Forewarning, I am not trying to promote fascist ideology. Recently I have found myself getting more and more interested in politics and government and really society as whole, and today, I have been idly thinking about this: I am only lightly informed about each of the stages of Spiral Dynamics, but I feel I have a good grasp of how each stage relates to the others. Initially, I thought that, no, fascism is something that exists because we are living in times where much of the world is swamped in the lower stages and so fascism just happens essentially by nature. I then started to think about what a fascist might look like at higher stages in the model. What would fascism look like in a stage green society? Could a stage green society even be manipulated into fascist ways? And additionally with this, would a stage green society manipulated in such a fashion still be fascist, or would it be something entirely different? Is there an example of this currently? I've posed these questions for stage green, but they can be applied to each of the stages above as well for the sake of discussion. What do you think?

I encourage you to have an open discussion about your sexual needs and desires with your partner. It can be embarrassing (it was for me at least), but it helps tremendously in demystifying sex and as well as promotes intimacy. I know that for some, it can be especially challenging to open up to a significant other about things of this nature, but I am confident that communicating sexual wants and needs will only benefit you in the long run.

Greetings, I have struggled in the past with forming a solid habit around meditation. Though I have found something that I feel makes it so much easier to form the habit and I thought I would share it with everyone today. Lately I have been keeping a journal of my meditation sessions and answering some questions after each session. These questions include the following: 1.) How long did the session last? 2.) What were some notable thoughts or feelings? 3.) What were some insights that I had, if any? 4.) Is there anything I'd like to focus on or try for next session? These questions have really given me something to focus on and helped set a foundation for progress. If anyone has any other questions they think would be great to add to these 4 questions, I'd love to hear you out!

@Sage_Elias I like this a lot! @mathieu I feel that this method works well for me regardless of the technique that I am using. It's just that the questions get answered differently. I like that rating idea. I never thought to rate my sessions, haha -
@HelloThere Have you tried searching local Facebook groups, subreddits, the paper, etc? If you cannot find what you're looking for, it might be that there are people like yourself that are searching for this sort of thing. You might try starting a group yourself and seeing what sort of responses you get. Best of luck! I am fortunate to have one individual that lives right down the road from me that is interested in this pursuit. There are also things like retreats and seminars, so throw in those buzzwords if that is something you'd like to look for as well.

Where are you meditating? If you're meditating on your bed, or in a chair, or anything that supports your back, you might try sitting on the ground. It can be uncomfortable so maybe sit on a cushion. Also, how long do you spend meditating? If you find yourself falling asleep after only half an hour, you can try cutting your meditation sessions shorter and doing more of them throughout the day. Another thing you can try is focusing your mind on something, say, your breathing, for five minutes before you begin your meditation session. I believe Leo covered a similar topic in one of his videos. Ultimately, I feel that if your meditation routine is consistent enough, this type of thing will go away on its own. You will just have to experiment with different techniques involving position, location, duration, etc. Great job for keeping at it for a year! -
I am not trying to blow it out of proportion, and I am definitely not beating myself up over this. I don't feel stressed out over it. I just recognize that I have little to no control over these urges and act out on them 9 times out of 10. I have come to the conclusion that I am addicted to pornography. You would say the first step to quitting is what, not feeling bad? I can work on that, but that's something that literally goes hand in hand with masturbation for many people. By that, I mean guilt, shame, embarrassment. I am still hung up on whether or not I should approach someone in my life to get help with this.

I was going to start a new topic, but I feel like this topic is flooding this board, so I'll just post in this thread. I am overwhelmingly addicted to PMO. I am absolutely ashamed of it. I know that I have the power to overcome this crippling addiction. The problem is that it is just so easy to tune out for 20 minutes, PMO, and move on. As a result, I have not been able to kick this habit. The question I have is this: Would it help if I told someone that I know personally, whether it's friends or family, that I am addicted to PMO and need help? Right now I do not feel like I could live with the embarrassment, though we all know that life goes on. Thanks for any input.

It's a bitter pill to swallow at first. I am slowly beginning to cut the ties to a lot of friends that I once considered close. I am almost ashamed to admit that I no longer desire the same thing they do. It's rough. Many of them approach me questioning where I've been, why haven't I hit them up in so long? I am just not interested in partying and gaming and smoking weed everyday. It feels like I am covered in sticky slime that is addiction and slowly, but surely, it is all coming off, and that feels alright.

@HII I was not sure where it was from, so I looked it up and apparently it is album art for a band called Cult of Fire. The album is titled "मृत्यु का तापसी अनुध्यान"

I have been pursuing music for about six years now and I have finally found my niche. I know much of what I make is not everyones cup of tea, so keep that in mind if you have a gander.

This is great advice and certainly something I was looking for. Thank you.

I feel that I have come to a crossroads in life. One of those roads is pursuing what I have thought to be my passion, which is creating and sharing music. The other road is sidelining music to explore what else is out there. Lately I have had doubts about whether or not music is truly a passion of mine. Is it just something that I enjoy doing occasionally? Only sometimes do I wake up with a sense of renewal, thirsting to get back to the songs I am creating. It could also just be that I am heavily distracted by all the social media, games, porn, etc. I have several questions that I would like to get others insight on. 1.) How do you know that your passion is really your passion? 2.) Is it possible / okay to have more than one passion and to pursue multiple passions? 3.) When it comes to your passion, do you wake up with a drive to continue pursuing your passion in a meaningful way?
