  1. Option A: Meetups/Aktivities - I personaly find it hard to find the right meetups. But there you've got it easy because people are often there to meet people. Option B: "Hey you seem nice. I want to get to know you..." - The problem with this is, in my opinion, that it is hard to spot "high consciousness" people just by looks.
  2. I think like with every friendship: try to get high conciousness ones with overlaping values and hobbys. These male issues should then fade away.
  3. My best guess would be that she is afraid of being hurt, which results in fear of intimacy.
  4. A really nice idea. Also @Girzo I like how you actually invest time on the Reflection part, which is often overlooked. Quick Tip: Try to spot your needy behaviour. Its often the little things that make her test you.
  5. Growing up works, but I guess that is unrealistic and incompatible. My personal anger aside,it is clear to see that you yourself do not even want a solution.
  6. @WaterfallMachine That was juicy wisdom. Thanks.
  7. @Nexeternity Violins are beautiful. Go for it!
  8. I really like the idea of 'dismantling your defenses', which results in freedom from these 'should's' and 'have to's', while at the same time builds your confidence and satisfaction with yourself. Or you can just cover up everything with even more lies and fake masks. I'm not even sure about that. Actually, you can start wherever you want. Sure, some ways are more effective then others, but the path is quite different for everybody.
  9. I like the Microsoft Surface the most. Portable, and you can do sketches and stuff. And it looks really nice.
  10. @Lorcan Be careful not trying to overachieve. Having those goals is fine, but sound kind of neurotic. For example taking your sleeping schedule: Wake up at 6 and actually do it instead of going for 4:30 every day and sleeping in again.
  11. @Clint Eastwood You do won't to be able to control your desires. Having a wet dream is something that is totally out of your control and a natural reaction that you would have had ages ago if you did not masturbate a hundred million times a day, which makes it a good sign of progress I haven't had one ever, before doing Nofap. I thought they were a myth.
  12. What are the most effective ways to raise your awareness? I have been meditating for about a year now, but my awareness has only slightly improved. My neurosis have improved a lot, the bare awareness sadly just a bit. At the moment I am doing half an hour of do-nothing in the morning and squeezing in ten minutes of extra meditation when I feel like it. Another problem is the fact that I really struggle with long meditation sessions, not being able to meditate for long periods of time. Should I try to force it with Strong Determination Sitting? Are there other more effective ways to raise awareness? Thanks for your replies in advance
  13. @Emre I find the act of twerking and sending that out to guys kinda attention seeking. Something you might not want around you if it is a recurring pattern.
  14. @Max_V I am at 72! Lets go for the 90! @Clint Eastwood No, its exactly the point.
  15. @Shin you crack me up every time you are now officially shin-sensei
  16. @Max_V Did you have one of those experiences? If so, with or without drugs? @Adam M I think reading books can motivate you and is no distraction. Also, just take a few moments and think about WHY you want to do it? Just really think about it. And then think about why you don't want to do it today. And then decide what to do today. And don't feel guilty about it, even if you decide to skip a day.
  17. By buying and selling stuff or by selling stuff you already own?
  18. Oh yeah, I want do be done by awareness. Seems reasonable though. My current way of practicing daily mindfulness is focusing in on the body and senses, is that the right track? I really like that idea. Might work well.
  19. Thanks for the answers! So I am gonna try to do longer meditation, as well as being more mindful through the day, which I find to be the harder thing, because you so easily forget.
  20. @Hardkill "I did nothing at all and nothing at all happened. I am very disappointed."
  21. @ajasatya First: I really like your attitude towards things. If i remember correctly, you said in a post that you just dropped all of your cravings in one go. Was it some kind of breakthrough 'aha' moment? Secondly. when I see your profile pic I always assume you are looking at someones butt. Just wanted to put that out there.
  22. Sometimes I feel like a guy from a cult when I have to hold back my opinion on this stuff around family/friends/strangers. It's also kinda sad, I feel more and more alienated. Its hard o find like minded people near you.
