book in Leo's book list. But generally, I feel alone and kind of lost since I don't have any person/guru to talk(I live in Brazil, I now only one serious guru that I plan to meet in a retreat in October). It's kind of comforting to know that I am not alone in this, that's why I visit this forum daily. -

@Salvijus I would love to learn more about it @Why? Kriya Yoga isn't for everyone, you have to identify with your spiritual practice. I, for example, can't practice it because when i do, i became extremely agitated, anxious, angry, unfocused, i feel old injuries hurting like HELL. I don't know exactly why (i suspect, from books i read, that i am passing through a kundalini awakening and its amplifying unbalanced chakras), but it makes me unfunctional in the day-to-day world, so, i need something else, i'm going to try something loving/devotional as i don't identify either with more popular methods of meditation(like mindfulness/vipassana). Maybe the universe is telling you something. -

Someone experiencing anxiety (probably mixed with worry and fear) due to the kriya yoga practice? I practice on and off before and noticed something similar, now i am practicing everyday (one week but as i practiced before, i am in lesson 6 or 7) and on the last two days i am feeling so much anxiety that is making praticaly impossiple to focus (i need to read and study everyday). I read about it in a book (about kundalini in Leo's list) and it says that due to the gradual kundalini awakening (it doesn't have to be something sudden and dramatic as most people believe) and its interaction with the chakras, thus amplifying everything (good or bad). I noticed that most spiritual practiced has this effect in my after i did a 10-day vipassana retreat last year. I realy need someone experienced in this but i cant find anyone in my area (i live in Brazil). -

That's a great topic, i love to listen to spiritual teachers while high or tripping. I love anything from Alan Watts, Ram Dass or Matt Kahn. I will not recommend any lecture in particular because you have to let the universe show you what you need to see. Usually, the title indicates the topic, just click on the one that you are attracted to. -

He isn't using traditional methods. Leo said that he managed to create a method (probably using 5-meo-dmt) for creating enlightenment experiences and also stated that his experiences are getting deeper and deeper each time (even in consecutive days). The challenge is to rewire his brain to integrate this new perception shift permanently. Very unorthodox method, there is no way to estimate how long will take but the consensus is that he is getting really close to his goal. Going deep like this i won't be surprised if he succeeds. -

Imagine yourself in a room the size of your bathroom (sometimes you can't even sit), no external stimulus, just this room. Your reality is this room now, if you never head of meditation, you probably going to freak out for months in a endless stream of thoughts, fear, anxiety, guilt and despair before you even consider that this can be a blessing. -

I think he means that you don't have to pick a side or defend an opinion. It may be the right or logical opinion for you but no matter how logical it is, is just self-preservation deep down inside. Besides, every argument creates dualism (we versus them) and perpetuates suffering and illusion. It is all just a rat race, you can absolutely function in the "real world" without getting trapped in fundamentally useless discussions. I used to be into Red Pill, i recognize that it has its value to free yourself from a limited version of the world to a version where you have more power and "control" (if we have any) but at some point you will have to let go of all opinions, beliefs that turn inevitably into dogmas thus trapping you in illusion. -

It would be nice to know some testimonials (like yours, with more details) to dedicate myself for years to a practice. -

This makes sense, as we progress, there is so many techniques that if we do 9-36 rounds it would lose the purposes of being a spiritual practice for "householders". -

Hey, i am passing through the same shit as you, little by little ruining my life, can you be more specific about this "grounding yoga"? What routine exactly that you did? -
Recursoinominado replied to Leo Gura's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
I am confused, in page 102, teaching the first part of Kriya Pranayama, on the suggested daily routine, the author suggests 3 "sets" of Nadi Sodhana and Ujjayi Pranayama but before he called it "rounds" or "cycles" (3-12 of them). So, he meant 3 sets of 3-12 rounds (resulting in 9-36 rounds or cycles) or literally 3 cycles of each? -

Holy shit! Just did 30 minutes and calling it a trip its not a overstatement (I am experienced with psychedelics). At first my hands and head were tingling, and soon my whole body was tingling. When I stopped, my whole body was buzzing and tingling like a never felt before, my mouth and hands started to close spontaneously, I felt like I didn't have much control over my body, my breathing almost stopped and I freaked out for a second but decided to surrender to the experience. Definitely a powerful technique. I am excited to go deeper. It is a problem to use it daily? I saw Leo's video, I know what ego backlash is, as long as it isn't creating any trouble in my life, can I do it more often than once a week? -

Can i do it on my bed instead of on the floor? My bed is the spacious location in my house to laying down and spread my limbs. -

He even said in the book to keep the palms down during the concentration. -

I am mostly referring to the kundalini book on Leo's list. He talked about the potential to this type of yoga release traumas (that are mostly stored in the body) and I am deeply interested in this as I am searching (for years) for a way to release past traumas that I am sure that affected negatively my life. I also do vipassana meditation (one retreat as student and one as server) and noticed how much stuff I need to purge. For some time I am noticing more and more my "shadow side" (like egoistic behaviors, compulsions, negative beliefs, etc) and this is making me worse every day (at least this is how it feels like), mostly unconscious and automatic behaviors that I find almost impossible to override (would like some suggestions). Someone tried this kundalini yoga? Most people are giving attention only to kriya yoga, so I don't know. Also, I would like some opinions on this and how to release traumas. -

@onacloudynight great answer right there @Leo Gura I also find that vipassana shines only in long retreats, I would say 30 days or more -

For sometime, my life went to shit, a lot of things going wrong, almost nothing going right, I became judgmental, negative, I almost never give someone a praise. My ex was really positive and I was an asshole to her(even though she loves me to death). I don't know how I became this way, I wasn't like that. I don't know what to do about it. My intuition says is lack of self love, especially the way I treat myself (harshly, like a cruel dictator). I would like some ideas here to cultivate self love.
