Recursoinominado replied to Leo Gura's topic in Society, Politics, Government, Environment, Current Events
This is a question of the ages, since forever, the most conscious human beings are questioning themselves about the problem of raising the consciousness of the masses. I personally believe that the change has to be on an individual level, one by one. In spite of everything, we do live in the most peaceful and abundant time in history, meaning that we are slowly but surely evolving as species. As tools for raising consciousness become more and more mainstream, it is only a matter of time for the collective consciousness to rise also and then becomes this energetic pull that the average vibration of the environment does to the individual. Some ideas could be: Widespread the practice of meditation, yoga and body therapies like bioenergetic and osho's dynamic meditation. Could you imagine if they taught those in school, colleges, prisons, police academy? Psychedelic therapies are also going to be a big thing soon, although I can't imagine this being part of a school curriculum or police academy. -

@Serotoninluv Well, it seems to me that the dot I am focused on, is the same that you ignore and thus your worldview has this hole in it that it is easier for you to ignore. -

@Serotoninluv As i said in my original post, i was always against guns for the same reasons you said above, you are just assuming that if i don't agree with you if because i don't have the more complex metacognition that you have, which is not the case. Yellow stage is characterized by being a spiral wizard because it can navigate through all the past stages and can see the limitations of all of them, including the naivete of green, beautiful but unpractical. It is good long-term thinking but doesn't answer the demands of this moment, right now. I gave you real-life examples that my me reconsider my initial position against guns because, as a yellow thinker, i have to consider that, in a lot of cases, the use of force is necessary, as much as i would like to solve things chanting mantras and blessing the shit out of everyone, that's not how you deal with a riot that is happening right now and you are in the middle of it responsible to protect your family's life and your own. -

@Scholar The social movements that are in the front of this "war", are characterized as green, I didn't said it is fully integrated green as only a few people are and a fully integrated green would be way more peaceful in their approach to social change. -

@tenta Well, this "fuck the police" mentality that is spreading says otherwise. With the rise of group identity politics, the tendency is to generalize ones action by their "group identity" and that's usually manufactured by the leaders of social movements like Antifa, BLM, feminism movement etc. The intention is to label every one of the chosen group as they want to and establish a fixed idea. They are not only "exposing', they are actively inciting a war. If they want to change structural racism and police brutality, Rioting is NOT the most effective means. It is comparable to a child tantrum, sure, they could even be mad for a good reason, they have the right to feel as they feel but expressing that breaking shit in the house isn't going to accomplish anything besides a strong(er) reaction from mommy and daddy. -
Generally, yes, it's pretty good, but not usually in-depth information.

@AtheisticNonduality They are not, but here stage green people still say that cops are unnecessary or they are all bad, all the time, not acknowledging the giant dark problem they have to face every day, for years. In America right now, the same is happening because people don't realize the complexity of the problem because they are detached from real-world experience and trying to solve a complex problem with what they THINK things should work. -

Most people are clueless as fuck as the dangers of the world, as someone who lives in Brazil and saw medieval shit going on on a regular basis, I look at people from stage green people from developed places as basically lost children, babbling beautiful ideas with no grounding in real-world experience at all. People that are way too hateful on cops wouldn't last one day without them. Here in Brazil we have a militarized police force, they are known to be animals and they are trained to be. People shit on them often but once in a while, the police go on a strike (in spite of it being unconstitutional, but, who will force them to work?) and man, all hell breaks loose, the city just stops, riots, looters, kidnappings, assaults EVERYWHERE, the city looks like the movie The Purge, everyone is locked inside their houses while the criminals run free through the city. And that's when I really appreciate the importance of the cops, as bad as they seem and as corrupt as they are. The problem is way more complex than stage green people like to admit. -

@electroBeam Well, not if you catch yourself in a riot zone which is also a no police zone. Or if you have a business that is in danger of destruction by rioters and looters or if you live in the area or have a car parked in the area or even are driving and get stuck in a riot. They just showed us DOZENS of pretty good reasons to have a gun and protect yourself when the gov will not. @SerpaeTetra I don't know if it is an overreaction man, if 2020 proven something is that we, as a global society, are way more unstable that we like to think. We are always one bad thing away from social chaos. And I am not being pessimist, at this point, it is just common sense to wait for the next big chaos that we are going to face @Raphael Could be a random guy on the other side of the world eating a contaminated dead animal @Serotoninluv This is a typical stage green view, beautiful but unpractical. Sometimes you have to think in individualistic terms, imagine yourself with a store that it is your only means of living and of your family in the middle of a riot that you have no control at all. Would you say: nah man, let them steal everything and burn my store down, that is the compassionate and collectivist thing to do, i will not use any means to protect myself or my family we are all going to starve but, who cares, all is one -

This very forum exists because Reality is waaaay more miraculous and intelligent than most people realize. Spirituality starts with this acknowledgment. Of course, we are no different than God itself or the Universe but, in a dualistic sense, God is always guiding us, moment to moment into our maximum spiritual evolution possible, keep going -
Well, that fires you up to get your shit together and live an awesome life or you just secretly hate them? Admiration and jealousy can be confused but they lead to completely different results. One time Leo said something that stuck with me: "The only time to compare your life with others is to expand the limits of what is possible for you."

