  1. Hello everyone, I am trying to become more plant based in my diet and I was wondering whether tofu was good or bad for that. What are some foods which have a good sources of protein are low processed and are not meats, fish, or nuts? Thank you.
  2. I'll try to help create this magic pill
  3. One other good strategy is to start with hot to open the pores and relax the muscles, then before you get out, turn the water to cold for 1-2 minutes to make yourself alert and so the pores can close again. Kinda like getting the best of both world, but then you can play around with the length of time for cold vs hot.
  4. Thank you very much everyone, At the moment it's alittle hard to take out certain food groups from my diet because my dietician and parents (mostly my dietician, but my parents listen to her) are forcing me to eat from all the food groups, so I can get a variety of foods (including meats at least once per week), and are labelling the plant based stuff as being a fad. However, my dietician has said that in the future I can become more plant based if I want, which is nice, but the fact she says it's a fad, is not what I agree with, (though part of me does, because I would not consider myself as being a healthy/quality eater in the past, which is the same for the rest of my family but then, I don't have any health problem except underweight), because why would people be doing it then? Lol.
  5. Hello, just one quick question, if all there is is god, and the ego or self is an illusion, what's the point of trying to find your authentic self, or life-purpose? Isn't that all an illusion as well? Because if all there is is god; Absolute Infinity, well you, where does the higher or lower self come from, or the authentic self? Wouldn't these all just be projections of the ego as well? Thank you
  6. consciousness (all that there is); my understanding of Leo, metaphysics and other people who talk about Truth.
  7. Do you do exercise? What is your favourite exercise to do?
  8. Ah, okay because I have been resisting any unhealthy meals for the past 7 months, however, my bad habits have been urging me to "go back". But then again, it's about knowing what's unhealthy, if science sais a varied diet with bread, wheat, or dairy, grains and deserts or Macdonald's is okay every once in a while, that's only a perspective.
  9. Leo's videos say to stop eating pretty much stop eating everything I used to eat (bread, wheat, pizza, deserts, Macdonald's), but then if you think of what science sais; you can eat anything as long as it is not in excess. So that's a bit contradictory, however, I will consider what you say, and try to avoid the crappy food. Thank you though
  10. Thank you very much everyone. I have noticed that in my life, it is a lot of the ideas society and people have put into it put into our heads that we fall pray to because they are put into our subconscious. These ideas, habits and such I have developed from seeing it in other people and I think are negative ones, that I have to break, such as; my automatic subconscious desire for the doing and having of bigger better, louder stimulation (I think this is society influences such; playing video games, listening to music like at concerts, watching TV, delicious massive meals. These things are opposite of a minimalist lifestyle. However, I think a good focus for me would be to maintaining a healthy but simple lifestyle, reprogram my subconscious mind to stay away from unhealthy stimulation and change the way I think about fun (to being things that calm the mind, not stimulate it), as well as to start working on my life purpose.
  11. Hello, does anyone have any advice for me to start self-actualization, apart from consciously trying to minimize my life, by trying to avoid as much as possible and not think about things like having fun, quick pleasures, hanging out with people, entertainment and being busy (a few things on Leo's 'biggest Traps of this work' page and what I would normally do subconsciously because it's the summer now and I am a high school graduate, however, I now see that it would take me no where in personal growth). To minimize, I now spend most of my time practicing the focus component of mindfulness while I am eating food by trying to focus on the texture of food, not the taste, (however It's very tough) and not think about all the other things I could do which could use up my time. Apart from that, I do daily meditation, exercise and go to appointments for school stuff. I'm trying to take full responsibility for my life and plan for the future, however, this has not really worked, because the only thing for me in the future is school, some other appointments, and trying to find out how I'm going to minimize my life. I don't know where this is taking me in my self-actualization because and I don't know if this is where someone should start. It is somewhat boring, though I guess that is normal. Does this pair up with anyone else as well? Thank you.
  12. I would like to know if you raise your mindfulness, such as practising it through different activities in life, will that help to raise awareness as well?
  13. Hello, I have just a quick question. Does anyone have any tips and pointers with practising sensory equanimity around distractions (such as food). I did it once and it took me 1 hour of focussing on a sensation in my breathing, where I was able to take two bites and experience mainly the texture of the food, while my thoughts then took me back to the taste of the food. I spent the past few days trying to do the same thing, however I have been listening to the thoughts it seems so. Would that pretty much be how you would apply the technique? Focussing on one thing for a long time, while ignoring the distractions around you from thoughts and the physical world then switching focus to something else while maintaining focus? Thank you, and I hope that made sense. This is my first post, my apologies if it's unclear.
