  1. There's also this in-between area (in-between physics and metaphysics) which I call "area science is damn uncomfortable with, and tends to reject." Things like: - Personality typology (They're OK with Big Five, not ok with Enneagram.) - Astrology (which is too holistic to study properly, but is basically a special case of...) -...Fractal Cosmology (which some physicists support and some/many? reject.) Scientists like things in easily digestible bites, they are really uncomfortable with holism.
  2. The Universe is Shiva-Shakti, Being-Manifesting. Manifesting is patterned, so of course you can get practical answers by examining the patterns.
  3. Certain type of music (repetitive pop/rock) really gets stuck in my head, which I don't like, so I assume it's harmful. Classical, prog, jazz and ambient less so.
  4. I've had cool entheogenic experiences, but it's just a download of insight: you can't abide in it during normal activity, which is the point of enlightenment.
  5. If you get an upset stomach after eating certain fruit, you cannot ignore that. That is your body telling you what not to eat.
  6. Check your blood type as well. If you're type O meat is right for you. Vegetarianism is a type A bag.
  7. That's fine during the summer. In the winter the sun isn't strong enough many places.
  8. Which fruit cause an upset stomach? It sounds like you may be blood type A or AB and thus need to avoid certain (but not all) fruit.
  9. Any idea what the optimal dose of K2 is per 5000 IU? I've always taken K2 (MK7) with D3 (3000 IU), but on my last blood test 25-OH dipped from 47 to 39, so I increased it to 4000 IU, but now I'm thinking maybe I need more K2.
  10. You can't "manage" these kind of people in the sense of "how do I get them to do what I want?" They have power and authority and your only option is to make yourself so valuable that you have leverage as far as work hours or whatever conditions you desire. Otherwise, short of starting your own business, you have to put up with it. (Well, you don't "have to", but living with parents for the foreseeable future is probably not enticing.) The name of the game in business is "who needs whom more?"
  11. Actually, Leo has already covered the major pitfall of enlightenment in his Zen Devils video. Mahasamadhi is a non-issue. What will happen is you will hit mahasamadhi and then your karma will get exhausted during the integration period. Maybe, to riff off Shanmugam, if you're really old and feeble you are presented with a choice, otherwise you're probably not. (I assume Mahasamadhi is Unity Consciousness and not sahaja, since karma has already been exhausted by the time sahaja is reached.) That is what the people who have gone through it have told me (I haven't completed it myself yet.) I wasn't even presented with a choice upon reaching 1000, since I had no intention of dying. Edit: A thought has occurred to me as to why the choice of death may be presented. The integration period can involve going through added crap to exhaust your karma fully (although usually not THAT bad.) If, however, you're already old and feeble, in pain, whatever, it may exacerbate all of that. Maybe that's what it's about. Taking the no-reincarnation option upon death or staying alive and going through the integration period struggles. This is a theory based on my experience so far.
  12. First step, as was mentioned, is to become independent. If no job, find a job. If job but low pay, still move out and find a roommate/roommates. Then you can actually work on the other stuff, if it needs work.
  13. ENFPs are fun, you just have to ground them in physical reality so they don't fly away on a cloud of possibilities...
  14. As I interpret it, death and resurrection aren't literal but metaphoric, death of the ego and rebirth in the natural state. If salvation is somehow different from enlightenment, why did Jesus describe what amounts to sahaja in Matthew 18:3 as "kingdom of heaven."? Is there higher you can go than "kingdom of heaven"? The only question on my mind is what kind of non-duality teacher Jesus was. I suspect he was some kind of bhakti yogi, but I haven't researched the Bible enough to be confident.
  15. https://www.mastersportal.eu/studies/281/innovation-and-entrepreneurship.html#content:contents It's a Master's Programme, so figure out what you need as far as undergraduate studies to get in, but it seems right up your alley. You need a lot of real world skills and experience to make your dreams a reality, so get as much relevant education as you can. P.S. This was written on the assumption that higher education in Norway is free. If that is indeed the case, this is a no-brainer.
  16. As for Jesus: Matthew 18:3 and Luke 17:21. The first is a direct pointer to sahaja.
  17. All the excitement aside, the real issue can be very simply stated: how many people has he led to sahaja? Everything else is trappings, theatrics, charisma and hype. Cold hard numbers is what matters. This process is demystifiable down to a science. Stabilized in non-duality yet? Cosmic consciousness? God Consciousness, etc.? If so, how long did it take? If not, how long have you been at it? Only results matter, not gurus or teachers and their awesome awesomeness. People have had great results with no-name teachers with no-trappings, no charisma, but also no B.S.
  18. In your study of psychology, did you read the psychoanalysts, like Jung and Hornay, e.g.? I've found them incredibly helpful.
  19. Ttranscendental Meditation is the lazy man's spiritual practice. It's almost as simple as breath meditation. Actually, depending on how detailed your breath meditation approach is, it may be simpler. (And I do agree with your sentiment in principle - it's better to begin to do something simple - which you will persist with - than something involved that you won't.)
  20. Perhaps extraverts are more inclined to practice some form of bhakti, or devotional sadhana as opposed to Self-Enquiry?
  21. Absolutely. There's no difference between you and other people existentially, but nature still runs your body, so a lot of the activities of daily life are the same as they were (or better for reasons too long to get into here.) Like, you can still tell which women you are sexually attracted to and which not, even though on an existential level there is no "I" and "you." It's all appearances in the Self, but it doesn't mean your body doesn't know which appearances are more arousing.
  22. The other argument against it is that there's a marked difference between Unity Consciousness, and especially Sahaja (the stabilized version) and all previous stages. All the previous stages FEEL incomplete, like something is missing. It feels complete, like the search is over. So I'm not ready to buy.
  23. I will say this: some people probably do believe, consciously or unconsciously, that self-realization is about being "nice" or "kind" or "good" or whatever. It's totally not. (We're speaking on the level of psychological experience and outward behavior.) It's about being whole, complete, integrated. It's not about being Gandhi, or Jesus or Mother Teresa. They all had their prarabdha, you have yours.
  24. No problem! Some background: Jan Esmann was a longtime TM meditator, so some of the stage names he uses are from Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's map that I remember from the early 90s (and probably going back a lot earlier.) E.g. Unity Consciousness is one of these (I call it 1000, or The Absolute) as is God Consciousness (800s - although a lot of people use God Consciousness for it.) Which is why the whole Shiva Consciousness stage seems very fishy.
  25. Did he give specific examples of people stabilized in this stage? 'Cause I'd love to pick their ear. I honestly don't understand its implications. How does it logically progress from lower stages? I want to say it sounds like a florid God Consciousness experience (i.e. 800s) prior to self-realization, but I don't know, obviously. I understand the progression of 600 to 1000, let's say: less and less distance between perceived Self And Other, until Other fully merges into The Self. What more is there after that? No idea. OK, here's a link to his map of consciousness. I'm familiar with everything upto Shiva Consciousness, and he describes them accurately as far as I can tell. Certainly he gets "Unity Consciousness" and Sahaja right. No complaints at all. That's right on the money. So, yeah, very intriguing. Edit: I did some research on what he's talking about. Apparently the first teacher to mention the Blue Being was Swami Muktananda. He was, like Osho, a pretty colorful guy to say the least. I don't think he was more self-realized than Ramana Maharshi. Jan Esmann had this experience while in the 800s/God Consciousness stage, which is pretty funky and such psychedelic experiences are possible. I see no strong evidence that this is a stage beyond sahaja, so I'm gonna file it under "cool story, bro."
