I love Owen but he lies to his audience all the time. His integrity is pretty lose when it comes to making money. In one of his more recent videos he says that his freetour events make no profit and he does because he wants to practice public speaking. This is total bullshit. Everyone who knows basic marketing knows that the "free stuff" are always there to try to sell something else. And this is exactly what he does, that's their business model for years: attract people from YT videos and freetour events to sell bootcamps and other paid events. I've read several reports that they do sell you A LOT in every "free event".

I am from Bahia and lived here most of my life. Even if you "feel" safe, you are not, trust me. Of course, some places are much better than others, the south is usually safer but it is still Brazil. I lived in São Paulo for almost 2 years, felt generally safer than in Bahia but I knew it wasn't safe, just relatively safer. I also lived in small villages, places that should be the safest place to live in Brazil but when you get to know the place, you will be aware that there are still drug cartels and "minor" crimes like theft (usually without violence) are really common.

I am Brazillian and i wouldn't live here if I weren't born here. The violence alone is enough. People in developed countries have no idea how bad it is to deal with danger 24/7, not being able to fully relax unless you are very naive (which tourists tend to be).

If you have the room to yourself, you could trip by night (shrooms last 4~5h). You can rent an Airbnb for one or two days (for integration). Go to nature (beach, park, woods). Have friends.

Well, you can be cringe or out of the ordinary, which one was it? When I tried to be more social and confident, I often did "cringe" things but that's also the process of discovering a new you, sometimes you will go too far. If you are afraid of going too far sometimes, you will be forever stuck whatever you are. Also, consider that most people are WAAAAY too judgy and we tend to be like that too by default. The only way out of it is to stop judging yourself first and then develop a way to contemplate if you are going to far and correct if necessary.

Youtube is by far the website i use the most for years now. My favorite topic, like most of you, is self-help. I also am constantly learning about digital marketing and how to make money online. One way is to build a channel on YouTube and with AI, you can basically turn everything into a automatic soulless machine. One tool to generate scripts and endless ideas about some topic (like Chat-GPT), another to turn text into speech and maybe another for some random images passing through. Now, some tools can take voices like Jim Rohn's voice and use his voice to read some script generated by AI. They never admit it, in fact, people who does that usually lie about it, pretending it is a legit lecture from Jim Rohn (or any other). Now I can't trust any lecture with his voice, I have to pay attention if it is AI-generated or not. Many people don't know the difference (in a few years will get worse). My Youtube feed is flooded with those kinds of videos right now. I saw the video that Leo posted on the blog about this issue and had to rant about it. Those videos SUCK, they are robotic, soulless, and frankly disrespectful. I hope YouTube tags all AI-generated videos soon.

There will never be any AI Ramana Maharshi or AI Alan Watts. AI can and will ever only be able to parrot gems of wisdom, but cannot self-inquiry, or be god-realized. If, in 1000 years, that became possible, humanity would be doomed anyway.

I have been vegan and i have been carnivore and I feel MUCH better on carnivore diet. That being said, I feel the best when I eat 80-90% carnivore and 10-20% fruits.

She is from South Africa and didn't get how dangerous men are from lower development stages, especially in mobs and anonymity. This made me think a lot about the dangers of uncontrolled immigration and how a small part of xenophobic thinking can be reasonable.