This whole video is a shit show of inauthenticity, not only by Ted Cruz but the other journalists too, it is kind of scary that so many people actually watch this kind of crap and form opinions and world views.

@An young being yeas, of course, here in this forum you can find several reports of people experiencing non-duality prior to any knowledge of it. Obviously, after the fact, when you study non-duality, you can remember and make sense of that experience you once had. -
28 yo here, i feel you bro, in a way, i still think like a boy trying for years to figure out my life, waiting for some breakthrough and nothing really significant changes.

A lot of people experience it through psychedelic experiences without any previous knowledge of it but they mostly also doesn't know what the hell happened, usually dismissed it as some silly hallucination. -

Well, i think the lesson here isn't to touch on 5-Meo but to not waste your precious time looking into conspiracy theory that might or not be true. We become what we pay attention to, go spent some time contemplating God, and Love, and Peace, and Beauty, and Bliss. -
That's AWESOME! So much value, thank you.

Could be: Brain Fog caused by junkie foods, sugar, dehydration (could be chronic), lack of quality sleep, heavy metal or multiple toxicities, drugs (including coffee), eating too much and not optimal foods(I would recommend you to try a raw food diet), lack of sunlight, vitamin deficiencies, bad health in general. Anxiety. Addictions, like addiction to stimulation, read about dopamine detox. Porn and masturbation (wasting powerful sexual energy + dopamine depletion). Traumas related to learning and self-development. Lack of self-esteem. Lack of determination/persistence, relates to poor self-esteem, doesn't know how to cope with hard tasks, gets frustrated easily. Ultimately, you probably lack the brain training necessary to focus on hard non-stimulating tasks and you can train it despite all the above. Just treat the reading like a meditation session, sit in a meditative position, try to read something as long as possible without losing focus. When you lose it, observe the frustration and emotions bubbling up, breathe deeply, let them go and try again. Repeat ad infinitum until you have the concentration ability of a zen master.

Well, when you are exceptional, all the spotlights are on you VS mediocre and no one cares. When you stand out, life suddenly gets serious, you have responsabilities. When you stay with the masses, keeping your head down, you can bullshit your way until the moment you die, it's easy and, in today society, you totally can. It is the eternal battle between the easy life VS the meaningful life, which is NOT easy, but has it's rewards. High risk and high rewards. In using your gifts, you are advancing through the dark woods, where no one ever went, not this woods, at least. And you will have to hack your way out of there and leave a trail. There is no manual to do that, you are the first, you have to think for yourself, no one will do it for you, all the pressure is on you. Think about it. This seem scary? Because it is. In a way, we brainwash ourselves into down play the importance of our life, we denial the definitiveness of death. That's why people suddenly transform the way they approach life when facing near death experiences. Those lucky bastards. Most people are not that lucky, for those people, the realization that they pissed their life away will come in their death bed, when it's too late to do anything. In a way, we do this on purpose, we want to take the responsibility of our life with this maneuver. When we wait until the last minute to realize what we lost, in a way, we can rationalize that it wasn't our fault, we can say that we have been given a bad hand and now is too late, far from our reach. It's easy, see?

Thank you, this was really interesting to watch, he is a fitness funny YouTuber that awakened, not your everyday stage green frail hippie spiritual seeker. He also claims that his GF is self-realized since she can remember, here is a text in his Instagram: "Q: DO YOU HAVE A GF NOW? A: Yap. She's also the only teacher I've ever had. Her mind is one of the fascinating universes I've ever came across. Not only on the intellectual and creative level of the brain, she's transcended her mind, meaning she's Awakened to her True Nature since she was 3. If there are musical geniuses like Mozart, it only makes sense to have spiritual geniuses like this one here. You just gotta find them through the IG DM. ~ She told me the 360 degrees Infinite Awareness/Buddha Mind/Christ Consciousness/Natty State has been her default mode for as long as she can remember, and doesn't understand how you can go into a meditation session without instantly blowing up so your sense of "noself" fills up the the Infinite Space. She puts me to shame. She frightens me. She's had all the insights and meditation experiences, Nirvanas, Satoris, Jhanas, gained from all my meditation without much practice. ~ She made me realized a lot of this work is "genetics" and some would say she did the work "previous life". ~ If I can put a finger on it during the instant Samadhi accessed instantly when I'm around her...I think her level of Realization and meditation prowess is up there with Elkhart Tolle and Osho anc Jed McKenna or krishnamurti. and the only difference is this 21 year old computer science major hates talking about "Spirituality"...that which cannot be simpler. Lol. Check out the music I made with her when we first met link in bio. Also working on another video of her 1 month gains at the gym using non-dual awareness."
